Thanks Ethan I didn't know that. Is there a stat for effective tackles? What is the basis of a stat for a tackle, do you just have to touch them or bring them down?

Most of ANB's tackles are when he is the third player in, after one of his team mates has the opponent on the grass. His actual tackles, one on one, are usually ineffective.

Be my guest, give him a call.

    Doubt he would be interested.

Well if you are calling me a liar, then pigs do fly.
  6. May, Lever! To a lesser extent, Melsham, Hibberd.
  7. What, you think running 3rd in a Brownlow is a "supposed achievement"?
  8. We have seen 4 players go and clearly we will have more changes. IMO we have identified a few players who are tradeable and we are keeping them until deals can be done. Then again I could be wrong, I remember it happening once.

Never had a scotch in my life.
  10. That would be a sensational deal, but maybe a large AFL contribution, together with help in getting it through the approval stage would be a pretty good deal too.

I am so disillusioned with footy and our season, I have already stopped taping the 2 sunday morning footy shows. Still taping the rest during the week, in the hope there is a good trade rumour for us.
  12. Don't forget Melksham, who is another marking goal kicker, though not a key forward, but similar to Fritter.
  13. Interesting, because if that happened, it would mean the club we are probably losing pick 2 to, will have also benefited from the KK deal, again involving us, in which we basically got nothing in the deal.
  14. Only won't happen because every other club would then try the same thing. Also, if GC do get pick 2 and we say nothing about it, I expect that could be because we have done a deal for something with the AFL and have been told to publicly cop it on the chin. We will see. It is far more productive to work with City Hall, than against it.

No doubt that is correct and the question for the FD, given mistakes made in drafting, can we get good players at the split picks.

Was told today to ignore what the Blues or Media say, Eddie will be playing with them again next year.
  17. I wasn’t defending the Bentleigh Club and it doesn’t need rezoning. It is ripe for housing development when we pull the trigger. So, wrong on both points.
  18. Don't forget what it sits on, which we own.
  19. TBH, Tim is a nice guy, but if we can't find a better option than a not best 22, 29 year old, perennially injured player, the Recruiting Department is useless.
  20. Yes, all you need it pick 1.
  21. I just posted this on the Split the Picks thread: Given the salary cap room required by GWS and their apparent need for 2 top 5 players, who will be on base payments, our pick 2, but likely 3, could be extremely valuable. If we are prepared to split picks and take 2 players later in the first round, I would imagine GWS would also throw a good player or players into the deal, to get it done. That could mean we turn our pick into 3-4 players. If the bloke we want is Anderson and we lose the pick, we might rate the next batch fairly equally and be prepared to do a big deal of the type I have outlined above. If that is possible, who could we reasonably target from GWS?

  23. You remember her dad Ian, the former President of Richmond.
  24. There you have it. Everyone did it. Many admitted it. Only one club got investigated.
