If we win the PF there is going to be a bit of angst among those that miss out. That is natural. I don't think Jones would be a liability in a GF, especially if he was the sub, as he would do anything on the ground to win. If he was sub and had some game time, he would be fresh and raring to go. The 1%'s alone could be a significant contribution. He can still snag a major, or give a score assist, or whatever and he is experienced. He is not quick, but is footy smart and that would allow him to make position. However, I could only see him play fp or hff with a defensive tagging mindset and we are pretty set there. I am not advocating he plays only that if he did he could contribute. Players like Melksham, Hibberd, Smith, Weid, Jones and JJ are going to be very disappointed if they miss out on a GF if we make it, but that is footy. Tomlinson also will be doing it hard.

Not just Toby who could be out, as Tom Green, Cumming and Reid are definite outs. Though Daniels, Finlayson and O'Halloran could be available.

That vision/angle is worse for Toby than the other 2 I saw. I am not a lip reader, but Stevic appears to say “hey”, which is a reaction to being bumped/touched.

Well I think I would rather we play GWS and without Toby that is less likely. They fade in games and I think we have their measure. The Cats worry me. I suppose my ideal is he gets 2 weeks and they beat the Cats.

That’s fine but you are ignoring one fact, did he actually bump him or touch his hand. The video does not show a bump and Stevic does not react like a player has just bumped him. He would have reported him on the spot. Guilt is still important these days.

Andrews is their best defender by a mile. Adams isn’t even an automatic best 22 and hasn’t played more than 11 games a year in the last 6 years.

Not according to the media. They believe what he says is very relevant, especially as the other camera angle doesn't show a bump, but rather a hand touch and then Stevic turns around. If Stevic says he never touched me, do you think the MRO won't believe him? Considering there is no vision of actual contact, what the umpire says is the most important thing anyone will say on the matter.

What the umpire says is clearly relevant as he is the one who was bumped “allegedly “.

TBH Stevic had a strange look and continued to discuss something and it didn't look like a report on the spot. I get the feeling Stevic doesn't want to report him and from the angle we saw, you don't actually see contact. If Stevic says he was only lightly brushed and he wasn't concerned, it will be a fine. Otherwise everyone will be at the Tribunal and possibly Court all week. I think Toby will cop a fine and that will end it. Very stupid action and in a final with more to come.

If the rain comes as predicted at half time, I hope we are well up. Harder to score in the wet.
