Farewell Luke Jackson
Do we start a countdown thread titled âJacko re signs with Dees.â?

Couldnât disagree more.

Farewell Luke Jackson
I just canât believe that if Jacko wanted to go home he wouldnât have told us last year, when he knew we wanted Cerra. He would have probably known his priority last October/November and surely he would have raised it with us as we might have agreed and done a deal if he was so determined to go home. It all leads me to think he will re sign, but maybe only for a few years and then reassess. However, 2 late first round picks and another 30 year old forward/ruckman is not nearly enough for Jacko.

Do I detect a change in attitude?

Caro Apologise to Dees Fans
I reckon mine would be putrid by now, so I just keep the bottle displayed on the bar, as another reminder of a great bloke, a friend and the most skilful player I have ever seen.

Doesnât have to be hate, could just be a strong dislike.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Well our 2 helped us win a flag. I can live with that. If you want to employ hindsight, you could look at Weid when McKay and Curnow were still available. Every draft will throw up the âwhat ifsâ.

I think âhatredâ is an overly emotive description here. But let me tell you what I think of Carlton, ( the club and fans ) not the players!

Think Caro is now busy with the Bartlett legal action.

No she didnât and obviously wonât. She is also still harping on about the May and Melksham incident, like a dog with a bone.

2022 Injury List
Has played one game in last 4 and is obviously injured. Wonât be Majak. Unfortunately we have left ourselves very thin on ruck depth and it was always a risk. We will have to get inventive and probably use Weid and Tomlinson to help LJ in the ruck. You never know, it will make us less predictable.

2022 Injury List
Agree. We have been very predictable for a while, even kicking out from goal always to a pack on the left. It has hurt our quick ball movement and along with our fumbling, has caused heavy turnover scores against us. Max, Turner and M.Brown out with May, Tomlinson and Weid in. May does what he does down back and Tomlinson and Weid help LJ out in the ruck. The rest of the guys obviously need to lift. I would drop Chandler and get Bedford and Hunt back to inject some more pace. Maybe ANB has a rest for a week. Why not try Bedford and Hunt in the middle here and there or on a wing, as outside mids, to get some run from the clearance. Viney and Oliver get the ball to them and they take off. Something a bit different that catches the opposition off guard. Hopefully Rivers is back soon too and Bowey maybe gets a week off to refresh. He is still young and a week off wouldnât hurt him. We donât change the whole game plan, but rather get back to our manic pressure and just change it up a bit, which with Max out will happen anyway. Go Dees!

Thanks Sue. What is the award, dinner for 2 with Caro at the Swan Hotel? Actually wouldnât mind having a chat with her about footy.

I do have a bottle of Robbie Flower Port, that is probably undrinkable now, after so many years adorning the bar.

Chocco Williams
Would have had to stay on for quite a while as it was a dinner.

Caro Apologise to Dees Fans
On Footy Classified Caro said it was poor of Pies fans to boo Oliver, for being named BOG, just like Dees fans booed Pendles for getting the same honour in 2019. Problem was it was an Anzac Day game and Pies played Essendon and it was the Bomber fans who booed. Waiting for the apology Caro!

The Road Back to Success -June 2022
Another thing that is happening is the fumbling. It could be confidence, who knows, but it is becoming a real game changer, as we give up the ball when we are running forward and on rebound we then get killed. Our turnover scores for and against are now diabolical.Turn this stat around and we win our last two games.

CHANGES: Rd 15 vs Brisbane
Next game is 11 days so he is out. Pity, thought he was going ok on debut.

NOT Taylor Walker
Well I will give you a couple of things we can do for starters. Stop playing down the left side at every opportunity and look for options in the corridor and on the right side. That will help with avoiding the pack and allow quick entry into our forward line and then hopefully loose forwards, or at worst one on one contests. Play Weid or JVR instead of M.Brown. Even Tomlinson forward might be an option. Play Bedford, to have more pace and therefore create more breakaway footy and increased scoring opportunities. Drum into the team to not kick to packs, especially on entry into the forward 50 and for forwards to lead and create space and then demand the ball. We are playing dumb footy and have been worked out by the opposition and to the coaches discredit, nothing has been done about it. Its not a major game plan change, but rather a bit of adjustment, which we seem totally resistant to do. For those who think I am jumping after losses, I was banging on about this for several weeks while we were winning.

POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Agree. This kick to the left to a pack, every single time, is now costing us big time. It is completely killing any quick forward entry to a one on one. Surely the Coaching panel can see that.
