Our kick out strategy
But if May kicks out to the left and it returns quickly, he is back there ready to do it again.

Cox is Freo CHB and I actually haven't given up on Jacko either.

CASEY: Rd 16 vs Geelong
Would they drop Toby for a NT game, when he actually did more than Kozzie/Spargo? I would rest Spargo for a week.

Maybe Dusty Springfields' "Wishin and Hopin" is more apt.

Lucy, if he wants Freo, they don't have the picks and no point naming blokes that just aren't in the picture. What do you think of my suggestion of Cox and Treacy, as the start of any deal. Cox is a 23 year old, 195cm SA key position defender/forward and Treacy a 19 year old 195cm Victorian key forward who is listed as tough, strong and with great hands. They have a local in Amiss coming through who with the current key forwards are enough for them. Then steak knives of picks, or a ruckman, or maybe even getting Lobb, who would fill needs for us immediately. Getting Cox and with Turner, it allows Petty to maybe move forward or other options and Cox would be there when May retires. What are your thoughts on that sort of deal, if Jacko nominates Freo?

Slight difference. I think Gus has indicated, though rather obliquely, that he is staying and no mention of homesickness. Also there was a hint that he might announce on his Podcast soon.

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
I think he would be fine if picked.

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
I didnβt know they had the same manager. I donβt think Gus would leave for a few dollars more. That would not be his motivation, nor the advice from his father. If Gus leaves and I donβt think he will, I would suspect a different reason.

If he is staying, but contract not finalised, he could easily say that. I find it unlikely that he doesnβt know what he wants to do by now. The usual result when you are hearing nothing at all by now, is that they have decided to leave, but donβt want to say, to avoid the fuss that will be caused, during the rest of the season. If he has decided to stay, I think he would have said it by now to stop the speculation. If you follow that logic, he is probably gone. BUT, then again.

So what do you think of Selwood?

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Geelong
Actually thought that was pretty disgusting and then Guthrie gave a belt to the back of the head, after he finished scratching the face. Surely that is reportable.

Our kick out strategy
No it didn't. Just because you win a game doesn't mean everything you do in it is correct, or the best method.

I can't stand this and it makes me question our coaching.

Would you look at Treacy and Cox as part of a deal, together with maybe picks. Treacy is a big, tough, Victorian 19 year old key forward and Cox a 23 year old SA key defender. Freo have other key forwards and Amiss a local to come. Cox could play forward or allow Petty to. They could be a good starting point of any deal.

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Geelong
Twice this year I recall a kick in to the corridor, where we grabbed the ball, played on and goaled. This of course has been eliminated, as not fitting into our inflexible gameday tactics.

IF he wants to go and nominates Freo, it is about wanting to play for them, not just homesickness and I would agree with you. Players when they sign the draft documents, agree to play anywhere, just like sportspeople everywhere. I am sure when we met him before the draft, he said he was happy to play in Victoria. If this is about truly wanting to go home, he should say either club, but it appears that is not the case. If he nominates Freo then we play hardball and I would start getting into the heads of some Victorian Freo Dockers we would be happy to have, as they simply won't have the picks. We could have got Cerra last year and cleared Jacko the next if he would have told us. Freo force Cerra, who wanted to play with us, to Carlton and now want our brightest young tall.

That might be about to lose itβs brightest young tall talent.
