If we really wanted him, the smart thing to do would have been to act like the Eagles do when they want to get a player. Issues. Lack of improvement. Go home factor, etc, etc.
  2. I like this kid and think he is a chance with another season under his belt.
  3. Is his name pronounced "tarj" or "tie"?

Congrats Jess and Max. What a huge year for Max.

You think that a Development Coach's job is nearly as demanding as the CEO of an AFL club?

I wonder, given he is another potential key forward and they have some young ruckmen, whether they will now use their early picks for immediate needs, rather than maybe a developing player, who might need several seasons before playing.

Giant coup: GWS lands axed Eagle - four years after he was snatched from its grasp.
  8. As Anthony Hudson said in a PF, with the Swans and Cats I think it was, " I see it but I don't believe it". It is some of the most powerful, perfect, team football I have ever seen and in a GF to boot. It just brings tears to the eyes of the long suffering Dees fans, well mine at least.
  9. Well actually that's not true. He used his hands to climb and push him forward and away from the contest. It was a free clearly, but WE WON THE FLAG.

Will it be within 57 years?

I still think Brander is ok and would be handy for us.
  12. Could be a handy Category B rookie.
  13. Maybe a Hibbo retirement and a Hore delisting.
  14. Hore and Declase unsigned. Could be another pick coming.
  15. Agree. IF we want him and he goes to another club, the hope is that it is an interstate one.
  16. I had it explained that slow play chip kick sides like the Cats, will have higher disposal efficiency , while our style of play leads to less disposal efficiency. What that means is that certain stats don’t affect winning as much as other ones.

And if he is p-ssed off with the Giants I am sure he will try his hardest next season.

I think it is being done to give a reference point, to allow a reasoned guess as to what actual pick might eventuate from it.

If I was the Giants I would be grabbing that. I don’t think Hill is that good. Very inconsistent and seen him jib a few contests. Not sure he has a great tank either. Maybe they are waiting for the last hour.

Agree. That's what I said. Cats nevertheless want more than just 22.

Pick 22 is not being shafted for a player you don't play.

This wouldn't have helped McCartney's attitude either. The Giants will receive Pick 11 and a 2018 third round selection from the Bombers, while Essendon receive Smith, Pick 24 and GWS' 2018 second round pick. Essendon's new draft selections will prove vital in securing the services of Jake Stringer and Adam Saad who have both nominated the Bombers as their preferred destination club.

Ash, hope you are well, long time no speak. As to the bit I quoted, who do you think is responsible for McCartney's attitude towards Dodoro and Essendon?
  24. Who would you have suggested we get instead and how would we have got that player, remembering that Dunstan is a FA? I will stick with my view that it is "great recruiting", to get an experienced midfielder, who is better than all of the mids we have outside of the GF 23, for nothing.
  25. You obviously missed the words after "better" which were "atm." I have no doubt Sparrow and JJ will be "better" than Dunstan at some point in the future.
