Welcome to Demonland: Andy Moniz-Wakefield
I presume he will now be ours as a Cat B rookie.

Tonight’s Draft - The Second Crack
Fair enough but it can be confusing. I thought if no one nominated Taj and Andy M-W we could take them as Rookies saving money and keeping a senior list spot.

Tonight’s Draft - The Second Crack
Think WC disagree. Would have seen a bit of him.

Tonight’s Draft - The Second Crack
But why do you give away a higher pick this year for a known lower pick next year?

Tonight’s Draft - The Second Crack
We could have taken Williams with the pick we traded, giving us a Hawkins type who can ruck a bit as well as key forward. Andy M-W looking likely rookie and If no one picks Taj he could then be another. Are we looking at a ruck forward type in maybe Caminitti, or however you spell his name? Interesting to see the plan.

Mac Andrew
I was wrong in believing he wouldn't be an early selection. I agree with your post and am stunned that of all the clubs, the Suns took him, a club that needs urgent and immediate success, to keep its star players and maintain membership and financial support, let alone to ease the pressure on the Coach.

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
I'd be more impressed with "we are looking for some membership types that can get emails to ALL of our members, to advise them of events and assist with ticketing etc." Today was a shambles of historic proportions.

Sam needs Choco to spend some time with him, instilling some confidence, showing him where to position himself when we have the ball and improving his one grab marking.

Don’t you have to take all NGA nominees if available?

The Crushing Burden of Being Pick 1
Disagree. Also the culture, talent and class of the current side would have made him a better and more damaging player. He was a great shot for goal and this team would find him more and give him more chances of scoring.

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
I would love to ask Goody what Burgess was saying to him during the 3rd quarter. It was more than just a comment, as he was talking to him for about a minute.

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
I have never seen such a reversal and then complete thrashing, of a team 19 points up half way through a 3rd quarter and let alone in a GF. The domination from that point by us was unbelievable. 16 goals to 1 in the last 28 minutes of actual playing time. I watch it over and over again and am still stunned. TBH, I could imagine it being done to us, with my MFCSS, but to win a flag that way, WOW just WOW! Thank you boys, you done us proud.

The other thing is the definition of “nailing “ a selection. You would have to create some sort of formulae that is able to assess what is expected of a selection at that pick and it would have to be more than just games played, even though that is probably the starting point.

No recruiter can nail every pick in every draft, as is it impossible. To nail every pick would mean that those players in a year or two, permanently replace other players in the team, meaning the argument could be that the replaced players were failures. If you took 5 new players for 4 years, you would have to completely replace the existing team within a few years. We know that doesn't happen. To be fully successful with every pick would mean that even fewer players would rack up 100-200 games, as you are always picking better players. To me the measure of a good recruiter is the quality of the team he puts together, of course aided by development, culture, fitness, luck with injuries etc and being able to have a batch of good players underneath the best 22, to provide depth. Obviously the last 6-8 players on the list are the ones you try and better.

Think we will in the future be adding Laurie to that list and maybe Deakyn Smith, Rosman and even Weid.

NAB AFL DRAFT COMBINE
Are we putting butter on Mac's hands, bandages on his knees, ice on his hamstrings and weights in his runners?

FLASHBACK: Bruce Goes Ballistic
Wasn’t the turf that did it he was driven into the ground. It was a pretty ordinary act by Brent Guerra, who got him late and IMO tried to injure him and did.

Well I am.

The Melbourne Cup
Well we disagree on that. Horses are born to run and have been ridden forever. They are the best looked after animals on the planet. Of course every now and again there is an injury, just as there is often in a paddock or field, when they are not racing. Of course though you are free not to support horse racing.

Mac Andrew
If we really wanted him, the smart thing to do would have been to act like the Eagles do when they want to get a player. Issues. Lack of improvement. Go home factor, etc, etc.

2021 Player Reviews: #34 Deakyn Smith
I like this kid and think he is a chance with another season under his belt.

Welcome to Demonland: Taj Woewodin
Is his name pronounced "tarj" or "tie"?

Congratulations Max
Congrats Jess and Max. What a huge year for Max.

Re sign Choco too
You think that a Development Coach's job is nearly as demanding as the CEO of an AFL club?
