AFL membership is now great value, with 9 games interstate or at Geelong. So probably restricted to 13 games at most. That is the most interstate games I can recall, plus the dump in Geelong.

No need to look at a fixture to know that. We are doomed to play there every year forever. We have avoided Kardinia Park once or twice in the last 30 years. Now that we have a much larger membership, the excuse for it is long gone.

Verrall is now listed at 200 cms tall. Assuming Farris-White is not stooping, either Verrall has grown, or Farris-White is not 206 cms. There doesn't seem to be 6 cms difference in their heights. Also Verrall seems more than 4cms taller than Adams, so hopefully Verrall has grown. F-W and V are big boys. With those 2 and Scahche at 201 cms, we seem pretty ok in the ruck after Max and BG. Whatever, we have certainly added some height to the list this year.

Is his dad 199 cms? Did he play footy at a high level?

Looking at their ins and outs, that is not a given. Lobb is a big loss, as is Mundy and Acres had his best season in 2022 as did Logue. Tucker was used in 14 games also. It will be very interesting to see how they go in 2023.

Maybe Saints wanted to see him training. He will probably be added as supplemental player.

The great comment from JT was that we don’t expect the draftees to play early, but rather to just develop their games. That is just so different to the old Melbourne, where we would say that hopefully draftees would play some games next year.

Couldn’t agree more. Draft badly and win the flag and suddenly the bad draft was a brilliant one. Evaluating a draft is just ridiculous and even Shifter Sheahan says every player drafted is great and a potential star. Really?
