Kate Roffey Set to Become President of the MFC
bandicoot replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Isn’t it strange that the new club president hasn’t addressed the supporter base? -
Which podcast is this?
-
I think being within the mcg precinct would be ideal however it shouldn’t be the deal breaker. If a complex is built within metro melbourne that ticks all the other boxes then it should be seriously considered.

Geelong aren’t a strong outfit. Especially without dangerfield. Dees will win by 5 goals
-
But 11 players played that season.. half the team that’s playing today
-
Agree... you would like to see a handful more players at 150+ games. Gawn, trac, Salem, brayshaw, lever and viney are the next bunch. get them to 150 and playing together and we will be formidable
-
Jones actually pushes the average up quite significantly... if he doesn’t play the average drops 10 games
-
yes. But to expect greatness from a team that is under that threshold is misguided
-
My point is that the last time this has happened was 15 years ago in 2006.
-
Melk and hibbo will eventually find their place in the team. Sooner rather than later. They are not the last piece to the puzzle but they will be integral to the season
-
The last 20 years has seen a common thread amongst all premiers. Average age 26/27 average games 125 - 150 0-50 games - 3 players 0 - 100 games - 7 players 150+ games - 10 players As basic as this is, age and experience matter. bigger bodies, seasoned professionals and a continuaty amongst the core playing group. dees for the saints games average age 25 average games 95 0-5 games - 6 0 - 100 games 12 Over 150 games - 4 The formula for the dees this year is a little short in most categories however with brown, weid, melk and hibbo back the averages start looking a lot better. next week dees are likely to field the most experienced team in the last 15 years. It seems that finally the rebuild is coming to an end and the window has swung right open.
-
You don’t think dees were undermanned??? Not having weid and brown is as bog of a lose that you can have. You do hole forward structures are compromised.
-
You would think that brayshaw, melk and Salem will get another run this weekend and will be good to go round 1. May will also be good after almost 2 weeks off... this will only leave viney, brown and weid as major puts for round 1... not a terrible result. Let’s hope the interrupted pre season doesn’t cause major issues
-
Darcy is also out
-
3 below average years under goodwin. why would anyone think this will change?
-
The kid has some serious talent.. needs a couple of pre season under his belt and has all the potential.
-
Like the saints, dogs aren’t going to drop this game. There is only one club in the league that is capable of losing the last game and. It make the finals. dees are a pathetic football club.
-
I drive a jag fpace and it’s a fantastic car.... powerful and luxurious ride. Nothing but praise.
-
I think the only likely result will be for GWS to win and Dees to beat Essendon. Cant see Collingwood losing to Suns or Dogs losing to Freo. Saints would be really stiff to miss out. Have played better than Dees all year.
-
The best chance dees have is for the saints to lose and dees to win big. there are some systemic issues with the club that will need to be addressed at seasons end regardless of the result.
-
This typifies goodwins lack of coaching skill. 4 years into a role and still doesn’t have a plan for kick outs..
-
Probability of this very low... which pretty much relies on dogs to lose. Ridiculous that dees left themselves in this position. couldn’t muster up enough will to beat the 16th and 12th placed sides. goodwins lack of effective game style is taxing on the players and results in them having lapses. They still don’t have a kick out strategy unless it revolves around kicking it to max. No wonder he is the walking wounded.
-
Doesn’t seem that there is much fan fare for May getting AA... massive result considering making finals is still a long shot. Trac has also cemented his spot. 2 x AA selections and we still might not make the finals? gawn and oliver not far off. A good coach would have had us at top 4...
-
Odds aren’t up yet on Sportsbet but either saints or dogs losing are both long shots. Typical ‘brand’ Melbourne will see us finishing 9th.
