Maynard must get at least four weeks
bandicoot replied to leave it to deever's topic in Melbourne Demons
How anyone can say this is a football act is beyond me. You mean to tell me you can attempt to smother, shirt front the kicker, knock them out and get off? how come this doesn’t happen every weekend then? -

It’s not a ‘football act’ when there is clearly another option. He will get done for 3 weeks. Grub -

How can you see him avoiding the ban when you just said he had another option? -

This is damning vision. He wanted to make sure brayshaw got hurt. What an absolute thug -

Brace for what impact??? Brayshaw was defenceless. Maynard had the option of not rotating his body and simply land. -
He wont get suspended for the bump on brayshaw. You have NFI. The guy jumped in the air, then turned his body and bump a defenceless Bradshaw. Will be lucky to only get 3 weeks

There are 2 storm fronts coming. Tonight will be wet for parts

There are 2 storm fronts coming.. it will be wet

Will be difficult to do with a greasy ball

Same… I’m checking the weather up and demonland every 10mins

Im not sure if wind effects the mcg too much as the stands shelter most of it

Originally I was dreading the rain considering our poor performance when it’s been wet. I then realised that Collingwood might actually be worse off if it’s pouring. Now I’ll be disappointed if it’s not raining. I think I’m slowly going insane
-
Watch the replay.:: no rain of any significance
-
They haven’t played a game in the rain this year. Their game against port was slightly wet but not for 4 quarters.
-
Did it rain in the Richmond game?
-
I’ll take anything I can get to calm my nerves

This is the most bizarre stat… collingwood haven’t played in the rain in any of their 23 games this year. Melbourne have played 6 games in the wet. How can a side go all year and avoid the rain? in any case, Thursday night might be the first time all year collingwood have played with a greasy football.
-
Good analysis on Collingwood. They have also been used to playing cox and Cameron and this will hurt them. Your analysis has somewhat calmed my pre game anxiousness
-
Agree.. this is one big advantage to us. Don’t think you can play cox and Cameron in the same side when wet. Even though gawns marking will be dampened his total ground work rate will be noticeable

We are not a stoppage and contest team… we are a turnover team. That’s how we win. The rain makes it more difficult to win a turnover especially when your 2 biggest weapons in may and lever are ineffective. Add to that that we are a poor disposal team even in the dry and you have an answer to why we lose games in the wet.
-
You forgot the most important weakness.. an inability to play in the wet
-
The facts suggest otherwise. We have lost nearly every game this year in the rain. May and lever become useless and our poor disposals become amplified. Those are the facts
-
This forecast is disastrous.. our whole game fab falls apart in the wet
-
This is a major concern. Dees have pretty much lost every game this season when raining. Our back line pillars go to mush. I’m hoping that the meteorologists are off considering it’s still another few days away
-
Agree. Cox and Cameron are going to be a handful. Cameron is 204cm and JVR is a first year player at 193cm. Asking him to be a key forward and ruck might be too much:
