Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
And pick up a player that doesn’t want to join your club and on top of that suddenly come up with $800k on a maxed out salary cap. No chance

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
There is talk that Melbourne are considering giving up 1st pick for 2017 and 2018. If we agree to Adelaide’s demands then it shows that our recruiting department have no idea. Grow some balls, stick by your original plan and make Adelaide sweat that lever will walk away for nothing. As it stands at the moment lever isn’t even in your top ten best players... only a top 10 player in the whole league is worth 2 first picks

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Adelaide are in no position to negotiate. Either take what Melbourne gives you or the kid walks into the draft and Melbourne get him for free. Trelor was worth 2 first rounders. Lever is no where near trelor. Giving Crows 1st and 2nd round picks imo is still overs.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
I'm glad you aren't negotiating for the dees. wont take more than pick 10 and swap of 2nd round picks

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Pick 10 will do the deal for lever. No way will Melbourne give up watts or Salem as well.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Pick 10 for lever is plenty. At worst pick 10 and swap of 2nd round picks will suffice. No way will dees throw in either watts and Salem + pick 10

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Pick 10 will suffice in the lever deal. Stop wasting time trying to think what additional players we will need to throw in.

Jarred rivers was also a great intercept mark... overrated

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Dees aren't going to give up overs for this kid. Tom Mitchell was traded for pick 14, omeara pick 10 and 2018 second round, hibberd pick 29, Lachie Henderson future first round pick, Prestia pick 6. lever isn't better than any of the above. melbournes first round pick this year should do the deal and at worst 2nd round next year. im glad some of the posters here are not deciding the future of the club.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Lever has had 1 good year. Future AA and captain are all unknowns. No club has ever offered more than a 1st round and late pick for a player like lever.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
2 first rounds??? You have to be joking. He has only had 1 good year and plays as a 3rd tall back. Gary Albett went on 2 first rounds. Worth a pick in top 10 and a late 40's pick.

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
Haven't won 4 in a row since 2006.

Time to show Oscar some respect!
All the respect to drop him next week for Gawn...

The youngest most inexperienced side
Round 3: average age - 23 years 10 months average games - 67 With Brisbane the youngest and most inexperienced side for round 3. inconsistency will likely be the theme this year

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
@praha can we add 'win round 2'. Haven't won in 10 years. also, can we add the ultimate goal... 'win premiership'?
-
In Jason Taylor we trust!
If those players entered the Dees during the Neeld or Bailey eras then they wouldn't have succeeded. I believe to a large extent tht structures and player development areas are more important than who you pick.

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
Can we also put on this 'winning premiership' if we are going to have a goal we might as well have the ultimate one

The youngest most inexperienced side
Melksham might have been on the list but never played a game. The youngest side reflects who plays that week, of which Melbourne was the youngest side for 14 rounds. Adding 260 games, 114 games and 90 games will have a difference to the average. The last game of the year vs Geelong our average games was 69 games. I presume this will bump up to 80 with these inclusions.

The youngest most inexperienced side
This round: Average games played - 61 Average age - 23yo Again, youngest most inexperienced side of the round. Even GC went out with a more mature side. Any suprise that our season is such a rollercoaster? We have fielded the youngest most inexperienced side for 15 rounds this year

The youngest most inexperienced side
We were also substantially smaller. We gave up on average 4kg to them. Ussuly weight and height are standard throughout the league.
-
The youngest most inexperienced side
We wil no doubt have a rollercoaster year with 14 players under 50 games... Will be improved slightly with Jetta, trenners, Tyson and pedo coming back in.

The youngest most inexperienced side

The youngest most inexperienced side
It's not really a record. Just a record in the comp this year. I haven't gone back to last year but I don't think we are far off.
-
The youngest most inexperienced side
Didn't think we could go any younger but we did. Record youngest side this weekend. 23yo 2 months. 57 games average. 14 players under 50 games. I think GC and GWS first games had a more experienced side. Might be the youngest side that we will field for the next 10 years. We are building something special here.
