Major concerns regarding our game style and MCG. Our high contested possession game plan works at etihad because it’s a smaller ground and less reliant on good kicking. As the grounds get bigger, not only do you need to be good at contested possession but also a good kicking game which we are woefull at. Clarkson and his protege hardwick have perfected this. Goodwin needs to start implementing a better kicking game for us to improve.

Against tigers: 80 games, 24.5 age, 10 players under 50 and 3 over 150. premiership sides: Tigers 2017: 104 games, 25 age, 4 under 50, 8 over 150 crows R/U: 109 games, 26 years, 1 under 50, 7 over 150 The recipe to success is average over 100 games, 26 years, 3/4 of the team over 100 games. we had 6 players on the weekend over 100 games. Almost 10 short of what we need.

Im also concerned about the game style the coaches have adopted. It’s very much dependent on us winning the clearances and manic pressure. If this doesn’t happen we get caught out. When we are on, we are on fire. If there is a lapse then we let a run of goals happen. there needs to be a fall back plan when we have a lapse of pressure. hawks built a dynasty by playing keepings off by foot. This allows them to take the foot off the pedal without it costing them on the scoreboard. Our manic pressure football is unsustainable as it can’t be kept up 100% of the time. We need to start implementing hawthorns tempo style keepings off asap otherwise we will continue having inconsistent seasons.

You can’t compare sports wagering and the pokies. The pokies are essentially programmed that you can’t beat the house. Sports wagering is a skill dependent on an ability to pick winners. The house just takes a % of the spread.

Adelaide are in no position to negotiate. Either take what Melbourne gives you or the kid walks into the draft and Melbourne get him for free. Trelor was worth 2 first rounders. Lever is no where near trelor. Giving Crows 1st and 2nd round picks imo is still overs.
