These people.... exasperating.

The pathological attacks on Goodwin are over the top. Oscar, well done on one half of footy, you had a couple of good halves of footy at the Dees, where ironically Goody was accused of playing favourites with you and gifting you games. Goodwin and the entire coaching staff backed Oscar in and developed him into the player he is today, doing 1 preseason at another club isn’t magic. Get a grip some of you flogs.

Yes they made the call to stick with the same format as last year and name the teams the day before each game, it’s rubbish!

Would love to see the club support him more and have Williams, Yze do more of them moving forward.

Wowwee I know we’re wanting success but let’s get into real season mode before slagging off the coach for his body language and ability to pronounce words with “r”s in them from a press call before rnd 1. We [censored] and moan if he is rar rar and poo poo if he is passive ffs.

The main thing I took out of that interview was his thankfulness to be given another chance in the AFL, he seemed genuinely thankful and it seems to reflect in his passion for the job.

I know we all want to go and we’re all very special but as others have said I expect the footy clubs member depts have been cut back due to covid. I see it as a massive positive that the lines are busy, please try and be gentle with them/the club, it’s tough times still. Having worked in call centres many monks ago it is a thankless task for not much money. Stick fat and keep trying, it’s not personal. ps the booking system run by those money grubbing merchants is a different story, it is so hard to work out/less than intuitive.

Output vs outcomes are two vastly different things. Our outcomes need to improve.

It’s not just for the year, it’s “forever” from my take from Pert/Bartlett interviews over the last year. Casey is the MCG sized training ground and any city ground is Docklands sized ground. Some players will be fine with it and others not, just like players who don’t want to travel to Dingley or Tullamarine or far western Sydney. Also the club has been pretty clear they’ve looked at all options within the inner Melb precinct via working groups, it’s not like they’ve missed an oval or 6 to explore...

This is where we all just need to be more cautious with our approach to comments about everyone, we just don’t know what’s happening behind the facade.

He was what selection in his draft year and he ave 10 touches a game in his first year? Dc come on buddy, a choice between Daw and an 18yr old with an unfortunate injury history to combat a short term (fingers crossed) depth problem seems pretty straight fwd to me.

But he’s not “ready right now”, at least Daw has the chance to potentially be ready for the early rounds. I don’t know if any 18yr old rucks who have been able to make an impression at AFL level.

I assume getting his technical stuff going like tap work and system on where to tap followed by trying to get some fitness into him without blowing him up in the main group. He is the longest of long shots for mine, but good luck to him.
