Ps I mean the whole camp scenario will lead to changes in player welfare etc not 1 individuals experience.

This will be catalyst for the AFLPA to push for NFL type offseason work out schedules. Only x amount of training sessions per offseason, only x amount of contact sessions etc.

It’s speed of ball movement, if we can get the ball out of the congestion with that 1 extra handball or kick to a player in space were away. The Pies shut that down and closed us in, if we can get that 1 extra things look a little different for us, unfortunately this year we have yet to break that code.

That’s the journey the players and coaches are on, how do we break those shackles when teams bring the pressure like the Pies, Tigs and Hawks brought to bear. We haven’t cracked the code yet but on the weekend, for the first 3 qtrs I felt like we were close to doing so. More lessons learnt and work to be done, let’s hope they apply themselves to the task.

On the train in from Woody in what might be my last H & A game for the season. The goodly wife is 8.5 months pregnant. Catching up with a mate I haven’t seen in about 4 years who has moved back home from Perth... to bad he is a Pies fan and yes his teeth are an issue.

Ugly first qtr, no atmosphere for a port home game. Rance ffs get your hand of his old mate commentary team. Port looks ave at best.

DJ in relation to signage around the ground, the clubs get a % of eyeball time. The AFL/AFL sponsors get the rest, maybe with the ground having some. That is one of the “perks” for sponsors to partner with AFL clubs is getting share of eyeballs at ground but mainly on TV.

Confidence is an amazing thing.

Most footy clubs have an approx 15% membership churn as well.

Well this is news... when did this great bit of admin happen?

He was very proppy throughout the second half.

First time in years over watched footy programs and gesus.... Robbo, well he’s what you expect. He’s trotted out the Eagles free kick count from the last 3 home games and “they will investigate”.. good on you Robbo, fans have been talking about it for years. On the Couch talking about draft or AFL lead assistance for clubs not making finals for a period of time... Healy (and his terrible comb over) then goes on to highlight Carlton, Saints, Sun, Freo and Lions... kids going through there primary schools and not seeing success and clubs losing generations of fans... he wasn’t out there banging our drum.
