It’s more like a log than a raft but I’ll happily take that log if we’re drowning in the seas of misfortune. -

Who cares how old the person was making racist comments, everyone needs to be called out on it. To say she was a little girl and this people booed Goodes is trying to change the angle of the issue and deflect the racism and turn a blind eye and put drag him down again. What a ridiculous argument. -
If true now the hard work really begins, going to be hard to get a game.

Feet can be fixed - AVD, Viney etc Knees can fixed - Gawn, Tracc etc Shoulders - Oliver etc Repeated brain injuries are not something that has been solved as yet.

Here is hoping loges or it’s a hodgepodge of a fwd line early doors.

Uhm wasn’t it more of case of him being left on the nature strip with a “free to good home” sign around his neck and no one stopped to pick him up? At this point that is a positive but the cupboard is pretty bare until BBB gets back from his knee issue.

Catch up, I’m at the wake of our season 2021, sorry celebration of life. It’s pretty dead in here. From choco(lates) to B(BB)oiled lollies to Tmac and Brown leading the forward line, ouch. It’s great to have better “connection” between the mids and fwds but if you’ve down to your 3rd rate fwds it’s going to make things very tough.

Love how strong Lamb was on going tall. Ko’D sounded keen on Carroll and Lamb just over rides it with “good chat fella but step away from the computer thanks, we’ve got this” lol.

I think this is the key in all of this, the AFL and clubs have failed in relation to minorities, this is everyone's chance to have a good hard look into how we can be better and look to uplift everybody. -
I don’t care in what capacity it is but from the outside I think he is some who would be very beneficial to keep in the club, whether that is in the “soft cap” or footy dept or outside of it he just seems to show leadership. Nev is one of my fav Dees players.

How many pies did you buy then? Kidding I think this is a fair outcome, commercially he has lead that club to the promised land, flags and huge membership numbers. He just can’t say sorry in the moment when it is really needed and noticed. He’s shot himself in the foot too many times. Best of luck, I hear ch10 needs a new CEO. -
Alastair Clarkson says Jon Patton has needed time away to reflect after ‘quite immense’ public scrutiny A fair bit to unpack in this one but: Pretty fair that there is “”immense” public pressure” in relation to these allegations. The League is leading the investigation, and I assume police? I hope the club is also checking on and working with alleged victims in relation to there wellbeing. This whole comment feels is an absolute train wreck to me: “These are young men that, in a lot of cases because of AFL footy, are sheltered from the real world in terms of what they have to endure,” Clarkson told SEN Breakfast. “So sometimes they’re not equipped with the coping strategies – and that’s been the case with ‘Pats’, who’s found himself on the front page of the paper. “The investigation will determine whether that’s right or wrong, but the scrutiny that some of these footballers are under is quite immense. He’s found himself in a space where he needs some time away to reflect. “You’ve just got to slow down and take a breath. I’m not usually too good at this, but in crises like these, it’s probably one of my strengths to slow down, take a breath, absorb all the information that’s coming our way, let the authorities make the decision. “In ‘Hodgey’s’ case, it was the law. We didn’t need to impose any other penalties. There was a law that imposed the penalty in terms of him breaking the law and then there was the public scrutiny – and in a lot of instances, I think that’s enough punishment for anyone … it’s the public scrutiny that gets these guys more than anything else.” Clarkson said the allegations against Patton were “murky territory” for those investigating. “It’ll be a really interesting test case for what is the law around this sort of stuff,” he said. “That‘s why there’s an investigation in place and that’s why we’re at the mercy of that investigation, No. 1 to keep it private and confidential until the outcome of that is determined, but secondly to actually establish what are the standards in this sport of space. “I know that I‘ve got my own personal standards, but I don’t know what my personal standards are in terms of the social media type of platform because it’s just so different.”

Review Finds Collingwood Guilty of Systemic Racism

Still happens today, a couple of years ago I noticed in European “football” stadiums they have moveable walkways for players and officials. As in when they enter or exit the tunnel they pull out a long cascading tunnel so they can’t be spit on or have objects thrown at them. -
