  1. Time to put this debacle out of its misery. I really stuffed up with the timing of this, didn't I? My team all share a first name with a cartoon character, as shown below. B: Brian Griffin Rod Flanders George Jetson H/B: (Sideshow) Bob Terwilliger Tom Cat Troy McClure C: Stan Marsh (Reverend) Tim Lovejoy Patrick Star H/F: Charlie Brown (Mayor) Joe Quimby Archie Andrews F: (Groundskeeper) Willie MacDougal Fred Flintstone Bobby Hill R: Carl Carlson (Doctor) Nick Riviera Todd Flanders I/C: Ned Flanders Eric Cartman Peter Griffin Chris Griffin SUB: (Professor) John Frink COACH: Stewie Griffin
  2. Could 2025 be a good year for the Rosas?
  3. I really expected a more animated conversation, but I'm fresh out of clues. Answer to be revealed later this arvo for anybody with a modicum of interest.
  4. Nhill has the Zero Inn Motel.
  5. I thought by now that other matters may have quietened down and you'd be looking for a diversion. * voiceover* But they hadn't quietened down. There was debate raging on several fronts. Any further responses would be unreal. You might say the same about the answer. Who will be in the frame for second and third place?
  6. I have to bail out for tonight, but will leave you with another clue. There are more than one set of father/sons in the solution. Maybe that might help to draw some inspiration.
  7. I thought we may have had more players. It's not like there's anything else to distract us right now. My bad. I probably need to be locked up in a cell (or something like that).
  8. We have a winner! Congratulations are in order for @mo64 who has solved the mystery and, in doing so, given his personal brand an immeasurable boost.
  9. There have been a couple of nibbles, but the bait is still on the hook. The team needs a coach and Stuart Dew has been duly appointed. Onya Stewie!
  10. Well, here we are again. Melbourne's season is over, there's no footy at all this week and the Demonland boards are deathly quiet as there are clearly no football issues worth discussing at the moment (unless I've missed something). It's that time when gardens get attention, odd jobs are caught up on, and we re-establish contact with our family. I spoke to mine only last night and they seem nice, although I was somewhat surprised to learn that my wife no longer works at Brashs. When things are so boring, the only real option is to fill in all that spare time with another brainteaser. Today's team is a mix of past and present players, including six former Demons, that looks quite strong on paper. What common factor unites the players in today's team? Answers in a PM only s'il vous plait. ========================================================================= B: Brian Lake Rod Carter George Hewitt H/B: Bob Murphy Tom Stewart Troy Longmuir C: Stan Alves Tim Watson Patrick Dangerfield H/F: Charlie Cameron Joe Daniher Archie Perkins F: Willie Rioli Fred Fanning Bobby Hill R: Carl Ditterich Nick Daicos Todd Viney I/C: Ned Moyle Eric Hipwood Peter Wright Chris Connolly SUB: John Noble
  11. Posing with Matthew Nicks' sister too, which is a clear hint that he's off to Adelaide next year.
  12. I think that's where this thread belongs, too. Same with the Harvey Langford thread.
  13. I still have PKTSD. It's also a very big and extremely loud NO to Lynch.
  14. Which team would you LIKE to see win the flag this year? This is not necessarily the team you THINK will win it. I voted for GWS. Go the Oranges! Your vote is secret, but anybody who selects Geelong will be hunted down then tarred and feathered.
  15. KFW is a Category B rookie, which Yze would not be eligible for. I don't know if that would have any bearing on us listing Yze as a rookie, however. I hope we can.
  16. He could have his own song after every goal he kicks! (Younger readers would be more familiar with Ronnie's daughter Lauren Burns, who won Australia's first Gold Medal in taekwondo at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.)
  17. I don't get the love for Peter Wright. Gold Coast let him go because of his uncompetitive nature and I believe that Essendon will do the same. Both clubs ended up dropping him to their reserves team for long periods which is telling. We've seen this movie before with Sam Weideman and Josh Schache.
  18. A draw would suffice. They'd go ahead of Carlton on percentage. edit: Sorry @mauriesy, you were explaining how Carlton could make the eight.
  19. If Carlton lose, we also want Power to lose so that Freo takes the last spot in the eight (and thus denying Carlton a final). Go Saints. Go Freo.
  20. Maybe so, but that wasn't the question.
  21. The existing Kozzy thread not good enough for yas?
  22. It's still pick 5 of available talent as those two aren't up for grabs for any other clubs.
  23. Gold Coast have won by enough to go above us on the ladder. If the Saints win tomorrow, we'll end up in 14th spot = pick 5. If not, it's 13th and pick 6.
