Miles Bergman from Port is this week's nomination. Bowey's turn will come. -
You can add Tom Rockliff (Port), Stephen Hill (Freo), Levi Greenwood and Chris Mayne (Pies), Lin Jong (Dogs), Daniel Venables (Eagles), Dylan Roberton (Saints), Tyson Stengle (Crows) plus Jon Patton and Tom Scully (Hawks).

We have no way of knowing who each coach voted for AFAIK. Maybe Goody gave NicNat the vote?
-
Michael Lynch's votes in The Age. Big Benny played well, but no way was he the best player out there Petracca not mentioned, but received five votes from both Goodwin and Simpson in the Coaches' Award. This is further evidence that it's purely subjective and we all see things differently. VOTES Ben Brown (Melbourne) 8 Tim Kelly (West Coast) 7 James Harmes (Melbourne) 7 Alex Neal-Bullen (Melbourne) 7 Jake Bowey (Melbourne) 6

Yes, we can't play in the dark, but what is your view regarding lightning?

Perception is everything as league launches bold strategy to save season 10 August 2021 In a first for Australia’s sacred game, which is in optimum health at the moment, the AFL has unleashed a groundbreaking announcement which will see as many as 40 matches from the 2021 season replayed across October and November. The league is dissatisfied with the lack of perfection achieved in many matches this year, and has produced a shock new concept in an attempt to resolve it. ‘We have meticulously set about identifying the matches throughout the year that just haven’t met our optical standards, and simply cannot allow these to stand,’ a league representative stated today. It is believed the chosen matches contained problems such as players running inside the Vodafone protected zone, tackling of a standard deemed too fierce for this competition, fans barracking too loudly during play and LED advertising lining the ground deemed not bright enough. ‘Going forward, we would prefer a system whereby players ask permission of the ball carrier before applying a tackle.’ In addition, administrators expressed concerns over the tunes between goals at matches, deeming the volume far too low on numerous occasions, having also floated the possibility of music during general play in 2022. ‘The visual appeal has just been disappointing far too often. Unless our matches capture the utopian, flawless image of how we want football to look, we aren’t interested.’ The league also felt the scoring, and number of television commercials as a result, was insufficient in many cases. Further to this, umpire instructions to ‘STAND’ were simply not loud enough. Television coverage from next season is expected to change dramatically, with all crowd, commentary and background noises muted, ensuring that umpire instructions will be the only audible sound. The league is determined to prioritise score reviews going forward too, as many of the proposed replays contained below the strict minimum of 27 reviews per match. ‘The introduction has been seamless - fans just don’t get it - the process is rapid, always correct and overall, a pleasant experience,’ the spokesperson claimed. Adding to frustrations, the executive felt that ruckmen were delayed in making their nominations, and the whistleblowers far too rushed in recommencing play. ‘Ideally, umpires should be allowing at least 30-40 minutes before a ball up.’ The repeated matches have been deliberately established during the off-season, to hijack the fortunes of all other sports, in a bid to re-write the underwhelming content of season 2021. ‘It was a really difficult decision, but we simply have to rectify these games to preserve the optics and reputation of the competition, no matter the amount of manipulation required.’ The league refused to comment further but did not rule out the prospect of ongoing replays into 2022, if perfection is not achieved. More to come.

Things are getting serious up in Northern NSW. Lockdown was announced in Byron Bay only 30 minutes ago and already stores have sold out of healing crystals.

Alas, he is not on our list. I doubt Yze would be spending his time working with Casey players.

Karl Marx is remembered but his sister Onya is not, despite the fact she invented the starting pistol. -

Lamb got the chop for fitness reasons. He couldn't see out the forequarters. -

We got Bell at pick 14 and then drafted Nick "426" Smith with pick 15. Neither worked out for various reasons, although Bell showed promising signs early on before the concussions took their inevitable toll. -
There is a third possibility. Maybe it was our choice to fly out after the game.
-
We were involved in such a scenario way back in 1990 when we beat Hawthorn in the last game of the H & A season then backed up the following week and knocked them off in the Elimination Final.
-
He'd have to go through the draft which means he'd have no say as to which club selects him. The only advantage Carlton might have is that they're likely to have a top ten draft pick this year.

I find it encouraging that the vast majority of posters on this site and people in general have called out Walker's comment for the vile racism that it demonstrates. Notwithstanding a minority of Neanderthal outliers, it seems that the message is finally getting through. It's not that long ago that people making a stand against such behaviour would be labelled "woke" or "virtue signalling", as if caring about others and supporting social justice were bad things deserving of ridicule and criticism. -
That would be a stinker of a situation.

Godwin's Law! /thread edit: In case posters are puzzled by this comment, the image I was responding to has rightfully been deleted.

Has this been officially announced Billy, or is it just your prediction? edit: It's official. Is anybody surprised?
-
Agreed, bingers. If you have the opportunity to get vaccinated and don't take it up, you'd have to have rocks in your head.

Pretty sure it was during a game in which he was playing at either the 1/4 or 3/4 time huddle.
