  1. I love this! Many of our youngsters are developing beautifully under Choco’s unique style and guidance, and we have another group of high-end youngsters joining our Club in a couple of months. Well done Choco and the Melbourne Footy Club!
  2. Adelaide were decent, we were just better for slightly longer. Another game where guts, grit, determination and a ‘never say die’ attitude got us over the line. These are outstanding qualities to take into the finals, but gee, there remains plenty to work on before September. The dream lives on!
  3. 6. Viney - a Colossuses again, especially when the heat was on. 5. Gawn - led from the front, both in the ruck, and around the ground. 4. Pickett - back to his ‘electrifying’ best. 3. Brayshaw - at his best in the contest, and he won most of them. 2. Chandler - obviously the correct call by our MC. 1. Rivers - continuing his run of strong form.
  4. Heading into the pointy end of the season with belief, confidence and momentum is vital. Our outstanding ‘come from behind’ win against the Lions last weekend was a great starting point, and I’m hoping that we continue building from today. Winning each quarter, with a 6+ goal final margin will do that. Go Dees! It’s time to get on a roll!
  5. IIRC, he went off late in the last game with what appeared to be a hammy. It was later ‘diagnosed’ as a severe cramp, and nothing to be concerned about. Maybe it was something to be concerned about.
  6. Another great pod folks. Informative and insightful. Thank you!
  7. Love the Pods guys. Keep up the great work! Simple question from me: Chandler or Spargo? I understand Spargo’s role, but he hasn’t delivered to his normal standard for a while now. Chandler was out of form before he was omitted, but has reportedly done well for Casey over the last couple of weeks. Is it time for a change?
  8. I thought it was our seniors who really stood stood up and really stood out. Hence my votes: 6. Gawn 5. Petracca 4. Viney 3. Melksham 2. Brayshaw 1. Hunter ………. but gee, some of our kids were strong contributors when they were needed: McVee, Rivers, Sparrow, Bowey, JJ We are building!
  9. Who said that Collingwood is the only team that have the willpower to will themselves over the line when their backs are against the wall? I have no doubt that we turned an important corner tonight!
  10. …….. and not prostrate problems, I presume!
  11. I love our ‘never say die’ Demons. What a magnificent exhibition of character, guts and determination. I feel so proud of our boys! Max and Tracc sensational all night! Every other player had great moments. Jees this Cognac is good!
  12. Back at the ‘Home of Football’. Our time starts now! Dees by 4 or 5 goals.
  13. I really like the selected team, and I’m really confident that we w’ll beat Brisbane. We are working nicely towards September!
  14. I couldn’t listen to this week’s Pod live, because of no remote area internet connectivity. I listened intently yesterday, on my drive back to the ‘real world’. Another absorbing show guys. It made the long drive home a ‘breeze’. Thank you.
  15. Four points, solid goal kicking and standing up to a four quarter challenge from the Saints, provide a solid stepping off point for the next part of the season. Still heaps to work on, and lots of players to find some form, but I’ll sleep better tonight.
  16. 6. May 5. Petracca 4. Salem 3. Sparrow 2. Viney 1. Hunter Couldn’t quite squeeze McVee, Lever & Melksham in for a vote.
  17. I have an (unusual for me) uneasiness in my gut about this game. Sad to say, it’s the same feeling I had last week, and it doesn’t bode well …….………… but we couldn’t fluff an other opportunity to consolidate our rightful position in the top 4, could we? Nup. We are too good to let that happen. Last week was an aberration, surely! Dees by 3 points, but I’m buggered if I know where our goals are going to come from.
  18. I’m always ‘glass half full’ with our beloved Dees, but gee, I’m confused / perplexed by this week’s team selection. I’m shaking my head in disbelief, but simultaneously acknowledging that our MC know far more about these things than I do. Gee, but, wow!
  19. Well I love it! Taj has done some hard yards, and has earned the rewards. Maybe another Judd McVee? I love it again, and again!
  20. Thanks Andy for letting us know. Looking forward to the Pod Panel dissecting our win over the Saints next weekend. At least we won’t be able to blame the wet weather! Enjoy the travels. Well earned!
  21. 6. Viney (outstanding again!) 5. May 4. Brayshaw 3. Bowey 2. Petracca 1. Sparrow Rivers, McVee; Salem, ANB, Hunter and Lever can also hold their heads up to an degree. Others not so much, and a few should hang their heads tonight.
  22. Just win Dees! My optimism has waned following the Geelong capitulation, and I’m feeling distinctly uneasy about this.
  23. Another great pod guys: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I deliberately stayed away from most of the ‘gloom & doom’ in post match thread following the Geelong game, and I’m definitely buoyed by the optimism expressed by all three of you in relation to our meeting with GWS next weekend. Absolutely the therapy I needed. Huge thanks!
  24. Thanks for another great report Kev. In Richo’s injury report today, he said that Clarrie is expected to miss another 1 to 2 weeks, because of a combination of his recent scans, and him not meeting certain Club “markers” (which presumably relate to fitness). Let’s hope it’s more about his fitness levels, and less about what the scans are saying.
