  1. Very evenly matched with tough assignments all across the ground, and I’m struggling to find a genuine reason why either side should win. Clutching at straws, but my red and blue heart tells me that our home ground advantage will get us over the line by 7 points.
  2. It’s with great sadness that I learn of Johnny’s passing. For those of us who are old enough, and were lucky enough to see Johnny play, we will never forget the key part he played the ‘golden era’ of our great Club. A childhood hero of mine, who is no longer with us, but whose memory will live forever in my red and blue heart, and in the history of the Melbourne Football Club. Vale Johnny. RIP.
  3. Very interesting and enjoyable listening as always guys. Love your work! Thanks.
  4. We responded in the best way possible. Great team effort, with most contributing! My votes: 6. Gawn - supreme and undeniable in every sense. Ruck and leadership masterclass! 5. Tomlinson - welcome back Tommo. Best game since 2021. Can’t help but love his perseverance. 4. Viney - back to early season form, which is pretty damn good. 3. TMac - the renaissance resumes, after a hiccup last week. 2. Nibbler - continuing great form in his best ever season. Consistency personified! 1. Salem. - great to have him back, and back in form. His impeccable disposal adds a huge amount! Lots of others to commend, including Tracc, Lingers, Knuckles, Maysie and Clarrie.
  5. After last week, anything can happen ……….. even miracles! Dees by 11 points.
  6. Another great podcast guys. Thank you! I needed an uplift after Sunday, and after tuning in on my evening walk, feel better already. ❤️💙
  7. It’s been a very long time since I’ve cast votes after a loss like that one, but I’ll have a crack: 6. ANB - continued his excellent season. Busted his gut all game, and imo, was our best by a fair margin. Won plenty of the ball, and used it constructively. 5. Viney - can’t question his endeavour, but disposal was questionable under pressure. 4. Fritsch - our only forward. Thank goodness for his set shot kicking 3. Pickett - always looked dangerous around the ball, but often tried to be too ‘cute’ when he had it. 2. Oliver - got plenty of the ball, but not damaging with it. 1. Salem - nice return after injury. Good second half, and used it well. No wonder we were soundly beaten!!
  8. Our present ladder position is an accurate reflection of our season so far …… ie. part of a pack of teams in a race to fill positions in the bottom half of the final eight. Can we improve sufficiently to become a top four contender? I think / hope so, but maybe that’s just blind faith. It’s a fair way back, so we need to turn the ship around quickly.
  9. Four points is the priority, but a percentage booster would be nice.
  10. I don’t think there was a Casey winner on the day, and certainly not after quarter time. Mitch White maybe broke even.
  11. Absolutely brilliant! The delightful Mrs. Deeoldfart is still (censored) herself, 5 minutes after reading this treaitise.
  12. Great show as always guys. Both entertaining and insightful. Thank you! ❤️💙
  13. Love the pods guys. Always an important part of my week! Not really a question, but a comment: Our start vs Carlton was obviously deplorable (not helped by the free kicks against), but I was very impressed by the ‘ticker’ and ‘belief’ we showed in working our way back into the game, and then ultimately running it down to the wire. IMO this ‘never say die’ attitude, combined with a full list, can take us a long way in 2024. It probably sounds like heresy, but this was the first time in many years that I haven’t felt totally ‘gutted’ after a loss.
  14. 6. Petracca 5. ANB 4. Langdon 3. Rivers 2. Windsor 1. May
  15. ‘Watertight’ defence vs ‘leaky’ defence. It might be close game, but I’m backing the ‘watertight’ defence every day of the week. Dees by 19 points.
  16. That’s normal. He needs media training more than the 18 year old Leb!
  17. Fantastic interview with TMac. Huge thanks to @Terrance Langley for bringing it to attention, and @Demonland for posting.
  18. Another fantastic Pod @Demonland, @george_on_the_outer and @binman. Thank you! I tuned in on a three hour (usually boring) drive that I’ve done many times, and I was enthralled for every minute. Very enjoyable and extremely insightful! Great work!
  19. Not so sure about Turner, Ouch! If I read the play correctly, Disco payed a defensive roll on Stewart, and limited his impact significantly.
  20. Huge thanks to our players for their heroics, but don’t forget Goody and his team. Coaching MASTER CLASS!
  21. Our defenders (including the newbies) and our defensive systems. The best by how far? …. and we still have Bowser and Salo to return!
  22. Our game plan(s) are evolving nicely. Go Dees!
  23. Epic win!! Very hard to fit them all in to the 6 votes. My votes: 6. Lever - duplicated his effort of last week. A pillar! 5. Petty - welcome back Petts. Outstanding return to form. The goals will come! 4. May - a rock. Continued his complete dominance over Hawkins. 3. Gawn - what a ruckman, what a leader, what a goal! 2. T. Mac - continued his renaissance against the Cat’s best player. I’m thrilled for him. 1. Windsor - a kid in only his eighth game. Unbelievable! Loads of apols, headed by Lingers, McVee, Fritta (GOTY?), Koz and Clarrie. Go Dee’s! We are pretty damn good!
  24. Heart warming story WCW. C’mon Dees, a few more ‘one percenters’ (in honour of Jade), will get us over the line tonight. ❤️💙
  25. Fantastic interview Andy and Kade, as well as Demonlanders who contributed to the thoughtful range of questions posed to Chin. This is exactly the sort of interview that makes Demonland the premier supporter site in the AFL. Well done all!
