I couldn’t listen to this week’s Pod live, because of no remote area internet connectivity. I listened intently yesterday, on my drive back to the ‘real world’. Another absorbing show guys. It made the long drive home a ‘breeze’. Thank you.

Four points, solid goal kicking and standing up to a four quarter challenge from the Saints, provide a solid stepping off point for the next part of the season. Still heaps to work on, and lots of players to find some form, but I’ll sleep better tonight.

6. May 5. Petracca 4. Salem 3. Sparrow 2. Viney 1. Hunter Couldn’t quite squeeze McVee, Lever & Melksham in for a vote.

I have an (unusual for me) uneasiness in my gut about this game. Sad to say, it’s the same feeling I had last week, and it doesn’t bode well …….………… but we couldn’t fluff an other opportunity to consolidate our rightful position in the top 4, could we? Nup. We are too good to let that happen. Last week was an aberration, surely! Dees by 3 points, but I’m buggered if I know where our goals are going to come from.

I’m always ‘glass half full’ with our beloved Dees, but gee, I’m confused / perplexed by this week’s team selection. I’m shaking my head in disbelief, but simultaneously acknowledging that our MC know far more about these things than I do. Gee, but, wow!

Well I love it! Taj has done some hard yards, and has earned the rewards. Maybe another Judd McVee? I love it again, and again!
-
Thanks Andy for letting us know. Looking forward to the Pod Panel dissecting our win over the Saints next weekend. At least we won’t be able to blame the wet weather! Enjoy the travels. Well earned!

6. Viney (outstanding again!) 5. May 4. Brayshaw 3. Bowey 2. Petracca 1. Sparrow Rivers, McVee; Salem, ANB, Hunter and Lever can also hold their heads up to an degree. Others not so much, and a few should hang their heads tonight.

Just win Dees! My optimism has waned following the Geelong capitulation, and I’m feeling distinctly uneasy about this.
-
Another great pod guys: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I deliberately stayed away from most of the ‘gloom & doom’ in post match thread following the Geelong game, and I’m definitely buoyed by the optimism expressed by all three of you in relation to our meeting with GWS next weekend. Absolutely the therapy I needed. Huge thanks!

Thanks for another great report Kev. In Richo’s injury report today, he said that Clarrie is expected to miss another 1 to 2 weeks, because of a combination of his recent scans, and him not meeting certain Club “markers” (which presumably relate to fitness). Let’s hope it’s more about his fitness levels, and less about what the scans are saying.

6. Viney 5. Rivers 4. Salem 3. Petracca 2. Hibberd 1. Hunter Grundy and Lever a bit unlucky. Most of the rest MIA for most of the night.

I’m expecting a tough grind in the wet, but I’m quietly confident the traits of guts, grit and determination that we have shown over the last few weeks, combined with our trademark pressure, team defence and winning the contested ball, will get us over the line by a couple of goals. In short, if we play the ‘Melbourne Way’ we will win.
-
We were awful in the wet against the bombers, and Tommo was probably our worst. I wonder if that has anything to do with his non selection for tonight.
-
Crompton, Massey, Miller. What an outstanding full back line! Key parts of our 1964 Premiership list. Only Bobby Miller is still with us. So sad. RIP Bernie.💕

I was glued to the Pod right to the end. That has to be worth ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Thanks as always guys! PS. Maybe I was drowsy towards the end, because I’m sure I heard Binman select the Cats. I was dreaming, wasn’t I? 😄😄

Yes, and more and more he can be seen directing traffic.

As always, another fab pod folks. Thank you for your commitment, the wide-ranging content, and the huge amount of prep time and effort. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

His work against C’wood suggested to me that he is now very close to, if not at 100%, following the injury that nagged him earlier in the year. A star at his craft. Where would we be without him? * * no need to respond. I think we all know the answer.
-
Always love the Pods guys, but after a win over C’wood, it will have special significance this week! A general observation that may have relevance to several questions from fellow Demonlanders: There’s been plenty of talk about no Clarrie and no Petts in our outstanding win against the Pies, but let’s not forget that Bowser was back close to his best form before being subbed off with concussion vs the Blues. There will be a few selection headaches in fitting those three back into the team in coming weeks let alone giving JJ a decent run at it.

6. Viney 5. Hunter 4. Salem 3. Tomlinson 2. May 1. McVee Riv, Fritta, Max, Gus, Tracc, Lever, and probably others ‘squeezed’ out of the votes, in an outstanding overall Team Performance!

I LOVE our Dees! ❤️💙 Grit and determination prevailed!
-
This morning’s magpies are this evening’s feather dusters! Dees by a few in a tight one, I reckon.

Is 186 in peril here?
