  1. I wonder how much we will be able to gauge from today’s hit out? I’ll be mostly looking for some hints and insights into tactical / game plan changes that we might take into the ā€˜23 season, and some clues as to the possible ā€˜pecking order’ where there seems to be strong competition for spots in our best 23.
  2. Thanks BBP. Great news if reliable. This would indicate that he’s been cleared of any significant structural damage.
  3. BBB presumably being ā€˜managed’. How are TMac and JVR looking?
  4. Still no sign of Fritta in the recent pics and flicks?
  5. Great discussion point DS, thanks! I love Chandler’s loyalty, persistence, work ethic and pressure on the ball carrier, but at this stage, I’m just not convinced that he has that special ā€˜spark / edge’ that separates the good small forwards from the ā€˜rest’. Given the likely tall(ish) structure of our forward half, and the projected midfield time of Kozzi, I think we need to have an opportunistic, creative and clever small forward, who will be at the feet of marking contests, and frequently capitalise when the ball (inevitably as it will) hits the deck. I just haven’t seen that sort of flair or magic from Chandler. Less than even money from me at this stage, but it would be huge for us if I’m wrong. Go Chin!
  6. So it will be Big Bald Benny Brown (BBBB).
  7. First thing I noticed in this clip. Still a high ball drop, but a significant improvement imo.
  8. Training reports from Pickett and others about Deakyn Smith have me excited, but I’m the first to admit that I know very little about him. From reports he seems to be a smooth moving defender with good skills, who reads the play well, but that’s about it. How good are his defensive skills one-on-one (?), who on our list might he challenge for a senior berth (?), who on our list or others does he remind our track watchers of (?), could he play a Nev Jetta or Hibbo role (?). I’m really intrigued. Thanks for any insights.
  9. Can we select both Burgoyne and Turner if Salo is placed on the LT injury list? Genuine question.
  10. I'm extremely disappointed for all Demonlanders who made the trip to Gosch's for nothing at all, and for the rest of us who thrive on the reports from our track-watchers. Maybe the Club could repair some of the adverse PR generated by their poor form, by apologizing, and going to the effort of putting a meaningful training report from today's session on the Official site.
  11. I’d prefer that he get his thumb (?) / hand (?) / wrist (?) fixed first. šŸ˜„
  12. I love all the praise above for Daisy. Every bit of it 100% justified and earned. She’s a true legend of our great Club, and the game itself.
  13. Great to see no post-surgery bandaging or strapping on Clarrie’s injure hand.
  14. ……… my preferred trifecta: Flag (AFL), Flag (AFLW), Flag (Casey Demons). We came close in 2022, and hopefully we can go one better in 2023.
  15. Yes, compliments of the season to members of the Demonland family everywhere, and especially to Andy, and all those involved in keeping this wonderful ā€˜meeting place’ up and running for all Dees fans
  16. Great pod, thanks! Out of every player on every AFL list, Max would be my first choice as skip. We are so lucky to have him!
  17. If only we had one in the MCG precinct to 'train down'!
  18. A couple of points of motivation, apart from watching the Dees in win #5 for the 2023 season OD: - free accommodation in a mates apartment, within walking distance of Adelaide Oval, - Mrs DoF and I enjoy visiting the SA wine regions and beaches. We’ll drive from Canberra, and make a bit of a holiday of it. The Dees game is followed by another game (Port and somebody) so we will probably stay on for that. Yes, we went to watch the Dees [censored] Adelaide at AO last season.
  19. Got my tickets this morning, no probs. Reserved seat in a dedicated area for Melbourne members for the Dees game. Very happy!
  20. Fabulous poddy thanks to Andy, George, Bin, and of course, Jason Taylor. I’m currently in a remote part of the Snowy Mountains, with pretty dodgy internet coverage, so I couldn’t listen live. However, I’m pleased to say it’s coming through loud and clear this morning, as I sit outside in the sunshine, sharing my toast and marmalade with a red and blue (Crimson) Rosella, which is sitting on top of my IPad, which rests on my lap. How lucky we are to live in this great country, and to follow our great team play in the greatest sporting competition on earth! Thanks again guys, for your podcasts throughout the year. Always interesting, enjoyable and informative! Go Dees!
  21. A fantastic ’fit’ for the MFC job. All the best Benny!
  22. That post is worth a double love WCW! šŸ’•
