2019 Player Reviews: #33 Oskar Baker
Turbo Speed. Nice sidestep. Decision making/disposal solid. If he can build his endurance then he will have a good AFL career.

Dees Plan to Turbocharge the Midfield
Langdon and Tomlinson have the endurance to push back to help out defenders, and push forward to be an option in forward 50. The width they provide will also be a boon for a player like Petracca who can win his own ball, and will have wide options in space to hit up by foot.

Hayden Young (Drafted by Fremantle)
Rupert presumably pays Bucky to produce this errant nonsense. Here is my application for some of the right wing extremist's dollars: Footy has passed Jones and Hibberd. D Grade? A fit May will be an A Grader. Bailey Fritch is a B grader with potential to be an A grader. Melksham is a B grader who can play some A Grade games. Salem is a B Grader wh o can play some A Grade games. Brayshaw had a D grade year. Needs to show a return to 2018 form in 2020. Kolo should retire. B/A grade talent but gets concussed too often.

How do you rate our trade period?
2 wingers is a positive for me.
-
Are we plotting a late heist?
Probably go as delisted free agent.
-
Need for another ruckman?
We do seem to play it pretty vanilla with rookie list.
-
Are we plotting a late heist?
We need to have 3 selections at the draft but rookie elevations can count as one of the 3.

Farewell to Our First Pick in 2020
Giants won't want a player in a trade.

Farewell to Our First Pick in 2020
Inside Mids need not apply! I like it. Get 2 of the most promising speedy types with footy skills in for Day 1 of 2020 Preseason, at least one who likes to snaffle a goal. I'm excited!

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
Langdon has speed and elite endurance. Hunt has speed, does he have elite endurance required to play on a wing?
-
Why are the Saints so attractive?
Hawks payed plenty in draft assets for O'Meara and he is yet to show he can regain the pre injury turbo speed. Wingard cost them Burton and the pick Port used on Duursma who had a great rookie season.

Why are the Saints so attractive?
I think that is a little unders!

Why are the Saints so attractive?
Newnes is a restricted free agent which means he was in their top quarter of contract dollars this year.

Compromised 2020 Draft
it may actually make high picks more valuable. Both Father/Son and Academy players have to be bid for. If there are highly rated players who might attract a very high bid then their club will want to secure high picks or risk being excised to end of draft for rest of there picks.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
Erm. Without Preuss we have no back up to Gawn. He will likely be valuable draft capital end of 2020 or 2021. Baker has elite speed, nice sidestep and uses the ball better than some of his more senior colleagues. He has a chance to make it. Spargo was impressive in 2018. Had a down 2019. Pretty early to right off. Oscar played a role in 2018. Like Spargo had a down 2019. He is not a first choice key defender. May, Lever, Petty ahead. How many clubs have quality backup key defenders? He is a roleplayer. How do you know he is payed more than role player?

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
Because to get to half a metre out to kick the gimme goal he has to run bloody hard, and outrun his opponent. And it makes his opponent a little more wary and defensive.

Farewell Sam Frost
Thanks and Good Luck Frosty. I note that the Frosty highlights package on his new club's web site don't include any highlights of Frosty playing as a Key Defender one on one in an aerial contest against a Key Forward.

May Day 2020
He proved he was capable of working hard in 2019 preseason but was cruelled by starting unfit,

Buckenara: Dees List Overrated
Bucky has somehow larked onto what is presumably a reasonably lucrative gig as the Hun's list and recruiting guru in an age when sport is pretty much what sells papers and views. Adds a bout as much value as Joey Montagna on the FF Draft show.

May Day 2020
Will help if he reports in shape to day 1 of Preseason.
- New List Manager - Tim Lamb?

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Tom Lynch was of course drafted one pick before Dees first pick that year allowing us to snare Lucas Cook. Jeremy Cameron was not available in draft. Danger was available, taken 6 picks after we selected Cale Morton.

Farewell Sam Frost
Ah Brad Sewell. Back in the day before 08 flag deal was done to swap Sewell for Ryan Ferguson only for Ferguson to veto. Which just shows even then the Hawks didnt know how to draft key defenders. Who was their last home grown quality key defender? Croad? Mew?
-
Farewell Sam Frost
Peter Curran another. Looked good at the Hawks as a 3rd tall, rather ordinary at the Bears.

2020 Assistant Coach Prospects: The Next Batch
Didnt we appoint Alan Richardson to take tasks off the senior coach?
