  1. Have to package to a club in need of points for matching bids on academy/fatherson picks. 23 = 815 points 30 = 629 points 36 = 502 points Total 1976 points which is enough points to match a bid at 5 (without factoring in discounts)
  2. 8 is only very fair for May if Suns concur.
  3. Saints shut that down pretty quick.
  4. Scully a risk because the elite part of his game is his hard 2 way running. Coming of a serious ankle injury there has to be doubt that he can sustain the running load required to return to his elite 2 way running best without causing further complications. Additionally he is entering his 28 yo season which is more of note for Scully because we know he was preparing at an elite level as a teenager so he has done more kms than most other players his age. Wingard is a risk because Clarkson is betting on being able to persuade Wingard step up from semi pro to elite professional preparation. Port's football department and players have lost patience with trying to make him change his ways. Even if both do get back to their best Hawks are still lacking genuine centre square contested ball mids and key forwards and defenders, and they have an ageing list. Will the Hawks be a slightly better version of the post Premiership Geelong?
  5. Yes he did. Preuss filling important Spencil Memorial Cult Ruck From Townxville slot.
  6. 206cm. 109kg. Big Unit From Townsville. Nickname Mr Townsvile Preuss. or just Castle Hill
  7. T$. $t Kilda. Perfect Match!
  8. 2 average seasons. Big Contract. Low Production. Salary Cap Dump. Swans are opening alot of salary cap space. May be for 2019 free agency/trade. They don't have any trade currency this year unless they release one of their better players.
  9. Mahoney has made it pretty clear that Jesse and his management know and are ok with the picks that we need to release him to Freo this year. Bell may be no dill but rarely has an AFL club entrusted its trade negotiations to a duo as inexperienced in negotiating trades than Freo with Bell and Rosich. Bell obviously wants to make a big statement in his first week in the job - trying on win-lose trades and thinking he could sweet talk Neale into extending at Freo - but we don't have to come to the party and going by what Mahoney has said we know the deal we need to release Jesse this year.
  10. It was a fairly obvious deduction, a known known if you like. GC know the pick they'll get for May in free agency next year and want close to that if they release him this year. Only way we can do that is with a Hogan trade producing Pick 5.
  11. Wingard is an elite talent but his production over the last 2 years has been below par for his talent and contract. Turned up out of shape for last preseason. Hopefully its like the OMeaera deal and Clarko gets what he wants without the likes of Fagan or Evans being there to over rule the trade offer. Pick 15 and Burton'd be nice. Hawks fans love Burton and are currently having conniptions at the very thought of him being traded. Of course if Wingard decides to reenter the world of professional football they may forget Burton.
  12. Freo lowballing has all the hallmarks of neophyte football administrators Peter Bell - straight out of radio and Steve Rosich - Dockers CEO with commercial not footy admin experience moonlighting due to staff departures, trying to prove to Freo fans and the AFL community that they have hair on their chest and are tough hard negotiators. Rarely has an AFL club entrusted its trade week negotiations to 2 more inexperienced staff members. Will be most amusing if Hogan stays a Dee in 2019 then accepts a trade to the Eagles!
  13. If Suns hold May for another season and then leaves as a free agent they know they'll get a pick after their first selection so Pick 2 or close given they must be favourites for wooden spoon. If we get Pick 5 that may be close enough to get a yes. Pick 10 I'd struggle to accept if I was the Suns. Just does not make business sense.
  14. Saints twitter has not surprisingly nixed this already. Has impressed when he's played.
  15. Also fills the great Spencer's shoes as a cult ruck from Townsville.
  16. Ah yes, Paul 'The Armless Man' Johnson so named for his failure to understand that if you're a tall chap picked to play as a tall chap lifting your arms above your head towards the incoming ball is really quite essential. Preuss at least has the mongrel to go with his height and bulk, and is not averse to marking the ball above his head. Its fairly obvious that we can't keep playing Max in the ruck for most of the game as he will be cooked late in the season.
  17. Jones plays on the wing these days not in the guts.
  18. Very good? More likely a solid role player for mine at a team short of contested ball mids. He can win contested ball but is one paced, gets caught with the ball and is unreliable by hand and foot. Part of the challenge for Dom is dealing with his slide in status from high draft pick to solid inside mid.
  19. Jesse's underover work needs work! Takes Dees backpack to Perth. Doesn't change from airport clothes for visit to Freo Facilities. My read is that he won't say yes to Freo deal Neale to Brisbane for Pick 4. Management would be aware Dees will be seeking 2 first rounders.
  20. KK has the potential to be an elite player, reads the play well, can intercept and run the lines, Much prefer KK off halfback to Lewis or on the wing instead of Jones or Tyson. Concussion history a worry and should reduce Suns asking price. Reports are Docs identified his concussion susceptibilty as being neck related and that neck issue has been corrected . Still a risk for mine but high reward if he becomes a regular.
  21. I prefer JKH on the wing to one paced inside mids like Jones and Tyson. JKH plays a disciplined role as a winger, does not automatically go into the contest so gives width, runs hard to cover for defenders who've left their forward etc and is not treacle slow.
  22. Vote 1 - Oskar Baker More broadly I don't want to see onepaced inside mids playing on the wing.
  23. JKH is a better winger than Tyson. Tyson can win contested ball but he is one paced, gets caught in possession too often and his disposal is unreliable. All in all not a winger and I imagine he realises he will struggle to play regular senior footy at the Dees next year and beyond as we look to get more run in the team. Still there are clubs who lack contested ball winners who he could play a role for over the next few years like the Blues. My guess from a club perspective is that he is probably on a contract that pays him pretty well and they see him struggling to play every week so want contract off the books to create salary cap room.
  24. Arent there already pathways for elite juniors?
