  2. Probably wouldn’t have made the difference between a win and a loss but we did lose a key forward before the game and a key defender five minutes in - this sort of thing is a weekly phenomenon.
  3. Missed last week due to “soreness” and misses again this week. Translation: at Melbourne this means a likely 4 - 6 weeks if he can avoid surgery to overcome the “soreness”
  4. The VFL hasn’t had a “reserves” competition since dumping the Development League at the end of 2017.
  5. 6. Angus Brayshaw 5. Clayton Oliver 4. Max Gawn 3. James Harmes 2. Christian Salem 1. Marty Hore
  6. Could history repeat and Petty get another game against St Kilda.
  7. It’s becoming a common problem with footballers these days. Hopefully, he’ll come good.
  8. The freehold land on which the Daily Planet is located was sold last year. I have a feeling that the award winning brothel is soon going to go the way of the Gatwick.
  9. Terrible thing to happen to Mitchell but I wouldn’t say that a key injury to such a major player for a rival team for a finals spot is “not MFC related”. Let’s hope that we don’t suffer a similar setback to one of our players.
  10. Oh, ok then. Close thread.
  11. We now have a couple of picks in the 20s, of which one selection might be used on Noah Gown.
  12. GCS are better placed than we were because the AFL is desperate for the franchise up there to succeed. I don’t think it’s beyond the bounds of credibility to think that the AFL would be pulling all of the necessary levers to get Hogan there (special ambassador payment outside the salary cap). It all depends on Hogan’s mindset and his wish to go home but I wouldn’t rule it out.
  13. Because the second language of the AFL is telling lies.
  14. Peter Bell has told the media in Perth this evening that he would be prepared to do a trade for Bennell if the club in question was prepared to part with a top ten pick.
  15. That offer was a ludicrous one to make in light of the new rules that in my opinion will make key forwards more valuable to their teams. I think the club should start a new discussion with Hogan and his management concerning him playing with the club in 2019 and working towards negotiating a longer term agreement as the year unfolds.
  16. Reports suggest he was waiting for the B & F before announcing his decision. If that’s right and he didn’t announce that he was staying last night, then expect the news by Monday that he’s selected North Melbourne.
  17. We should also have a crack at getting Andrew Brayshaw across and giving them adjoining lockers.
  18. I think that’s the tack we might want to take.
  19. Could we put out an all points bulletin to locate Chris from Camberwell and invite him as a guest on the Demonland Podcast. It would be riveting!!!
  20. I was watching The Block tonight and I now understand the fascination with the Gatwick. Magnificent!
  21. He probably doesn't fit the criteria because he's now living here but what's involved in drafting an international rookie like the NZ kid we had over here a few years ago?
  22. Welcome to the wonderful world of the AFL. The final nail in the coffin will come if they go lightly on GWS for their role in the Whitfield affair.
  23. Of course Melksham was already on the list.
