Agree. That goes for Oliver as well.

I know where you are coming from but Petracca also has a number of 'moments' every game.
-
Beggars can't be choosers but you'd reckon both Norf and the Giants are not first choice clubs to coach. I'd wait if I were him.
-
Had one moment but also had three goal assists and a whopping 10 score involvements. I don't think Goodwin would be at all worried.

Think our expectations for Tracc are pretty high. If Harmes, Sparrow, etc. got 30 possies with 17 contested, four centre clearances, nine score involvements, three goal assists and nearly 600 metres gained no one would hesitate giving them votes. The clanger stat is always high for inside mids. The nature of having to get ball on boot in a hurry. With that said he still went at 83 percent disposal efficiency.

Think you mean Barings.

Harsh on Sparrow and Rivers. Generous to ANB and Gawn.

Not sure you can complain. Tough, taxing game. Cream rose to the top in the end. Will be remembered as the Kozzie game. Tommo, Hibbo, Sparrow, Tracc and Viney all good. Worried about Bedford. Needs to do more. Jackson and Gawn are way off.

WTF? Was great in the trenches today.

6. Koz 5. Tracc 4. Viney 3. Tomlinson 2. Sparrow 1. BBB Special mention to Rivers who constantly put his body on the line and Fritta who kicked a couple but gave three away.

Think Gawn and Jackson are our biggest issues at the moment. No aerial presence at all.
-
Liked Tomlinson today. Playing well. Kozzie's been electri Sparrow and Rivers working hard. BBB doing some good things. Dislike Petracca playing like a millionaire. Mindless bombs into forwardline.
-
I'm apprehensive. Port are in good form and have to win to stay in touch of the eight. Life without Clarrie will be a challenge too.
-
No, our best is Fritta who also has 34 goals for the season.
-
I'm not worried. Max has always said (privately) we'll win two in a row. It's a long season. We'll need to win three finals. We are capable of that. There's no perfect model. Every team has issues.

Plus Davies Uniake and Simpkin for depth...

Is Roosy still a consultant there?

Generally speaking, it is difficult getting a kick in an AFL forward line these days. The flooding is such that space is at a premium and marks inside 50 are the exception not the rule. Sure I'd love BBB to take a few more contested marks (with two defenders hanging off him) and make the most of his opportunities. And of course, we'd love Fritta not to be the second tall, often playing on 200cm defenders. And we'd all love our midfielders to kick into space so our forwards can run onto the ball. But this only possible in a 6x6x6 situation. Our game for the past 18 months is to kick into the pocket, lock it in and see if someone can scrounge a goal. For the most part that's been successful, especially if our rucks are on their game. One thing about the best forward lines (Carlton and Geelong) they have twin towers. Curnow and McKay + Hawkins and Cameron. We don't have the personnel so we're trying to make do. Finals is another beast and I think our system, while not perfect, will stand up in September.

Agree. Also, there were a few contests squibbed Thursday night. I'd make an example of one or two guys. Bowey, Bedford among others.
-
Really liked Laurie's game. Jacob van Roo. showed plenty Chandler is very confident at this level. Hunt and Dunstan played well. Plenty for the selectors to think about.
-
Cats dominated Inside 50s, clearances and centre clearance and stoppages. The last three area I guess you could attribute to Gawn and Jackson probably probably being underdone and Geelong's willingness to go harder longer. As good as BBB was in the first half the lack of marks in our forward 50 must be a worry to the coaches. Whether that is game style or blokes out of form it is too big an ask just to score goals from general play. Gawn and Jackson had one mark between them. Again disappointed with the games of Bedford and Bowey and Jordon had a Barry Crocker. .

Salem was good last week. Poor tonight. He is such an important player but seems to be holding back since returning from injury.
-
Agree with the precise kicking, but Riv's willingness to put his head in a hole is superior to Bowey's.
-
Win this and the three-game losing streak is forgotten. They say being nervous and excited are the same emotion. I'm excited!

The idea in isolation has merit. However, if you take Petty out of defence and then you need a tall, aerially strong replacement. Do we have that? No. Tomlinson is very poor overhead. Disco Turner is a possibility but has only played half a game. It would be nice if someone up forward could clunk a few...
