My 3 word player analysis V Carlton
Salem was brilliant!

VOTES: Rd 22 vs Carlton
6. Melk 5. Oliver 4. Salem 3. Hunt 2. Jordon 1. May.

GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Carlton
Has Petracca had a touch? Melksham and May good. Jackson better. Saad doing damage setting up. Carlton ultra defensive, flooding back.

As much as Gawn is an asset he's also a liability!

NON-MFC: Round 22, 2022
So what I know of Ratten is he was a brilliant midfield coach at Melbourne under Daniher. A premiership winning senior assistant at Hawthorn. Did a relatively good job at Carlton all things considered and at the Saints saw them play finals for the first time in eight years. I agree with you on some of the list management decision (Hill, Crouch, Jones, etc) but the blame shouldn't be all on him. Same coach that has some of the kids (Wanganeen Milera, Windhagen, etc) playing decent football. And by the way, if you're resorting to ad hominem attacks after a relatively innocuous comment (saying if I had any small idea) your argument can't be too sound or you have a few issues! I think it could be the latter.

Not sure not being able to kick a goal from 20 metres is necessarily Ratten's fault!

I'd trade King. Has cost the Saints quite a few games this year and they'll get plenty for him.

POSTGAME: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
So many occasions where we bombed to the pocket rather than use a hit up target. Likes of Pickett and Langdon were often 15 metres clear and not used. I understand where there are no options we tend to go to the pocket to try and lock it in but players need to back their judgement and go with best option.

CHANGES: Rd 22 vs Carlton
Is 'Punxsatawny Phil' Laurie? Interesting because he was said to be an elite runner when drafted.

CHANGES: Rd 22 vs Carlton
I think ANB has had enough chances this year. So much momentum is lost when he finally gets the ball after fumbling. My only concern is that Chandler and Bedford has has a few opportunities and never really grabbed them. I wonder if Laurie is the best option. Seems a good kick and sure ball handler.

This statement affirms what most us us already know. You know very little about football.

VOTES: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
6. Petracca 5. Viney 4. Brayshaw 3. Oliver 2. May 1. Gawn (stats look great but 48 percent disposal was costly)

POSTGAME: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
Pies are a good team. Fit, good system 22 contributors. But we should have been six goals up at half time when we had the opportunities. We hardly fired a shot after half time but a decent buffer could have been insurmountable. First halves of Langdon, Brayshaw, Salem were great but we need more. Eight goals from Johnson and Elliot really hurt.

Petty, Hibberd, Kozzie, RiversSpargo, Hunt nowhere near it tonight. The thing that changed the game though was Gawn's goalkicking. Arrogant!- GAMEDAY: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
I'm worried. Max's four shots on goal will be costly. ANB having a shocker.- GAMEDAY: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
Hibberd is having a Barry Crocker- GAMEDAY: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
If Max is going to be a forward target then he needs to learn to kick! Not sure who on Elliot but three goals in a quarter and a half is a concern.- COACHES VOTES: Round 20, 2022
Interesting thing was how few Demonlanders had May in their votes this week.- The Run Home
Was it a top spinner or perhaps an overspinner? :) Gary Lyon was famous for his torp against Carlton in the 1988 Prelim Final.- How Geelong Stays Competitive
Amazing what the inclusion of four or five players plus a turnaround in form can do. Their forward line with Stengle and a fit Cameron has made a huge difference. Tom Atkins, de Koning and Max Holmes have been terrific as well. They aren't as reliant on their old stars as in previous years and have a more aggressive take it on gameplan. I still think their bottom six of Kolo, Parfitt, Rohan, Bews, Miers, etc. are worse than ours and when the whips are cracking our midfield is far superior..- Farewell Sam Weideman
The weird thing is after the Essendon game this year where he had seven shots on goal for 4:3, most of us thought that the penny had dropped. He would finally live up to his potential. This game like the final against Geelong are one offs.- Farewell Sam Weideman
The thing with the Weed is at the time of scouting there was talk about how competitive and courageous he was in the air. We don't see any of that. Decent on the lead and ok kick but if you are a key forward you have to contest in the air.- My 3 word player analysis V Fremantle
Haha, love it Bluey! 😀- CHANGES: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
WTF? Sparrow was in many Demonlanders votes tonight. His harassment, tackling etc tonight was magnificent. - POSTGAME: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
