Interesting. I've tipped against us which, of course, never works. Last time was against the Lions. Simple case of who is hungrier.

Tarryn Thomas is just the kind of mid we need to complement Jack, Tracc Clarry and Viney. He will be close to best player in comp in two years. Would have loved Papley straight from Casey. Similarly Oscar Mac as a back up ruck. Don't hate them but any of our preferred targets Bailey Humphrey, Mac Andrew, Max Holmes and Georgiades would look good in red and blue.

You'd say so Skuity! He was invited to pre-season training with us. Has played for Casey this year and apparently has been at the club a number of times. Think the club identified Zane some time back...

Interesting that Carlton for the first time in two decades are starting to play as a team! When that happens, and it happened with us in 2021, it can be a bloody powerful thing. We'll have to play very well to beat them.

North are reasonably well off in the midfield with LDU, Simpkin, Thomas, Sheezel, Wardlaw, etc. They might want to add one but not two. They desperately need quality small forwards and probably a replacement for McKay.

One of the jobs may be to keep Weitering under control as well? Similar to what teams do with Lever and May. Has been in great form in the past two months. Schache has done that type of job with the Bulldogs.

I don't mind it. Always been a mature voice with the Players Association. His guest commentary on Channel Seven is pretty insightful. Better choice than a pale, stale, male 60 year old company board appointment.

I'm not so sure. Will have polled regularly as shown by the Coaches votes. Does dynamic things that catch the eye. Every favourite has players taking votes away. Finishes the season with a bang and he's a huge chance.

Not sure why JJ gets lumped in with HArmes? Everything Harmes touched turned to [censored]. JJ had 24 disposals at 88 percent with two goal assists and six score involvements.

Our run home is looking harder by the day with the Hawks thrashing the Pies, the Blues in top form and Swans not giving up on a finals spot. Finish second and we'll have done exceptionally well.

I'm in the trade draft picks for Reid camp, but only if the price is right. It was mentioned in another thread that Adelaide offered three first rounders to North for Horne Francis which could have been the likes of Bailey Humphrey, Josh Rachele and Jefferson. Humphrey alone could be a better player than Horne Francis. If we are short on list spots then quality over quantity makes sense. But we have no idea at this stage who'll be on the list next season. There are question marks over TMac, BBB, Melksham, Hibberd, Dunstan, Laurie, Jordon, Tomlinson, Grundy, Harmes, etc. That's a quarter if our list. Chances are we'll want at least two picks in the first round. I think we still need to draft a tall flanker/mid like Duursma and look for May and Viney replacements. Not sure we afford to put all our eggs in the Reid basket.
