Just read the trade wrap on Fox footy website that still says Oliver and Kosi goes and Dogga stays. FFS - Dogga has all but confirmed he’ll request a trade and “he stays” while all our boys are keeping quiet and “they go”

Kalani is a defender first before a ruckman. I think he’d be a suitable replacement for May. We all know that in 4 years time when we still have f50 connection problems, we’ll have a thread to move Kalani up forward and blame Goody when he refuses to pull the trigger.

The funny thing is they don’t actually need a Kozzy type. They already have Bolton and Dudley who are both good players. To be honest they don’t need many players, they are pretty stacked of talent. What They need is a new game plan.

LJ will allow us to extend Max for another 1-2 years though. Could we play Max as a KPD? Maybe as an intercepting defender?

Hogan was the one we missed but who knows if he we had picked him up from Freo that he would become this. We don’t know what his relationship was with players before he left some time ago. So Viney misses 2 games and Bo Allen gets the 1 week. No revised penalty … seems fair.

Funny reading some Freo posts that it’s Kozzy and our first rounder for LJ. I think not. LJ requested the trade so they have lost leverage. It would be great if Kozzy came out and said he wants to stay. Don’t know how we deal in either scenario. End of the day a direct swap is probably fair. They are both good players that go missing for many games but can impact a game every now and then.

Comment of the day. Granted they have to watch loads and all but figure out a way to practise f50 connection in a load abiding way. As for flush run or relaxing they have 30 other hours in the week to do this. When you are on the park use the time wisely.

Nope not doing a straight swap. Kozzy is on peanuts compared to LJ. If we are to take on his salary until 2029 then it has to come with this years first round pick. Kozzy is really starting to show what he is capable of. He has another 2-3 years before he hits prime Kozzy. LJ hasnt really improved to the levels we all expected.

its a bust. It is clear as day. The kid has not shown a glimpse or sparkle of anything. i.e. a strong contested mark, game awareness a tackle. Even in the magoo's he is not busting the doors down like JVR was in his 2nd season. The kid has to fight for an AFL career, best thing for him is to be told it isnt happening this season... it'll take the pressure off and we will see whether he fights for a new contract or just stands idle as his footy career slips him by. Time to focus on a JVR, Turner, Petty combination of forwards. Personally i think we can make it work with those three the moment we start to fix our forward connection and forward craft. Pies dont have one and they are on top; Brissy dont have one and they are top 4, Hawthorn have a 3rd stringger (Chol) and a veteran in GUnston and they make it work. 4th quarters have been dog poo. Massive problems and fitness team and program needs to be reviewed EOY. Along with skills program it’s been shizen.

I don’t think it would be actually well not the whole year. IF he is not fit. I’d give 2-3 extra training blocks to improve his fitness for next year. If he is FIT then we are in strife.

Id give JVR a mulligan. I’d like to see him play 2nd fiddle to Petty. Turner does look good down back too so I’d rather play him there as the 3rd tall. If JVR not capable then switch him to the backline as third tall and Turner up forward.

Ideally yes. But we have zero spread ahead of the ball. What is the point of having sit on HB winning turnovers where he has nothing to kick to? Bowey and Rivers behind the ball and Windsor on the HFF. Season is kaput so worth a shot.

Although we didn’t cut much in the corridor and when we did it was stop and start. Defensive half turnovers have to move quickly and that requires the whole team to be on the same page and spreading to the right locations. If you have that the final piece is having skills to weave it lol together.

Windsor is wasted off HB. I’d look to play him as a High Half forward running up and back will give us some speed on shotgun.
