  1. I’m guessing it’s tomorrow at Casey Fields. Because these sessions are closed to the public, they’re not advertised. But it makes sense to have it tomorrow, then a light captain’s run on Saturday morning.
  2. I’m hoping EVERYONE who can come is coming coz say what you like about Blues fans but they turn up. Okay so they frequently leave at 3qtr time, but they turn up nonetheless. Besides that, for anyone who can attend but is considering watching it at home for whatever reason… two words: Max [censored] Gawn. We endlessly wax lyrical about Max to the point where it’s a brave soul who’ll dare say a negative thing about him. We idolise Max and rightly so. The entire footy world holds Max in the greatest esteem and the respect for him is beyond anything we’ve seen for a long time. Therefore… Back up your love for the big guy by attending his incredible milestone game!
  3. Rivalled only by their 2008 membership drive… Which attracted this sort of publicity…
  4. Maybe they have ‘nam flashbacks to this… Final two minutes of Round 22, 2022
  5. I wasn’t being glib. I was genuinely curious as to why the poster was implying that Fritta will only get to 200 games should he cram the shortfall of 27 games in before this season ends. The implication being that Fritta won’t be adding to his games tally with the MFC beyond this year. That’s how I read it, anyways.
  6. So, two massive milestones on the one day. Shame it’s our away game
  7. Why? Is Fritta going somewhere after this season?
  8. Can definitely confirm. It was at the end of the 2022 season, he was crying and saying “I want to stay here, at this club. I don’t want to leave.” It was heartbreaking to see him so upset.
  9. I wondered why they chose the last nine meetings and not the last 10. Then I remembered Round 9 in 2018 where we beat them by 109 points. We’re long overdue for that kind of win again 👊🏼
  10. As is Collingwood. As reported on Midweek Tackle last night, they’ll have a war-chest of around $2 million at season’s end.
  11. Defs a typo. It will be the same as yesterday’s schedule. I’ll confirm the night before 👍🏽
  12. Yeah it’s the away cheer squad bay (M33). The adjoining bays are GA. The more Dees fans in those bays the better.
  13. Gotta say, I’m happy as a pig in sch!tt with Essendon’s start to the season. Two 10-goal thumpings and there’s still many more to come. I revel in their misery. It never gets old. It never will. Go North this weekend!
  14. Accidental kick to his hand during a contest. Kicker not known. It could’ve been “friendly fire” (oh how I hate that term).
  15. Forgot to mention AMW. He looked like he knows something that we don’t know. The killer smile was broader than usual. I said, “got any special plans for Sunday?” Predictably he said you’ll have to wait and see but he winked when he said it! My spidey senses were off the charts
  16. I’m guessing he chose the second session
  17. Same. Luker was more than ready. He’d been told he was to debut in Round One. But he doesn’t waste energy on being disappointed or dwelling on misfortune. As I’ve said before, nothing gets him down, or up for that matter. He’s the chillest person ever, I swear he’s a heartbeat away from a coma. 😅
  18. Right? We were stunned at how serious that was. We could hear a cacophony of grunting and groaning and bodies slamming against each other. Poor Zach the trainer earned his pay today. And some😅
  19. Harves looked crestfallen today. He wasn’t his usual upbeat self. Now that I hear many of the players were unwell on the weekend I’m thinking maybe he was one of them and the effects are lingering 🤷‍♀️
  20. TC sustained a torn ligament in his neck during a collision in preseason training in mid-January. He was expected to be in the neck-brace for three or four weeks but it ended up being two months. The incident was unremarkable but the damage was serious.
  21. I didn’t see Jeffo there today. I didn’t stay for the second session, maybe he attended that. Shane strained his calf muscle during a match sim.
  22. I’m sorry beelze, it’s a touchy subject. I didn’t mean you any disrespect.
  23. The bloody Casey bye 😡 Luker was told if Casey was playing this weekend he’d be in the side. At this stage they feel he’ll only need one match with Casey but depending on how this week’s seniors match goes it might be two matches with Casey. Regardless, Luker isn’t fussed at all. About his aggression/mongrel/ whatever you wanna call it, I asked him if that’s a conscious choice or if it’s innate. He said it’s just how he’s always played and that as a 16/17yo he was suspended “a fair bit” but now he has learned to control it. One might say he now uses it for good and not evil 😁
  24. Some of us were commenting last week about how TC moves like he’s still in a neck-brace. I asked him why this is so. He said that while the ligaments in his neck have fully healed, two months of zero mobility means that he’s on a structured recovery program that includes physio and that gradually improves the mobility in his neck. He’s still a ways off from being fit.
  25. He might be part of the group doing the second session
