Ok, I’ve remembered a clean joke. I think I’ve already posted it on here years ago but since it’s the only clean joke I know, here ‘tis… A young British guy had three mates over for dinner at his mum’s house. Mum brings out a sumptuous roast chicken and places it on the table. She picks up the carving knife and says to the first of her son’s friends, “Which football team do you go for?” The lad says, “West Ham United.” Mum carves a slice from the left side of the chicken and serves it to him. “And which football team do you go for?” Mum asks the second lad.” The boy replies, “I go for East Ham United” so Mum carves a slice from the right side of the chicken for him. Mum asks the third lad, “Which football team do you go for?” “Arsenal” replied the boy, “But I’m not hungry, thanks.”

Sitting here with this thread open about to type a joke and just realised I don’t know any jokes, not even one, that isn’t dirty. Not one. 🤭

I’m just as gutted as you are about Clarry leaving, possibly more so. But he’s gone, there’s no changing that. What good does it do to be so angry with Kingy? Him being our coach is also something that ain’t gonna change. Therefore, as a genuine Melbourne supporter you should try to embrace all these changes because this is what we’ve got now, there’s no alternative. It’s understandable that you’re still devastated about Claz (I also am) but you shouldn’t direct your frustration and anger towards one person, especially when that one person is our senior coach.

No one is implying he’s on par with any of those you mention, but ffs maybe stop rubbishing him so much and save your judgment for what you see after this preseason. You endlessly bagged the sch!tt outta Goody for selections (along with pretty much everything else) and now you’re effectively already doing the same to Kingy before he’s even coached a game.

Besides, people can’t have their cake and eat it too. Folks laud AJ’s “mongrel” and how he makes his physical presence felt, but at the same time label him a suspension risk.

Little Sam is keeping you up at night? Helenka feeds herself and has done for a while, but yesterday she had to be hand-fed. Any attempt to “disarm” her was met with a perfectly honed you’re gonna have to prise these outta my cold dead hands look. 😅

My little grandy found these pom-poms at mine and immediately fell in love with them, to the point where she refused to let go of them. She even napped while holding them. This started off as good news and it still is, to me. To her parents, not so much. 🤭

Having our traditional Boxing Day do at mine and my niece’s Collingwood loud-mouthed mullet of a boyfriend can’t make it. Me and the rest of my fam right now…

My good news for today is that I went to a shopping centre and came out alive! Shops shut for only two days a year, xmas day and Good Friday. On the eve of both, shopping centres are war-zones. It’s every man for himself, kill or be killed. Supermarkets are the worst. It’s like folks are shopping to restock their underground bunkers for the apocalypse. One day without access to shops turns people into wild beasts. Anyways, apart from being told off by a Karen and having a bloke in steel-capped boots tread on my toes, I came out relatively unscathed. Very good news indeed!

Yes but one sponsor makes up for all the bad ones… LEGO!!!! Best. Sponsor. Ever. What with baby membership, promotional stuff and Lego-sponsored events, I’ve amassed quite the collection of sets. If my house was ever raided the cops would arrest me on suspicion of being part of those gangs stealing heaps of Lego sets. 😅

That is good news! Closer to the game (when date and time is known) we’ll be given the info on pre- and post-match meetups and I’ll post it on Demonland.

I showed her photos of all our players and of course she fell in love with Max (not surprising). Therefore Max will now be known as “Maksym” in our household. 😅 She looked at a picture of Luker and it was a hard nie! (No!) I’m blaming the filthy moustache 😂
