Some special guests joined us for banner-making this afternoon… Ry, Lae Lae (Laela) and Fitzy Radar and Goldie Fitzy, Riggers and Alyssia Tahls and GG All up 10 of the players rocked up which is exactly 10 more than the men when they’re asked to join us. No surprise there LOL. One of our OGs gave an awesome thank you speech to the girls during which he mentioned the difference in terms of fan/cheer squad engagement etc. between the W and the M players. Standing next to me was my good buddy Pauline Fritsch… awkies 🤭 Nah, Paulsy was like yeah nah he’s spot on with that 😅

Agreed, Macca. We were given a soft draw in the W this season which was awesome in the beginning since we were racking up wins and amassing a healthy percentage which has seen us never lower than third on the ladder. But we’ve been spared the test of playing North or Adelaide or Carlton. That said, we’ve had three losses all of which were played interstate. The likelihood is that we’ll play in at least two finals both of which will be at Princes Park. My conclusion therefore is that we win the flag! 🥳😝🥳 Just gotta hope covid runs through the NMFC and takes out everyone in its path Especially Birch 🤭

Pies in the last round sucks but is better than interstate in the last round.

My requests are simple… No more floating [censored] fixture! Fair enough during covid but now we should go back to the release of the fixture in its entirety, with maybe the only unreleased day/time being round 24. And 86 the stoopid Opening Round or Round Zero or whatever it’s called. And no clashes with the AFLW matches of the same club à la us having to leave the men’s match vs Hawthorn at halftime to get over to Whitten Oval in time for the Round One W match. And split Gather Round into two weekends so hopefully the airfare and accommodation is only half as criminally high as it is on that one weekend. And don’t schedule Gather Round to coincide with school holidays. That’s just off the top of my head. I’ll likely be visiting this thread again 😡

I’ve not ever listed either of them as favourites* but I do have their bobble heads and they’ll remain intact. They will forever be premiership players and MFC legends. *I did have Judd as a favourite but he’s my version of your “yeah… nah.”
