  1. Through and through. Third generation of diehard Dees fans. His family is delighted he’s now a Dee. He admitted he was anxious about getting on our list but when it happened it was the best birthday gift ever.
  2. Jai’s moonboot is purely precautionary because he has “a very minor foot thing” His favourite Dees player growing up? Despite the media citing Max and Vines, he actually has never had a single favourite player, rather he loved the midfielders. Even as a little kid he’s always loved the midfielders.
  3. It’s his foot. Unless the medics have lied to him, that is. He says it’s his foot.
  4. At this point, there’s the intra-club at Casey tomorrow at 9:30am Monday - no training Tuesday - Gosch’s at 9:30am Wednesday - indoor training Thursday - Casey time tba Saturday - Gosch’s (captain’s run) Sunday - THE BIG ONE! GO YOU MIGHTY DEES!!!
  5. He’s not here today. But he was last Friday
  6. Today is about fun. They are so happy and playful. Doing drills and sh!tt stirring at the same time. This drill seems to be about reaction times. There’s double handballs flying around players in a circle. Now there’s eight players in a circle with four balls being handballed and the idea is you can’t have two balls at once, ie. you have to give off the ball before you receive another.
  7. Clarry’s favourite colour is blue.
  8. They are training this morning. They’re only gonna be out here for half an hour, having a “muck around match” 🤷‍♀️
  9. There may not be a training report at all since there may not be training. We’ve been here since 8:30am and there’s no sign of anyone. Usually by now the truck is here and the property guys are setting up props etc. and the marquee is up.
  10. This morning’s session will go for only an hour. Minus putting boots on, water/sunscreen breaks and play-fights, that’s approximately 13 mins of legit training. Therefore please don’t expect much of a training report (looking at you, @Roost it far) 😁
  11. Richo used to open the gate if there was only a couple of spectators. Someone on DL expressed their displeasure and now the gate is never opened. I’m not saying that this is the reason why, but if it’s a coincidence, it’s a huge one. Unfortunately my sis from another mr was one of those lucky (now unlucky) spectators. ☹️
  12. Hendo trained but no specific update on him. The gates were locked and my friend couldn’t see much of what was going on.
  13. I have a friend who lives in Frankston and she goes to training at “Crannie” as she calls it. I didn’t want old mate Roost it far to bang on all day about a training report, or lack thereof, so I was messaging her like, just give me something… anything! 😅
  14. I thought it was a bone in his foot, at the top of his foot (where shoelaces are). I’m quite sure that’s what he said. But according to my buddy he was running a lot today and it makes sense because we saw him taking his first run last Friday and he kept on running so I imagine he’s improving with each time.
  15. And… There’s nothing hampering him. He’s training and playing as if back spasms never even happened. Is that enough elaboration for you, Sire? btw I’m annoying my sister from another mister, messaging her begging for info and it’s all because of you!
  16. Roo is there participating in a match sim. Looks fine. 👍🏽 As noted, Petts trained as normal. Kolt is running A LOT. Looking really good.

The ring on Maysie’s finger (above) isn’t a fashion statement. It’s like a Fitbit but worn on the finger, not the wrist. It monitors sleep, energy expended, heart-rate etc. How’s this for a half-baked idea: At the Season Launch Salo took his ring off and handed it to me. I said imagine how funny it’d be if I wore it for the night. The Club would be justifiably worried sick about the data received and they’d be like wtf has happened to Christian? And they’d put him on the long-term injury list. 😅 We had a laugh about it but decided yeah nah, not funny at all.

Yes! In particular, folks from India. I’ve met two separate Indian spectators at training who’ve asked me about the Demon Army and both have signed up, one signed up his girlfriend and the other signed up her son. That’s four MFC & DA memberships. They’ve told me they chose Melbourne upon arriving in Australia because it’s the name of the city they now call home. Besides that, they’re passionate Test Match cricket fans and that passion is easily funnelled into footy during winter. There’s a market just waiting to be tapped into!

See You Next Tuesday 😁 But I get to pick the music that opens our show, k? I don’t know what it will be but what I do know is that it’ll be better than the song that opens the Demonland podcast coz no song is as bad as that one.

I suppose it would be nice and warm inside a bowling pin costume, as long as we don’t wear them when it’s hot. Last year we wore the Gussy helmets for round one and the temperature hovered around 30 degrees. It was the world’s worst case of mass bad hair day when the siren sounded and we ripped them off. Funnily enough, that match was a rare occasion where no one was hit in the head with the ball.

On Monday nights? Wouldn’t we be stealing the Demonland podcast’s listeners?
