  1. Surely you know I’m gonna say he doesn’t have favourites, and that’s because I believe he doesn’t. If he does, he sure hides it well. I took issue with your comment because I think it’s highly disrespectful to suggest a head coach selects his ā€œfavouritesā€ over others in the side. That’s so unproductive and extremely unprofessional. Do you really think, especially at 0-4, Goody would prioritise mate-ship above everything else?
  2. Set up the guillotine y’all. The boys have a day off today. I know right! How dare they have a day off when we’re 0-4! I’m so outraged that I’m gonna flood Demonland with my ridiculous whinging and whining. And by day off I mean there’s no scheduled training of any type. Many of them choose to train in some capacity on a day off, some are involved in footy clinics for kids or visiting elderly and/or ill fans. But still… wah wah wah 😩 Also, they all attended a club function last night, a trivia night with player-sponsors, and get a load of this… they were having fun!!! Preposterous!!! I even saw some of them laughing!!!
  3. How can you have any pudding if you don’t eat your meat?
  4. Kudos to you for admitting it. Now if everyone else could follow suit we could stop the ridiculous discussion about a non-issue.

No, he’s not looking around. I don’t know where Pickett gets his info from but I doubt that it’s reliable. Unless Pickett has accurate info from someone inside the Club who has told him the club are offloading Fritta, then no, Fritta’s not leaving our club.

What makes you so sure of this?
  7. No. Cheers, Ghosty
  8. VOTE FOR SALO! MOTY contender Friday night sucked. Let’s get something positive from it! VOTE NOW!!!!
  9. IT’S 20 MINUTES OUT OF MANY, MANY HOURS OF INTENSE TRAINING. WHY AM I YELLING? THAT’D BE BECAUSE THIS ISN’T SINKING IN WITH SOME PEOPLE. Geez Louise šŸ™„
  10. No, the next session is at Casey on Thursday morning. The Captain’s Run is on Friday arvo in Adelaide (Hisense Arena) and there’s a Family Day at Casey this Tuesday (April 15th) at 9:30am, this replaces the flush run that’s usually at Gosch’s on the Tuesday. The only chance you’ll get to take the kids to Gosch’s on the school holidays is the pre-Freo match Captain’s Run next Friday morning (April 18th) at 10am. As is always the case, this is subject to change, oftentimes with zero notice.
  11. Missing the point
  12. Reposting this in case some of the anti-soccer ball brigade missed it.
  13. Yep. There’s nothing like 8:30am on a Wednesday at the doors of an Aldi to sort the men from the boys. The Boxing Day sales? Pfft amateurs. Out my way, when the ordinarily sweet and friendly Maltese pensioners hear the first crank of the roller door, it’s on for young and old. I used to meet up with a friend on Wednesday mornings, we’d get a coffee and sit and watch the carnage. It was heart in mouth stuff.
  14. No, I’m not. ā˜¹ļø I went to Gather Round the first two years but this year the airfare and accommodation price rises are through the roof, so much higher than the previous two years, therefore it’s out of reach for me and many others in the DA. I’m so disappointed with not being able to go that I’ve emailed Andrew Dillon telling him he’s effectively taking the live footy experience away from the everyday people. I don’t expect a reply but writing it was quite therapeutic.
  15. I really don’t think that adage is meant in a literal sense.
  16. Have you seen the rabid Aldi shoppers when doors open on a Saturday or Wednesday??!! It’s every man for himself, kill or be killed. Elbows flying around indiscriminately, it’s the quick and the dead.
  17. Exactly! The flush runs and captain’s runs aren’t serious training sessions. I get sick of saying this. They are half hour sessions with signatures and selfies afterwards. The boys come out from AAMI where they’ve just had a solid weights session or indoor skills session or hydro session among other things, have half an hour of light work, sign autographs etc. then head back to AAMI to continue their personalised training regimes. People need to let the playing soccer thing slide. The boys are super competitive and get a good run and besides that the soccer game is great for their morale.
  18. But the main session is here. It’s at Casey on Thursday. The captain’s run in Adelaide is the usual sch!tts n giggles captain’s run that happens here (at Gosch’s) the day before GameDay
  19. Reece was working with Jeffo, kicking the ball for Jeffo to mark. Sometimes a high ball marked overhead, sometimes lower for a chest mark. Jeffo seemed fine. He took every mark without issue. He said he no longer has any pain or even a niggle. Before the session I thought it was just wishful thinking on his part that he may be available for this weekend but having watched him train, I’m thinking he might be right. I guess I shouldn’t have called him a delusional [censored]-er šŸ˜‚ although he thought it was funny.
  20. Main session is at Casey on Thursday. They fly out on Friday morning and there’ll be a captain’s run on Friday arvo: Friday, April 11 ā° 3:00pm - 4:15pm āœļø Signatures following the session šŸ“ West Adelaide Football Club, Hisense Stadium, 57 Milner Rd, Richmond SA 5033 šŸƒā€ā™‚ļø Session type: Pre-Game Captain's Run
  21. A little sombre today, but that might’ve been because as they were coming across to the oval huge dark clouds appeared and it felt like the temperature had plummeted. The boys thoroughly enjoyed a… (defibs on the ready?)… soccer match. Yep, a raucous and fun time was had with the round ball.
  22. I did tell Tracc we love him. He clearly thought I said I love you because he answered I love you too. šŸ˜… I also told Goody we love him. Now calm down you lot, you can think a coach needs to be replaced and still love him if for nothing other than he’s our premiership coach.
  23. Kolt definitely back this weekend X has to pass a fitness test on Thursday but is confident for a return this weekend Jeffo also confident for this weekend but that means jack coz he said the same thing last week. Koz not here. He’s not injured or ill, he’s got a family thing.
  24. Spare a thought for our resident Blues supporter @No. 31 whose team is languishing winless at the wrong end of the ladder and whose second team is down there with them 😭 #IfIdon’tLaughI’llCry This morning I told my son if anyone needs me today I can be found moping on the couch. He said ā€œI’m running outta clean jocks n socks, any chance you could mope in the laundry?ā€ I’d put him up for adoption in a heartbeat only I can’t imagine there’d be any takers šŸ˜‘
  25. Watching AJ and wondering why he’s not playing in the seniors.
