Nothing wrong with yelling at the clouds, Kev. Itâs therapeutic. So are voodoo dolls, but theyâre way more fun đ

When were you last at Casey? And was it for the entire two and a half to three hours? Youâve not furnished a training report in ages so I can only assume you donât get down there much nowadays. And thatâs fine, no one expects you to get there. But clearly things have changed since you were last there for an entire session.

Bing181 doesnât seem the type to go at anyone, least of all you. Itâs just a difference of opinion. My old granny in Tipperary used to say the world would be boring if we all thought the same way.

⌠and weâd stay for the entire time, wouldnât we Kev? đ Kev, you know I love you so we might just have to agree to disagree on this one. đđ˝

I agree itâs the program. What I donât agree with is expecting to see anything of substance at the S&Gs runs at Goschâs. Thatâs not the purpose of those runs. If what we see at Goschâs for 10 mins in terms of goal kicking practice was all they were doing of course weâd have every right to question that and even be furious about it. But thatâs not what these runs are about. This is how itâs been explained to me and I believe it.

All good, Kev. Iâm only repeating what Iâve been told by coaches and physios and the doc, and by the players who sometimes arenât sure whatâs next in their personal schedule until theyâre told just prior to getting back to AAMI. But I do think weâre looking way too deeply into this. The flush and captainâs runs account for 40-60 minutes per week, thatâs a small percentage of time spent training. Thereâs myriad other forms of training they undertake for many, many hours per week. And we all know the real stuff happens behind locked gates at Casey. They also sometimes train somewhere in Port Melbourne. Idk in what capacity, I just know they do. As for how it looks to fans⌠I donât think appeasing spectators is high on the agenda, nor should it be IN MY OPINION.

I agree with this, except itâs not one or even a handful of players, itâs the whole team, which is baffling.

Unfortunately folks thought you were being serious about it being too cold for the players and now thereâs comments about how soft they are.

Itâs known as a recovery run but just this year the coaches and physios etc. have been calling it a flush run.

They actually donât get a choice, theyâre told who goes where, when and what they have to do next. It does look unstructured to us, but itâs actually not. The only reason Iâm bringing this up is because I see people replying/reacting to your post with anger at the thought of the players opting to go inside because itâs too cold. That didnât happen. That would never happen. As far as I know - from what Iâve been told - the only time choice comes into the equation is at the captainâs runs where Max chooses whatâs to be done and by whom. Also, I have a mate who regularly attends training at Casey and she said they practice goal-kicking every session and for a significant length of time.

Nyirripi x Demons t-shirt
Itâs a great t-shirt but I think there were many leftovers because theyâre $70 each.

I also agree with some of what PF says. Itâs the relentless repetition that does my head in. And heâs not alone in this respect; there are some folks on here who just donât let up.

No, Picket Fence is too busy (YELLING THE SAME THINGS OVER AND OVER AGAIN) to be at Goschâs. đ

Hey Kev (long time, no see đ) just wondering who told you they had the choice? I was told a different story.

Not flat at all, DZ. In fact, very upbeat. Positive vibes all âround. The players and coaches and training staff donât dwell on losses and if they do they donât show it* not during the flush runs anyways. They were the same (mood-wise) today as they were following the Lions game. Todayâs soccer match was the most hotly contested Iâve seen. They were very loud and more animated than usual and were thoroughly enjoying it. Apologies to those who hate hearing about the boys kicking a soccer ball around but this is a flush run and kicking a soccer ball around meets the brief in that respect⌠IN MY VERY HUMBLE OPINION. *The only exception to this Iâve seen was the flush run after Gather Round, understandable since it was after the fifth consecutive loss.

No Rick Lever, no Melky. AMW looking good and looking very happy. Doing one-on-ones with a trainer. Spargs running along the boundary, in great spirits.

I told JVR he might need his big boy pants for Monday. He said he hasnât been told yet either way. I said it makes sense to have him selected this week. He said (take a deep breath, PF) âJeffoâs kicked 10 goals in the past two weeks, it will probably be him.â Probably just a coincidence but Jeffoâs not here today.

Clarrieâs not here, nothing to worry about, itâs just that these sessions are tailored to the individuals and Claz is âOff Legsâ today which is sports medicine speak for not running.

The Alice Game
Yeah I watched it on TV and it annoyed me greatly that they neglected to show different sections of the crowd. Itâs particularly annoying because our DA people that made the trip spent much time giving out flags to the adoring fans and setting up a cheer squad, a pretty decent one at that, considering only eight of them were there.

The Alice Game
Again, not true. Sure, some of them may not love it, but the majority do. Maybe in the past players didnât like it, but this current crop certainly do.
