Before last week’s match we (the DA) were saying of the final three regular games, while 3-0 would be absolutely awesome, realistically we should expect, and be happy with, 2-1. Brisbane on their deck is quite the challenge. But it’s not impossible, so ima go with… The Dees by *Tyla Hanks aka the ⭐️ (five points) Brighton homes arena is a special place for us. IMHO Because of their uncontrollability we should only risk sustaining injuries when there’s 4 premiership points at stake. Practice matches aren’t worth 4 points but at least they serve a purpose. This State of Origin match is for sch!tts and giggs only.

Last year they also started back on the 11th of November. In 2023 they started back on the 27th of November, in 2022 it was the 28th of November. It seems making finals determines the recommencement date 🤷‍♀️

The team flies out tomorrow morning. There’ll be a captain’s run tomorrow afternoon at Brighton Homes Arena. *Fun Fact: when playing interstate the team flies out the day before gameday, except for games in QLD or WA when they fly out two days before gameday. For the men, that is. The women fly out the day before gameday regardless of which state they’re playing in.

There’s a camaraderie amongst cheer squads, including even the Magpie Army 😅 We all help each other out when the need arises - especially at interstate and AFLW matches - and there’s a lot of respect. Again, even including the Magpie Army 😅 That’s not to say we don’t occasionally snigger at some of the banners we see (looking at you, Lions. Faded plastic picnic tablecloths as a backing does NOT look good) but on the whole we aren’t enemies.
