And this is why I hate preseason matches and State of Origin matches and every other match that isn’t part of the season proper. Yes, I know this could’ve happened at any stage of any match but it sucks when it happens in a match worth a grand total of zero premiership points.

Poor old Ballarat is stretched to the limit today. Infrastructure is bursting at the seams. They’ve got our match AND the annual Begonia Festival happening at the same time. 😅

I’m fine Big Ghost. But I’ll be even better if we come out of this match free of injuries.

You’re clearly not on the same train as I am. Comfy chairs, yes. But a one hour and 15-min journey turned into a two hour and 15-min hell-ride coz of some track fault issue. I have trouble sitting still for more than two minutes as it is. I guess I shouldn’t have dosed up on Red Bulls beforehand. Seeing quite a few Tigers fans but not many Dees fans here at Ballarat station. Hopefully the Dees fans are already waiting at the ground.

Similar for me… snacks, Red Bulls and ciggies. 😅 LOL… I have a match-worn jumper of Luker’s and I just discovered it has the GPS tracker pocket at the back of the neck, and a packet of ciggies fits perfectly in it 😁

Oi… I’ll have you know that while yes, I was talking to the random dog-walker, it was only because he was peppering me with questions. He claimed to be a Dees supporter and he may well be but he didn’t seem to be across it at all. I was half expecting him to say “… and who’s this Max Gawn guy?”

I found out who decides what’s on the agenda in a captain’s run. As our property manager said… “Max is the last person who’d get to decide.” Wheels said it’s 100% the coaches’ decision. I hope we’re not gonna drag Kingy over the coals for this, as was the case with Goody 🙁

We’re thinking the players who participated today are the squad selected for tomorrow.

Hey @cam.noble1 Leb’s boots are New Balance Tekela. He said they’re no longer available in fluoro but there’s a hot pink pair coming out shortly and he’s gonna be getting a pair. He said they stand out just as much as the yellow ones.

The game is tomorrow, OD. Foxtel/Kayo is the only option for watching it on TV.

It used to be, hence the word “Community” which alluded to a township all getting together for a (token) AFL match, albeit a practice match.

Actually, NC… Clarrie knows only one other person with the same first name as mine. She lives in Shepparton and her surname is Cobbledick. If you do get to talk to him when passing on my best wishes (and love) please be sure you say “… from Gosch’s” so as he doesn’t think it’s the other gal (this has happened before). Thanks x

They have a total of one brain cell between them, the thought of digging themselves out would never cross their teeny tiny minds. They would never wanna leave anyways, they eat better than we do.

But we’re not the only club pulling small crowds. Even the Collingwoods and Carltons attract low numbers. Imo that’s not on the individual clubs, that’s on the AFL.
