  1. "Northey is easily the best coach"..Crap! Sacked @ every club he coached & couldn't get another gig after. A good ordinary coach.
  2. He said DOWN the road, not up the road North. He might be taking the DEMONS south, to the Map.. TASSIE DEVILS.....
  3. Daniel Rich by jase87 on Mon Sep 17, 2007 2:27 am Saw this guy play for Subi seniors today. Not available in this years draft but he made my mouth drop. Absolute gun. Class written all over his every move. Should develop into the perfect rover. I want him 2008 Sponsored Player: Patrick Mcginnity Tearing up Claremont Oval gunning for debut Mike Hussey aint half bad either jase87 EFH Hall of Fame Posts: 1578 Joined: Tue Mar 22, 2005 12:32 pm Location: Kununurra Top Re: Daniel Rich by bono on Tue Sep 18, 2007 5:36 pm yeah i watched the game with my dad and my dads friend who is a teacher at his school apparently he is a very quite kid. another one from sorrento-duncraig like priddis. he was probably BOG in my opinion and would have had about 19 effective disposals out of 20, not bad for a 4 game player. Can't wait to see this lad in action in the AFL, preferrably in WA though... "There's a few other good prospects like big Nick Nat from swannies and a couple of vics but none of them compare to what Daniel Rich brings to the table." "I know it's early but I don't think there is any way in hell that he will be passed over by the team with the #1 pick, It's just unbelievable the kind of football he's playing at such a young age." Re: Daniel Rich by Sico 17 on Sun Apr 06, 2008 3:37 pm "Will need more than Rosa & Hansen for the number one pick. Let me guess Kim Hagdorn suggested that. To get the pick to draft Rich you can say goodbye to Kerr, Cox or Glass." "To show you what the Eagles think their chances are of getting Rich I overheard one of the teams recruiting guys say they haven't bothered doing a profile on Rich because they are no chance of getting him." Re: Daniel Rich by Sico 17 on Sun Apr 06, 2008 5:36 pm "I usually think the same but I would pick Rich over Naitanui." "Naitanui has the athletic abilities but his skills are lacking. He was tried at CHB in the pre season and had no impact, went into the ruck and Swans kicked 3 goals in 5 minutes. It is best to watch him when he doesn't have the ball and he stalks the opponent like a lion on an impala. I can see him playing an Adam Goodes style ruckman/rover role in a few years." "On the same night Rich kicked in from a behind and spotted a man in the centre square on the run. The player didn't break stride, had two opponents close and took two steps then kicked it onto the [censored] of a forward. It was all set up from a 60m flat pinpoint pass from Rich. The thing with Rich was that kick wasn't a fluke but the norm."
  4. from west coast - http://www.eaglesflyinghigh.com/forum/view...=a&start=30 Re: Daniel Rich by Monocle on Mon Apr 07, 2008 10:03 pm I have seen Rich play several times and he is special. I would not be at all surprised if he turned out to be every bit as good as Michael Voss. The kids spatial awareness is breathtaking. Long accurate kick. Courage to burn.
  5. They all have game plans & are tough, but it takes time to find players who can play smart footy & are tough as well.
  6. I read this post as a hypothetical wish list type thing to post a fantasy team of kids?
  7. Why didn't you put a moved sign on the board then Rino?
  8. 'Franky_31', I actually forgot about Bate, I know its been suggested by some @ I agreewith them, I think he could play the lead from the square & mark role. A possible replacement for Robbo if he doesn't lift his workrate.
  9. He trained last night, wednesday evening, & he moved well, but has lost his touch & feel & needs a game or 2 @ the Zebs before he'll be ready. Judging by the way they held Wheels back I'd sday Bate will be @ least 2 away.
  10. Unfortunately 'Franky_31',, I'm with you, I'd love to see Robbo down @ the Zebs where we could be upclose @ personal @ give him some Indian curry from the fence when he refuses to do the 1%s. As yet there's no one who deserves his spot. Newton is BLUDGING A I'm gunna start getting on his case, 'cause I don't wanna see him waste his career.
  11. By the way , ""(Who I thought was Meesen was in a tracksuit with a plastic cast over the ankle. I may be wrong because I dont know what he looks like. Sorry.)"" that's Leigh Newton, the media manager.
  12. Maric to me isn't working hard enough yet & so hasn't earnt the respect to be considered for promotion. As well he's a talent in a small boys skin, Josh Hunt took Morton for a helicopter the other day, well we can't play Maric if it's windy or we may just loose him.
  13. I'm on tyhe same page as you 'doc', but my take is that both positions are important. However we are adequately competative ATM in the ruck division, but struggling in the key posts front & back. Give me either a gun Key posi' player or a gun Quick mid clearance player as our first pick & then I'll shut up. Then I'd like more hard assed mongrel players thanks, 'Doc'.
  14. Cale Morton --- Earl is good what about JJ - cale PJ?- PJ is good enough haha Wonaeamirri --- Aussie Bartram --- Bart or simmo Grimes --- Dirty Newton --- Olivia Mclean --- chook Meesen --- overheard someone calling him Marj. Buckley --- the flying Nun Carroll -- -- xmas Cheney --- Dick McNamara --- Scotty Spencer --- snake Bell --- Dunn --- Loo Naitanui --- Friz
  15. Thanks 'grazman', thats really well put. I wish I could have written that. I don't care that we haven't won a single game as yet, in fact for our long term future's concerned I'm glad. I only want to win not more than 4 games this year, whilst playing Kids. You know, they bust their arses playing & making mistakes & still lose. But in doing so they learn a hell of a lot & get more games experience with the hangers ons retired off. Meanwhile the club can fasttrack the list rejuvenation & with early dibs on quality. We really only need one season down @ the bottom 2 or 3, then next year around 10th.
  16. White's like a squirrel in springtime! All out of Nuts, & looking around trying to find some.
  17. VLAD was a north melb player & as such doesn't want North to be one to move or go under. Obviously he would prefer Melbourne go down as he doesn't like us anyway.
  18. Pick1- Naitanui- gain a cult-figure that will create excitement in the club. Will be grabbed by Richmond if they get the chance. pick2- Daniel Rich- best midfielder in the draft- better than Cotchin and equal of Cooney or any other number1 draft picks of the past pick3- Hurley- Best KPP of the draft ----- Will be snapped up by Carlton if they have the first pick.
  19. I'd like to try Bell up Forward & rest Robbo. In: Martin, Whelan, Jamar Out: Robertson, White B: Carroll, Martin, Whelan HB: Bruce, Rivers, Wheatley C: Morton, McLean, C Johnson HF: Davey, Miller, Sylvia F: Bell, Neitz, Jamar R: PJohnson, Jones, McDonald I/C: Bartram Green Dunn Wonaeamirri ////Robertson, White
  20. Promoting Aussie is a good decision as it helps with the balance of our list, Maric doesn't yet deserve it & I feel Valenti will get his go. Vic Metro supplied four players to the 22-member squad, after it finished second in Division 1 of the national championships behind the undefeated Western Australia. Three of those named captain Jack Grimes, ruckman Matthew Kreuzer and key defender Michael Hurley were from the Knights' TAC Cup under-18 team. It meant Northern provided the most players of any Australian club, with no other side managing more than two. Grimes, who led by example throughout the carnival with his hard-running and neat disposal, was delighted that his... Bailey is nothing like Balme, & is sorting out discipline issues as we speak. We just started seeing some fruits of the efforts against the cats, a more disciplined output from the boys. Don't expect too much in the way of climbing the ladder this year but we will see some heart warming efforts along the way.
  21. Oh [censored] no, he would be a supplement to the full backline of Wheels & Carroll, with Rivers on the H/bline helping that trio.
  22. Nah, thats not what I meant. I didn't mean 'spotting up a target' by disposal, I meant having the vision to see through the traffic to find the right option. Then delivering acurately. Whelan is miles ahead on ability, aggression, hardness, & offence.
  23. I like his enthusiastic attack on the contest & his pace, but he's slow in the mind when it comes to spotting teammates to deliver to. He's also a little loose & perrenially lacks the confidance needed as a defender. When you can see he's getting rushed & panicked, the rest of the team also sees this producing more stress on the whole team. So in short, I think he'll be over taken from within our own list by more composed kids who have better concentration for the task.
  24. I don't think he's not liked by the footy dept'. But he lacks awareness & vision to use the ball, he has trade value while he is in his physical prime. I doubt he'll be with us in 2010.
