  1. Minka, just 2 questions. 1/ How did Grimes go? 2/ Why does it seem to be getting messy (devorce)?
  2. Daniel Bell (hamstring tightness) - test Jack Grimes (back) - available Brent Moloney (shoulder) - season Jared Rivers (abdominals) - 4-6 weeks Russell Robertson (Achilles) - season

I know it's early but I don't think there is any way in hell that he will be passed over by the team with the #1 pick, It's just unbelievable the kind of football he's playing at such a young age." - Thu Dec 13, 2007.. The player didn't break stride, had two opponents close and took two steps then kicked it onto the [censored] of a forward. It was all set up from a 60m flat pinpoint pass from Rich. The thing with Rich was that kick wasn't a fluke but the norm." - Sun Apr 06, 2008.. "Lynch Beast wrote" ::: "Makes the difficult look easy and the impossible look normal. "His kicking is Hodge like but he plays like bloody Kerr, he is just so direct and quick with his movements - busting out of a pack, running through a pack, crumbing a pack or out in space on the run and he still a deadly kick." "With him being fed by Kerr and Masten he would be able to hit up guys like Hurn/Kennedy and Ebert in space on the switch of play, I still remember his kick to a leading Notte in the U18's - on a fast break gets a 1-2 handball and hits Notte 45m away without breaking stride." "Looking at those stats - kicked a goal in every game he played. Weird little arms though, like a T-Rex." "Some times you hope you don't win another game for the season when you take a look at his highlights tape" - Sun Apr 06, 2008.." I've been told, Jack Ziebell is a very good player, but is slow.
  4. Nudge, you sound like Y-M's laconic christian alter ego.
  5. She's got more cohunas than sam mailbagger newman, & most journo's I know of. She says what she believes whether It's popular or not, same with Robbie walls. They just happen to say the painfull truth to often for most one eyed supporters.
  6. We've allready started fresh in 2003, and we're freshening up since, now we're extending the house to fit our kids in their own rooms. Some of these kids will be tradesmen, some will be lawyers & some will be bankers, & some will have to get out when old enough to go rent.
  7. Look whats happened to the Eagles without their star running players, look at the Saints not dominating the middle, look at the Bombers, did you see the Tiges on the weekend get smashed in the 2nd half by a dominant group of Crows running players?,. We need to build on our midfield stocks to add some who can win their own hardball & also deliver pinpont to the forwards 1st up & we need another pick around 10 - 15 for a Key Forward, then more Key forwards further down the draft for insurance. Hopefully we'll grab Robbie Warnock via tradeing someone?
  8. Daniher was not a good judge of a real footballer, IMO.
  9. The way we're playing I think they can all wear our original jumper but way oversized down to their knees & they might as well wear the shorts over their heads as camoflauge.
  10. Nah silly, the pushbike rode itself , I think I may need a lay down between now & next tuesday,,, can someone give me a wake up call...
  11. Maybe Jaded is from Beijing, 'you sweet littal orange blossom'.
  12. 'Maybe next year', maybe you should call yourself 'near enough good enough'.
  13. Yes, I agree 'Yze_Magic'. If it is ruptured it will be very difficult for robbo, (who relies on his 'spring & sprint off the mark to win the footy) to recover & it may well be allover.. I hope not as this would be a sad day for his exit from the game.
  14. I agree, I can't stand the thing. I'm find myself starting to understand eddie everywhere's thoughts re the clash strip idea. Lets go back to our good old demons jumper & stuff the clash strip idea.
  15. Who would you give up the number 1 pick for? Er, ah, I'd give up Nicholas Naitanui for finishing 4th bottom with 5 wins should just about do it, & we get to pick a player thats only a little less of a player. Oh, & I think I must really barrack for the eagles. Or do I.
  16. My impressions of the folowing :- I really liked Meesen today. An improvement on the last time I saw him play but looks scared of taking physical hits. Maric has skill but is a long way off. Agreed, lots of talent but needs to work harder finding more of the ball. Cheney got involved in the second half. Looks a likely prospect. Didn't disgrace in the firsts & will improve. Buckley finds the ball very well, but turns it over. However don't dismiss the ability to win the footy. That said, I'm still dubious. Needs to get harder at the contest & also he runs out of puff. He really needs to put in a massive preseason building his engine, & I'd like to see him do some serious boxing after this season finishes to strengthen his core, upper body & leg endurance. It will also help his self confidance. Valenti is capable of playing decent AFL footy. Is ready for a Crack at the Big Time. Martin is ungainly, but a very interesting prospect. Is looking a little unco' as he's being tested in a new role @ CHB. He went OK. Bate was Bate. Played well. Didn't work hard enough. Bode is simply not up to AFL standard. Bodie is a handy fringe player ATM.
  17. The query is not only whether his 'smarts' are good enough, as at the level he's playing at he has a massive physical advantage over the kids he's up against, but this will deminish at the elite level. He also has queries over whether his disposal skills are good enough to stand up to the rapid pressure applied @ AFL level. Rich on the other hand has enormous smarts killing them @ junior level @ at WAFL level last year @ this. Add to this his pace / vision / booming kick & goal smarts, he's a gem. If in the end they were both equal, considered @ the moment, I would go for RICH as the risk is greater for a short ruckman who rests his case on being an athlete, & is not a specialised key forward.
  18. Sandringham Might line up somethin' like this. Bks Bode Lamb Warnock H/B Garland Biddlecombe C Johnson Ctr Bate Summers Buckley H/F Lidell Holland Yze Frs. Newton Sautner Maric Followers Martin Poyas Valenti Interchange (from) Meesen Gilchrist Tregear M Johnston Spencer Weetra Crowe T Johnston Lockwood Plymin
  19. No Nasher, they were before Melb.
  20. 'DeeReaming', hurley is a talent, BUT, he ia primarily made his reputation as a defender, not overly tall, about 192cms, (6'3"), & is playing forward a little it seems this year. We have some players atm of this size that can play forward roles, Bate, Dunn, Newton. WE really lack any sort of Power Forward, we still need to recruit more forwards so we can choose the best & trade the rest, but again like I called for last year re L Henderson, lets get some thoroughbred 196cm type forward. Yes I know we recruited S Martin who I talked up all last year whilst he was a Sandy boy but he's support staff atm. And Zomer is a rookie who is a kid needing to be taught a lot to make up for deficiencies. I'm talking thoroughbreds, 2 from the top 20 picks, (priority pick or earlier &/or 2nd pick).
  21. This is absolute garbage that a lot of supporters are ranting about Garland. The kid was played to early, way undercooked & he didn't disgrace himself, he was just a little raw. He'll be a good player with a little more time & games @ Sandy. He played a beaty this week @ Sandy straight after coming back from the Dees. Really stepped up a level from his previous stint @ the VFL. Lots of respect & backslapping was he givin by his fellow teammates for all to see. He was obviously played early because he is a disiplined player that follows the team plan & has good skills, speed & agility, a lot to build on. He is also is versatile playing on taller or shorter opponents.
  22. Well then if a moderator does this they should let the postor know via contact.
