To be fair, 3 of those were forced due to injury. Of the remaining 4 (Wagner, OMac, Brown, Spargo), who would you have left in the side? I could probably make an argument for giving Brown one more shot, but that'd probably be it.

Florent bounced it twice, so no. Tomlinson, yes
-
Yes please. Mobile, athletic, and a strong mark. Played his first season as a defender, then went forward last year and kicked 44 goals. Can also pinch hit in the ruck. Massive upgrade on TMac

St Kilda melt thread: https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/round-14-2020-melbourne-v-st-kilda.1246398/ Enjoy! ?

Re Viney you could see when they were heading off that he was pretty keen to get back to the rooms and just before they formed the circle he ducked though the door behind them. Obvious [censored] break
-
I haven't read everything so apologies if already said, but I reckon that brain fart at the end of the 2nd, probably gave us the kick up the bum needed to control the game when required in the last

Let's not add layers of detail and speculation to what at this point is nothing more than a rumour, from someone who posts a lot of rumours.

I'm still wondering how he wasn't already suspended. He had the fine from earlier in the season after pushing Witherdens head in the ground, then got two $1000 fines for striking Witts & Collins. Witherden, Witts, Collins = three. Did they only count the latter two as a single offence 'cause it happened in the same game? ?

Meanwhile, they have quietly swept under the carpet that Dahlhaus was only given a week for his sling tackle. I was a little conservative with our win margins. ? Really just wanted to see the W/L

Sorry if already posted (Edit - yep, it was ?), but now all fixtures are up we can finally play around with this... https://predictor.squiggle.com.au/ Tipping us to win all remaining games and auto tipping the rest, I came up with this: W L D 1. If you have time and haven't already seen, check out the "Captains Run" videos they put up each week on the club website. Co-hosted by Max & Gus and they are both really good. Episodes range from ~40 - 60 mins and they talk about what is going on around the club, upcoming or just played matches, have a news segment with Ben Gibson and speak to past players.. etc
-
In addition to this there is also a fair chance both the Bombers (v Tigers) and GWS (v Eagles in Perth) lose next week, so if we beat the Dogs that'll create a nice gap between us and ALL of our closest competitors.
-
Do you mean one dimensional? Cause if not, he's barely missed a game since coming back from his concussion issues.
-
I hope Viney coming in for Hannan sees him spending more time forward and Brayshaw stays in the middle, rather than the other way around.
-
I hope we are all back here post game questioning why he hasn't been played before now, as we did with Weid. C'mon Preuss!
-
Given Grundy is in dire need of a rest, would they give it to him this week, knowing our #1 & #2 options aren't playing?
-
Pretty risky by the filth, resting Moore & Reid when they are already missing Howe, DeGoey, Treloar, Pendlebury, Elliott & Hoskin Elliott. If Adelaide can get up tonight, and we can take the filth down on Saturday, we'll be in the 8 on Saturday night. C'mon Crows!!

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - SAM WEIDEMAN
JTR replied to xman97's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's all between the ears for Weids. Almost a given that if he misses one early, he'll miss more. Hopefully that late one will help him get the confidence back cause he's killing it everywhere else. -
And Oliver got 1 of our 3 from opening bounce
-
If not already mentioned, Lever is vice captain
-
If you are so inclined, you can view the umpire appointments for current or previous rounds here: https://aflua.com.au/umpire-appointments/ #31 was the worst of the three in our game last week. Hopefully he has received a bit of 'feedback' re his performance
-
With Viney out now is a good opportunity for Harmes to remind them that the 2018 version is far superior and more valuable to the team than whatever they've been doing with him since. We are not a top of the table side that has the luxury of being able to take players away from their best position to experiment with them elsewhere.
