  1. I for one am quite glad that we dont have our players exposed to their (potentially) disease riddled backline. Let Carlton be the guinea pigs.
  2. The only player that has been deemed "close contact" is Stewart, who was apparently his wrestling partner. I guess snotting/spitting, wiping his nose and grappling with players during training doesn't count. ?
  3. If you were sitting in your car when it was raining which would get you more wet? Window most of the way up (supermarket screen) or window all the way down (no screen)?
  4. He probably assumed that our game vs Bombers would be played at some point next week and they'd then need to push out Cats game to give us a proper break?
  5. How is it that many of the same people who criticise the club for gifting players games, are now getting into another tizzy when they don't? Demonland is so confusing sometimes.
  6. And Port say nope.... https://www.portadelaidefc.com.au/news/718636/chairman-s-message-update-on-prison-bar-guernsey-petition "To avoid any confusion, let me present some facts to you. At no stage did the current Board of the Port Adelaide Football Club sign a “once and done” agreement with the AFL to enable us to wear our black-and-white Prison Bar guernsey in our 150th year. FACT. In fact, the Collingwood Football Club were prepared for Port Adelaide to wear this guernsey in both 2020 Showdowns, on the condition that we would sign off on it being the last time and no more. FACT. Subsequently, we refused to sign off on anything preventing us from wearing this guernsey beyond 2020 with “the parties agreeing to defer further consideration of that issue to a later point in time.” FACT. Therefore, we are doing exactly what was agreed, picking up the conversation to be able to wear the black-and-white Prison Bar guernsey in Showdowns ongoing. And we are not asking to be the Magpies in the AFL. FACT. All we are asking is that we are able to wear our black-and-white Prison Bar guernsey in all Showdowns moving forward"
  7. They did the song again once Max (along with Tomlinson, Hunt & Langdon) came in and they realised their mistake. Complete non-issue, however I acknowledge people here need their fix of outrage after missing out for 13 weeks so have at it.
  8. To go from 42 points up and on fire to meekly limping over the line is certainly cause for serious concern, but I'm gonna reserve judgement till after next week. First game back after 13 weeks off in isolation and prior to that having played just one game in anger since last season isn't exactly a normal situation. I'm gonna call it rust. Very bad rust
  9. Interested in some early thoughts from the Demonland armchair selection committee...
  10. Any idea if Pickett played?
  11. There are "approved" locations they are allowed to be. No doubt that was swiftly added... ?
  12. Statement on MFC site says both caught an uber to unessential gathering. No mention why the difference in suspension length. Both are allowed to play in scratch match https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/704946
  13. 9 news said visiting friends Spargo - 2 weeks Pickett - 1 week
  14. Bennell & Jones both high half forward
  15. Sitting in on the Mahoney zoom meeting which is on right now (Gawn last night and Goodwin night before) Just said Hunt will be playing forward.
  16. I am VERY excited with all our ins this week, but MFCSS dictates that I should be a little nervous about having 3 x first year players in there at the same time, along with another who has only played a couple of games in a few seasons.
  17. Was Harmes played down back most of the game?
  18. Probably this, looking at the shape of it... https://www.ausleisure.com.au/news/casey-fields-to-receive-8-million-venue-upgrade-in-support-of-elite-womens-football/
  19. Ex-pat NZ'er here so it's basically a requirement. Happy to head over to BBO's though. Was he the one that lived on a sheep farm? Asking for a friend...
  20. I'm the same. Definitely thought "no way" when first heard the idea, but having watched the NRL I'm now convinced it'd at least be worth trying out. Dunno if the "baaaallllllll" would work or not (and when trys were scored in the league it didn't sound quite right so goals in AFL probably similar), but it was the background noise during general play that I think really helped improve the atmosphere and overall experience when watching on telly.
  21. Yep. Luck aside, it's all between the ears now. We have the cattle. Look at Richmond... I still cant bring myself to consider their players of the last few seasons as actually being any good. Outside of the "Big 4" the core group has been the same bunch of players that many would have considered fairly ordinary pre-2017. Now look at them. They have belief, a good system, ridiculous luck with injuries (and the MRP) and they are flying. That can be us.
  22. We knew all of this yesterday, and in the days before that. The game was as much a waste of time then as it is now, so not sure why the big shift here to not play other than the as yet unconfirmed report that we moved hotels and some players were sick. Everyone else has got to see their team play. I want my turn. It'll be the last time for a while
