  1. Yeah of course, but they could all have gone at No 1, it seems to me this draft is a race in 2 then the rest, the Judd draft was super draft. Hop ether is a Bont or a Judd available at 3.
  2. Im not really across who the kids are and where they stand in the order, but i only know that the top 2 are the standouts.
  3. Yep, all good and valid points. My understanding is that Picks 1 7 @ are clear standouts, then its throw a blanket over the rest, if suns get PP1 (Which i doubt they will, but you seem very confident and have no reason not to believe you) then is Pick 3 different to Pick 7?
  4. Yeah you are spot on would love Anderson, so probably future first rounder for Hill,
  5. Yep, thats a perfect summation and great discussions. Im no expert on points so its a good explanation. And i would happily give up a future first rounder.
  6. It is, Sorry, no one of any note, it was just a reply to a question from AFL trade account. Thought it seemed like a pretty logical deal.
  7. Just saw on twitter that Pick 2 and Pick 20 - Freo Hill & Pick 7 - Demons. would deal.
  8. Im in for Brad Hill, no use saying he costs to much when he is the exact player we have lacked for a long time. I am also in for young talent, we haven't acquired enough top end talent my opinion, so can we turn Pick 2 in to 2 picks inside the top 10? i have no idea who might have multiple picks inside the top 10 but thats the way this might please everyone.
  9. Yep, that is true, and we as Demon supporters know it as much as anyone but my point has always been that we paid to much for Lever hence making it a very ordinary transaction and we are yet to really get any benefit from it.
  10. Lol. Move on Moony, you will never agree with anyone but yourself so its a waste of time interacting with you.
  11. Exactly, he cant play one on one, has never been able to do so. Essentially he is Marty Hore, but a worse Kick.
  12. All evidence would suggest they didnt. Especially the main bit if evidence.. nothing has changed. If they did, they did a damn lazy half hearted shockingly inept, unprofessional review. SO maybe you are right.
  13. lazy way at looking at it, look at who went after those picks in 2017, Jack Higgins, Ed Richards, Oscar Allen any of those 3 would be pretty handy dont you think? that is why it should always have been a future first rounder.
  14. You think its ridiculous and that's fine, i don't, i think we paid overs for him and have yet to reap any rewards for it. 2 first round picks was to much. He may well be a future captain, he seems to be a great fella, speaks well, does lots of things right, but he was NOT worth 2 first round picks.
  15. Watch us hand over a future first rounder for him aand give them Billy Stretch or ANB but we will pay their existing contract out, while the Saints get Matt Crouch for a second rounder plus Eddie Betts.
  16. I think we are being incredibly tough on Jack Viney. his finals last year coming off very little preparation were pretty amazing really, i remember thinking a leader can be many things, and his actions on field show why. He is young, and he has been hampered by injuries the last few years. Right now, i think we dont have any other options, and a great leader is usually supported by a great cast, we dont have that either. Gawn yes. but in reality Nathan Jones should now be concentrating on his footy,, its clear he cant do both that well at the moment, Jordan Lewis has hardly been in the side, neither Lever or May or Jetta. Brayshaw has not got one ounce of leadership in his body, Clayton is not a leader nor should he be, Tom Mc has had a year from hell, Trac is to immature and inconsistent, Harmes is good player, but thats not an automatic reason to suggest he is a leader. Who else is there.. honestly.
  17. 100% the Lever acquisition is going to hurt the club. Its nothing against Jake, but it was derelict of the club to give up 2 first round picks for him, absolutely jumped at shadows. His return has been average at best and unlucky as well with injuries but i saw nothing in his games prior to his Knee injury that screamed we did well and 2 first round picks were appropriate.
  18. i understand that, but many still are, Tom Mitchell is an in and under player, won a brownlow, Luke Shuey ha splayed in the middle all his career.. because he is good at it.. there are heaps of players that really can only play one position but its ok because they are good at it, that is Gus, if a player has a definitive strength, a strength that saw him have a breakout year and finish 3rd in a Brownlow Medal, you would think the club would play to those strengths. Why on earth has the club messed with that formula.
  19. Which probably indicates he is being played out of position yeah? he is a specialist inside mid, yet has played outside on wing and HB for a lot of the year.
  20. Fair comments, and yep, it might be the full stop too 2 very different seasons! Has been really disappointing though, and i acknowledge he has been played out of position but still a shame after a such breakout season in 2018.
  21. To me it honestly looks like Gus is a player who has lots on his mind, almost like a player who knows there might be some chance he is not at the club next year. There seems to be very little care or responsibility in his game, constant kicking without looking, lack luster tackle pressure, poor decision making, sluggish, handballs over his head. I think he is a player who would have huge currency, and even through all that im not sure i would want him not playing for us.
  22. Ironically i think he is playing ok at the moment and is smart enough to have demanded the footy up fwd, sucked a couple in and generally going ok. Should play on Houli this weekend.
