The problem we have had against Collingwood in the past is that most of level 1 ends up being reserved seating and for whatever reason the sound from level 1 sounds best at the ground and is also closest to the broadcasters microphones, so it has always sounded far more pro Collingwood. this year we have an additional 4 bays of Melbourne only reserved seating on level 1 and these seats were snapped up within three days of being put on sale. There is this misconception by pessimist like Old Dee that there are going to be 70,000 Collingwood supporters on Monday and 15,000 of us. This is [censored]. We have approx 13k reserved seating areas which will be full, the MCC will be 75% Melbourne (approx 16k) plus around 30% of reserved seating will be bought by us (aligned with Anzac eve). This excludes the minimal support we have in the afl reserve and the small amount of GA areas that people have purchased tickets to. by my reckoning there will be at least 35k Melbourne support on the day hopefully judging 40k. Yes there will still be more of them and they are a hell of a lot louder, but we will still turn up. We haven’t had a QB home game at the g for 5 years too.

No they didn’t, it wasn’t even close. 50k was perfectly acceptable on a cold Friday night with two teams in [censored] form. (12k above our average against Carlton since 1997) Our fan base is very quiet as always but the entire northern stand was red, it just doesn’t seem that way on tv.

What They Are Saying At Princes Park
FearTheBeard replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
What they are saying in Demonland: • this is the week Harry kicks straight isn’t it. feels like this is one of the most negatively built up games from both supporter bases. -
I tend to agree with the people saying that if we lose to Carlton there will be a large drop off which I think will only affect MCC walk up areas. People that have paid for reserved seats are still likely to go and I think our Reserved seat areas will be over 90% full regardless. One thing that is forgotten is that Melbourne hasn't had a Queen/King's birthday home game at the MCG since 2018. I think it will end up around 84,000 but could be as low as 75 and high as 88.

No, I am of the sack goodwin and yze brigade and that this list isn’t good enough to win a flag. Doesnt stop me from attending 21 games this year tho and barracking my heart out for the club. You’re go to is to say you don’t want to go to games because something is always too difficult
-
Because you just breathe negativity, not sure I’ve ever seen you say anything nice about football or our club. Maybe you are a closet rugby lover.

4th v 10th is hardly two top 4 teams. 29K against Fremantle for us is great, especially when richmond got 30K against Port with 30,000 more members.

Where are all the people

Melbourne reserved areas in the GSS are M13-M16 so you wont be too far away. Probably a 70:30 split in M10 Collingwood's way, similar to Anzac Eve. There are going to be lots of us there, dont think it will be 70K of them. Expecting 40K of us and 45K of them with the rest neutrals.

2 options for you I think, one is to put your membership barcode into Ticketek and click Melbourne supporter allocation and there are still some tickets available (around 200): second is find someone who has MCC guest passes and they can get you tickets (i can help with this one if you’d like)
-
Ye they are the unsold reserved seats. Collingwood are doing the same thing in the ponsford. can imagine there’s going to be more than one person that rocks up on the day and tries to scan in with an error message
-
They put these on sale last night at 10pm, was nonsense that they don’t let members know
-
Just bought a couple MCC guest passes for @DubDee, the PAX number on the tickets are 83,000 which means 83,000 tickets have been sold (including our reserved seat members) with MCC walk ups (around 8k) to be added on the day. 90k a real possibility

If anyone has missed out I am happy to help out, have access to 10 more guest passes in the MCC and about 30 in the AFL reserve (still standing room available), just let me know before everything is sold out
-
No, you cannot scan in on the day with a normal GA membership for Kings Birthday, that is the whole point of a fully ticketed event. The only tickets already counted as already sold for this game are reserved seat members. This was a decision not made by the club and there is not much that they can do about it.
-
Agreed but we do have the extra three bays of reserved seats for our members which catered to an extra 2.5K of our GA members.
-
As a full MCC you can walk up on the day and access the walkup areas on level 1, 2 and 3 just make sure you get there early. I would go as the gates open at 11:30 and get you seat and then have lunch on Swan street.
-
Ye it’s gonna be such fun in the afl isn’t it lol.
-
If you need help I can get you MCC guest passes which are still available for level 4 or walk up on the day. Just hit me up and can work something out
-
Well the game is on June 12 lol
-
Is this afl membership?
-
AFL reserve already is just about sold out, only single seats Level 4 Back and Restricted view available with them selling standing room. MCC reserved seating areas are nearly sold out on Level 4, probably another 3-5 days before they are all gone (Currently up to row AA in Q37-Q40 with Q41-Q48 sold out. GA areas on the day I believe are going to be Q1-Q3 rows Q-DD and Q49-Q55 rows AA-MM. Expecting it to be around 86K

4 angry and feral demons in P25 with me, gonna be full of black and white and very loud.
-
For those that have purchased a General Admission ticket on ticketek, there will be GA available in Q1-Q3 rows Q-DD and Q31-Q35 rows AA-MM. Please don't think you cannot enter the ground; this is separate from Melbourne GA members that need to purchase a reserved seat. Melbourne members can upgrade to a reserved seat for $18, yes it is not great, but it guarantees you a seat
