TICKETING: SF vs Carlton
Collingwood would have had 80% of the AFL reserve and we had 80% of the MCC. That's not why the crowd was so one sided. The club allocations start at 50:50 but do not finish at 50:50 because bays get reallocated. Calrton ended up with 70% of the public reserve and so they will have around 70% of the crowd.

In theory they run out of walk up spaces, but pretty sure they will let you in and stand on level 1 because the MCC doesn't sell standing room until the GF.

People reserve on Level 4 but choose to walk up and take a level 1/2/3 seat - hence double dipping because they have two seats and dont use the ones on level 4. As of last year, on Grand Final day, if you were successful in the MCC GF ballot you could not enter the ground until after 12pm. As such, they deactivated the member barcode that was attached to the reserved seat in the ballot. Otherwise, a member with a reserved seat from the ballot could walk up and take a better seat on the day.

Their current system for Grand Finals is that if you have a reserved seat your barcode is deactivated until 12pm so you can't walk up to level 1,2 or 3.

Yep plenty of double dipping in the MCC for both games last week

We are going to be outnumbered at least 60,000 to 30,000 only saved by the 15K of us in the MCC

AFL reserve down to standing room only already.

You can jump onto the virtual venue: https://mcg.io-media.com/web/index.html Select your bay and closest row and then find the row you are in and count the seats :). Having just looked for you, there are 23 seats in that bay at row V, However, Q1 has a tiny one seat section next to it, so you may be one seat off the aisle.

They split the bays on level 4 into 3 sections. In the southern stand it would be (using Q2 as an examples): Q2 - Rows A-J Q2-1 Rows K-T Q2-2 Rows U-DD They essentially reflect the categories of the tickets, so Q2-2 I think is category 7?

Have a look a the pictures I posted a few pages back, it shows the normal allocation and the second picture is the premium allocation.

Half of M54 is now a Melbourne bay

It is sound, the Premium allocation category 1 seats were available until 11am

We had more level 2 and level 2A seats than they did in the Southern stand, they all went first. N54 and N55 would have been our two most popular bays, likely the Trident members that want to sit where they normally sit.

M52-M54 are Carlton bays. M56 is mixed.

No I work for EY lol, maybe being an auditor is worse and probably drives my passion for working out all of Ticketek's dirty secrets.. I would have said that M12 is alright tho?

TICKETING: SF vs Carlton
Right but you got in after an our, and category 1 seats were still available. That's why our bays are being re-allocated.

Nearly. N15-N22 and N26-N28 is Medallion Club, N23-N25 is AFL reserve (dining/Platinum allocation) N52-N57 is club members, N49-N51 is a mix of dining bays and corporates. N48 is MCC.

People cant get in yet, fine. But we are an hour in and the best level 1 bay in our allocation (M50) is still available.

TICKETING: SF vs Carlton
For what its worth, the Carlton allocation has sold much faster than Collingwood's did. Remember what it was like for us in 2018, its what they are going through now.

Nope I agree with it, if our supporters are so fickle and don't want to go then it should be a big [censored] you to the club about the way we play.

I have no idea what their basis is, but it will be something to do with the amount of tickets that have been purchased in each allocation. Unfortunately ours have been really slow, even if you get in now there is plenty available in M50 and M13. Imagine there will be a big drop off of our members after 3 finals losses in a row at the G unfortunately. No doubt theyd all be begging for a GF ticket if we made it. In 2018 the same thing happened where we were reallocated many Geelong bays.
