Does not appear to be the case, especially with Hawthorn having all of Level 1, 2 and 2A in the Olympic and Shane Warne stand as their reserved seating as well as some level 4 areas and some level 2 in the Ponsford. Think we will outnumber them anyway on the day.

As I said before, level 2a in the afl was a lot more even than level 1. Only time the afl is particularly unpleasant is against Collingwood. The Richmond fan base were very quiet and down last night I thought.

Ye I reckon it’ll be 33k, Saturday nights aren’t good for crowd drawing. It’ll have an interstate vibe to it I reckon, not many of them at all

Ticketing 2023
Anyone thinking 40K against North Melbourne is dreaming, they will bring a max of 5K, not like Sydney who brought 10K. King's Birthday should get close to 90K if we could get 84K against a struggling Richmond.

Ticketing 2023
nah not even close to correct. AFL reserve we are always outnumbered, would have been about 40K of us, 35K of them and the rest neutrals. Mcc was a 90/10 split our way, level 2A of the AFL was about 60:40 to them and level 4 GA areas were completely red. Our reserved seat areas were also 95% full. At a minimum we had 10K in our reserved seat areas, 18K in the MCC, 10K in GA/level 4. already at 38K with that. Northern side of the ground was nearly entirely Melbourne. Very difficult to judge when sitting in the AFL reserve because it feels louder for them because that's where they are sitting. Even the Level 1 reserved seats for general public had at least 25% Melbourne support in them.

They opened up afl members level 4 back to general admission overflow which is why it was full.

In response to your other question, yes the reserved seat would remain empty. it is highly unlikely that we outnumber Richmond. If we can break even that will be a good effort. I am thinks 35k of us and them and around 5k neutrals.

Yes i have read that, I am asking which bay it is in. Suspect its M53 which has not gone on sale and has been empty at both our home games.

Membership Tally 2023
Has anyone purchased a blockbuster membership and willing to share where on level 1 they are located? Imagine its M53 or M4? Richmond selling the blockbuster membership and they have Q15-Q12 for their seats.

Parking at the G
parked at the g for a game against the suns in 2013, we could have had the whole gate 3 parking lot to ourselves :) Dees got done by 60 points too.

Membership Tally 2023
I am not arguing for people to buy reserved seats though? I am saying the club needs to give a greater incentive for people who dont want/cant afford the $550 for a demon seat plus membership to be able to buy more affordable reserved seats for bigger games. 4 level 1 wing reserved seats are nearly $300 with the service fee for our home games.

Gather round ticket wanted
Keep checking ticketek, expect on Thursday for a few tickets to go on sale :)

No it does not work like that. GA areas are parts of the ground where you will be able to walk up on the night and sit anywhere in those bays. However, for games like Anzac Eve and Kings Birthday all of level 1 will be pre-purchased reserved seating and parts of level 4 will be too. The MCG puts the GA areas up on its website 24 hours before the game. The Demon Army will likely have all of bay M3 reserved for the Demon army and Melbourne supporters so you may be able to sit there. If you want to make sure that you are close to them, reserve a seat in bay M2 which still has a little bit of availability. The GA areas for Anzac Eve will likely be all on level 4: Q49-Q55 rows AA-MM, Q1-Q7, Q8-Q15 rows K-MM, Q29-Q36 (Based on current ticket sales)

Membership Tally 2023
I'm more talking about people looking on ticketek at reserved seats for individual games rather than buying a reserved seat membership. I don't expect people to reserve seats for smaller games and I think its wrong to have any reserved seat areas when they expect less then 30K but that's for a different discussion. But for a game against richmond, it is $70 to reserve a level 1 wing seat (which is actually forward pocket M8-M11 or M54-M57) for this game whereas other clubs charge $60 for them. Same applies for all levels of seating. I

Membership Tally 2023
Couldn't agree more we have the same 25K that seem to go to games regardless of the membership size. I would suggest at least 15-25K of the members are on 3 or 6 game memberships. Surely these people would pick Anzac Eve and King's Birthday as the games to go to. Would be great to get 40K of us to both these games and get both games over 80K. Also note that the price of reserved seats at Melbourne home games at the MCG is more expensive than all other clubs by around 10%. Our fanbase doesn't like to reserve seats so at big games they all end up on level 4 and the noise isn't as loud when we score. Potentially if they lowered the prices by more for our GA members they would be more willing to reserve seats.
