https://www.afl.com.au/news/568520/secrets-to-success-every-club-s-cbas-kick-ins-for-r1 St.Kilda's midfield vs GWS: Steele, Clark, Gresham, Bytel, Ross, Sinclair, Higgins Quite frankly Freo's is superior: Fyfe, Brayshaw, Cerra, Serong, Mundy Also Howard, their KPB takes the kick-ins (yes I know May takes ours) - I think this should be exploitable given the new rules. KPF can either get outside 50 to create the turn-over mark, or get back in behind to receive a turnover kick-in when Howard follows through on the kick-in.

Richmond supporters hated Jason Castagna - now 3x Premiership player.

We don't win last Saturday without Oliver.,
-
Nothing's changed - you're still whinging even when we win.

Looking at the last full season in 2019, Charlie Cameron was the only small forward to average 2 or more goals per game. Michael Walters averaged less - is he a dud too? You have no idea what you're talking about.

Freudian slip?

Hoping for an old fashioned wet weather slog for the Saints today.

Spargo played very well.
-
Were you watching the much-maligned Charlie Spargo at all yesterday? Directly responsible for 3 goals hitting targets inside 50 and kicked one himself - that's more than 1/3rd of our goals scored. And we specifically picked up Bowey and Laurie because they have this trait.

People complain that we're a one trick pony and then complain when we win easily without using the trick. It's not same-old same-old in the midfield, Yze is trying some very different mixes which is great to see. Freo has a strong midfield with two time Brownlow, reigning Rising Star, Cerra and Brayshaw. It's worth noting that the maligned Goodwin-Mahoney team brought Lever, May and Tomlinson to the club. TMac and Spargo were pretty good too, eh? Lighten up and enjoy a solid win by more than a third of Freo's score going away in the last 20 minutes which we dominated.

You need to buy a Carlton membership genius.

Selection is pretty much as expected. I'd prefer Chandler to Sparrow but that's small beer. I don't rate Baker. We have gone for seasoned experience to run out the full 120 minutes on a warm day. Speed doesn't help much when you're bent over panting hand on hips in the last 5 minutes of every quarter.

Yeah I get it, the usual suspects backtracking on their "OMac has no AFL attributes" line and now it's "He was misused by Goodwin" It's like shooting fish in a barrel.
-
Well that sounds like a sensible choice. But how about you leave off and let the rest of us who are excited to see MFC at the MCG for the first time in 18 months enjoy it?
-
Hey old mate - are you going?

He's their only tall emergency. Oscar is tall depth at Carlton. People here talk him up as being a capable AFL player. Like Mitch Brown and Majak Daw.

Or mirrors ...

"Still, a man hears what he wants to hear And disregards the rest" Simon's press conference was absolutely fine to me. He was smiling, upbeat and positive. From much the commentary here I was expecting a Rhyce Shaw 2020 performance.

The Ponsford could be nice and cool if it is 27C as predicted. The PRE can get pretty warm this time of year.

Against coaches who were in the job for the entire 4 years so far, Goodwin is 0-5 vs Hardwick 1-5 vs Scott 1-4 vs Longmire 2-4 vs Simpson 2-4 vs Buckley 2-3 vs Hinkley 2-2 vs Fagan 2-2 vs Cameron 3-2 vs Clarkson 3-2 vs Beveridge 3-1 vs Worsfold 5-0 vs Dew

Malty still salty about how his glowing Mark Neeld reference turned out at MFC. He hates us.

Williams was very positive about Weid - comparing him to early Tredrea and Chad Cornes. Brendan McCartney was also a big Weid fan. I'm keen to see what he can produce this year.

I wonder if anyone pulling a 4 week hamstring will hit their head on the way down and be out with concussion?

There's an emergency every week that's held over for the match in case there's illness overnight or an injury in warm up. This is a non issue.
