  1. I suspect we wanted to trade 18 and 19 for one of Essendon's 3 top 10 picks. So they could offer a top 10 and 18 for Dunkley. Thanks would have been the ideal outcome IMO. Now it's messy.
  2. Right now we've got: 2nd round: 25, 28 3rd round: 50 4th round: 68, 69 How about you wait until the cake is fully baked ...
  3. Geelong traded 30 to North for Shaun Higgins. Let that sink in!
  4. That's crazy good if true. Even the 4th round steak knives are surely in our favour! Norf - death riding our future fourth now :)
  5. The Dogs will want more points premium than that - they're currently 600 short of a bid for JUH at pick 1. The best bet for them would be 14 + a fringe player for the 1800 pints they need. For example 14 + Ed Richards for 28 + 33 + 43 + 50 would get them there.
  6. It wouldn't surprise me if all big Collingwood contract have to be approved by Ed.
  7. Start with his own - apparently he was a key driver of the Beams return which caused most of this
  8. Nevermind - I see now it's a view toggle at the top of the list. Condensed view / Expanded view. thanks
  9. I'm not a big fan of the new Desktop Topic format. I like the previous one - simpler.
  10. "but the Demons have since focused their attentions elsewhere" Interesting comment ...
  11. The pick swap can be done any time up to Draft night and actually on Draft night - I don't expect that to happen in the Trade period.
  12. Agreed. The only reason to care is what picks we have left after the trade to upgrade into this year's first round. That's what's holding this up from getting done IMO. We've worked hard to maximise our mid-range 2020 picks and we want to use that effectively.
  13. I don't want to see Carlton benefit but it would be a laugh if Dodoro lost Saad through the PSD and didn't get Dunkley or Caldwell.
  14. North's future second is very likely to be 19. Brown + 19 for 31 + 33 - I doubt it ...
  15. Yes Hogan for 6 and 23 - good dictation there Belly.
  16. I think that at least a 50% possibility.
  17. It's a process - it's possible but unlikely we're going to jump from 9th to the flag next year. We do need to show progress on that journey though i.e. top 4-6 finish.
  18. We can do both. 2021 is top 4-6 finish as stated by Bartlett. Improvement achievable with the addition of Ben Brown and general increasing maturity of our list. 2022 add Z.Merrett or Treloar - push for flag.
  19. They have to be equal going into the draft - there's water to flow under the bridge.
  20. Yes that would work, but it would be generous of us. However they need to have as many list vacancies as they have picks going into the draft so that may be tough for them to have 6 vacancies. The other option open to them is to go into points deficit in 2021 if they use all their 2020 picks. Freo did this 2019 to 2020 - the deficit comes off the first pick so Freo's 2020 1st rounder has been pushed back a couple of slots by that.
  21. AFAIK they've got 14 (1161), 41 (412), 54 (220) = 1793 this year If JUH gets bid at 1 by Adelaide they need 2400, i.e. they're 600 short. They need to make that up with some combination of: Trade 14 at a premium for more points than its value Trade a player for a pick this year Trade a 2021 pick for a 2020 pick Go into deficit in 2021 (which comes off their first pick)
  22. They will if they can get a premium of points - that the AFL allow.
