TRAINING: Friday 2nd December 2022
Some really great photos there. The Bowey kick and Viney mark with the terrace houses in the background are both superb. They capture the exact moment in precise focus.

Rubbish assessment. Jefferson won't make any impact until September 2025, which is fine.

Michael Hibberd & Jake Melksham - 1 Year Extensions
Yes my understanding it's straight after DFA 1 on 10 November and before DFA 2

Michael Hibberd & Jake Melksham - 1 Year Extensions
Cameron vs Smith In the 2022 QF Cameron kicked 3.1 from 5 disposals, 4 kicks on Hibberd. I don't think Hibbo "got torched"

I doubt Turner can play Hibberd's role, can you see him going with Charlie Cameron?

I doubt very much that Essendon will give us F1st (5-10) + 22 + 54 for 13 + 37. It's bad for them at every point.

Welcome to Demonland Pick 37
I always thought the context of that picture depended how many reps he'd done. He was clearly trying hard and at completion.

My daughter assured me the modern term is "chonky". At 185/87 I'm not implying George is fat. He's likely muscle bound at a young age and that would give him a big advantage in U18 that may not translate.

Thanks Gorgoroth - it was educational. I liked some of it - Black Crow, Tyrants, Ave Danuvi. Suldusk is very accessible and clearly my favourite there - no surprise I guess because she's a bit of an outlier I think. I confess I didn't listen to all the songs on your list in their entirety. Outside of Suldusk, my playlists are unlikely to change, but my Spotify recommendations are likely to be interesting for a while based on the searches I did from your list. I do appreciate there's a place for the genre and if it didn't exist someone would need to make it. Cheers.

I agree with that @Slartibartfast the trade up would have to be for a specific player we target. It's possible that there may be an elite role player (this isn't necessarily an oxymoron) early in the second round. I'm thinking particularly of a Hibberd replacement for example, who is not going to go at the very pointy end but does exactly what is needed for a role. I'm thinking about Hibberd himself at PSD #4 or say Dylan Grimes at PSD #2, recruiters are smarter now and I think they might have gone earlier these days.

Brett Morgen's David Bowie documentary Moonage Daydream is currently on at iMax and it is sensational. A work of art worthy of Bowie's genius:

The Run Home
I think we need to finish on top so we have the opportunity obtain a home Grand Final, we don't want to be playing in Brisbane. At the end of round 9 the situation is: Brisbane: For 490 Against 183 MFC: For 440 Against 183 We broadly need to make up 50 points on Brisbane in the final round, which I think is possible. Brisbane vs Collingwood (5th) at Metricon in Brisbane on Friday night MFC vs West Coast (16th) at Casey on Saturday We'll know what the equation is when we play.

Your club's best 22
That's a pretty rubbish effort. James Harmes has already failed at HB and won't be playing there. The forward line is top heavy and there's at least one too many talls in the 22. Lachie Hunter has arrived to play on the wing and Angus Brayshaw played HB and midfield last year. Yes James Jordon is extremely unlucky not to make the best 26.

87kgs at 185cms is chonky for an 18yo - does George's size give him an advantage at U18 level that may not translate at AFL level?
