The Run Home
We locked in top 8 last night. We can pretty much lock in top 4 with a win over Collingwood next round.

OUR USE OF THE SUB RULE
I think Tomlinson is our most versatile sub.

OUR USE OF THE SUB RULE
Agree, or they should just make it sub at will.

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
One of the best things about this signing is that an intelligent guy like Gus has done full due diligence and chosen MFC over more money and more midfield opportunity elsewhere. That's a huge endorsement of our club.

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Would that be a disaster if he's a triple Premiership player by then?

Farewell Luke Jackson
Freo's 1st, Treacy and Meek - we could do worse ...

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
@Dwight Schrute - well done! Ahead of the curve on this.

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Absolutely fantastic news! The only tiny downside is that both Angus and Clarrie's contract extensions were announced before away games. As @The heart beats truesays, it would have been great to cheer their every touch in a home game immediately following the announcement.

What are the odds of Sportsbet going broke because they get it wrong more of the time?

Have you enjoyed season 2022?
If you're not loving this time then you need to think about your expectations and why you follow the club and the game. We won the flag, something many of us thought we'd never see. Clarrie, Trac and Max have signed on for football eternity, and we're right in the hunt again this year. Who knows, we could be in the midst of 5 in a row. Worst case we'll be a real chance in all of them. These are the great times! If they can't spark enjoyment then seriously consider a different path.

Reigning Premiers and in the hunt again. Seriously - what's not to love?

The Run Home
Win the next two and we will finish minimum 4th. I think that's what happens.

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Absolute rubbish. Like the complacency he showed in the 3rd qtr of last year's GF?

Farewell Luke Jackson
There is NO way JV ignored an option to LJ because he’s leaving for Freo. Viney wants MFC to win more than anything. May and Brayshaw in robust discussion was totally fine. Brayshaw was first to May to console him after his clanger intercepted by Bont. There's no evidence of endemic cultural issues. We've got a envied culture.

The Run Home
Completely agree, 4th is the best place to finish if we can't finish 2nd.

The Run Home
Of course you'd think that, because if doom is in any way possible then you'll embrace it fervently. At the time I posted both Freo andd MFC were at $1.92 for the win, right now it's Freo $1.98 and MFC $1.86. https://www.afl.com.au/fixture?Competition=1&CompSeason=43&MatchTimezone=MY_TIME&Regions=2&ShowBettingOdds=1&GameWeeks=20&Teams=1&Venues=13#byround

The Run Home
The odds against Freo are even and if we beat them in Perth we'll be favourites in the last three. So no.

The Run Home
No drought breaking flag team has gone back to back since Adelaide 1997-8 and Brisbane 2001-3. Before that, you need to go back to Essendon in 1984-5. Plenty have missed this century - Port, Sydney, Geelong, Hawthorn, Collingwood, the Dogs, Richmond. We're seeking to create some history. We've landed the fixture from hell. We'll likely finish 5th, but we can still win it from there. Enjoy the journey - we're reigning Premiers.

Demonstone's and Flaubert's English Grammar for Demonlanders 101
At present these gems are spread out over hundreds of separate topics and that makes them too hard to reference in our time of need.

Farewell Sam Weideman
I think this is worth considering - at least for next year over the summer. Weid struggles to stick contested marks but that's not going to be an issue down back - just needs to neutralise the contest. He can learn the trade from May and Lever. He's a very good kick and his groundball handling and handballing are good. It would solve a heap of list management problems if Weid could make it as a KPB and Petty as a KPF.

I think their careers would have panned out differently if they arrived at MFC now. All could play.
