TRAINING: Friday 16th December 2022
Kye Turner is in the main training group and doesn't look out of place. Trent Burgoyne was in the rehab group and did a lot of running including a 6 minute fartlek. It was a very long and high intensity session. I got there at 9:30 and they were already into it and finished with a solid running session at noon. I think other posters have covered my main take aways. I didn't see AMW but I might have missed him. I think everyone else was there. Jefferson and Sestan are training with the main group. Sestan has a very mature body and ran out the match sim surprisingly well for someone off a low base. Adams and Verrall are in the rehab group running. They both have solid frames for development.

Best 44 for Hawthorn
Backline looks decent, including Hardwick and DGB on the bench. The ball is going to spend a lot of time down there with that young midfield.

I find it helps if you know the players' numbers.

AFL Age Ladder
We'll have 5 30+yo best 22 players at the start of the the 2023 season plus 3 who are 28yo and 7 who are 27yo. Geelong will have 12 30+yo best 22 players at the start of the 2023 season, plus 1 who is 29yo and 2 who are 27yo. Both teams have 15 best 22 who are 27+yo but there's a big difference in the detail with 10 of ours under 30 compared with only 3 of theirs.

Some really great photos there. The Bowey kick and Viney mark with the terrace houses in the background are both superb. They capture the exact moment in precise focus.

2022 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Rubbish assessment. Jefferson won't make any impact until September 2025, which is fine.

Yes my understanding it's straight after DFA 1 on 10 November and before DFA 2

Michael Hibberd & Jake Melksham - 1 Year Extensions
Cameron vs Smith In the 2022 QF Cameron kicked 3.1 from 5 disposals, 4 kicks on Hibberd. I don't think Hibbo "got torched"

Michael Hibberd & Jake Melksham - 1 Year Extensions
I doubt Turner can play Hibberd's role, can you see him going with Charlie Cameron?

Phantom Drafts Thread 2022
I doubt very much that Essendon will give us F1st (5-10) + 22 + 54 for 13 + 37. It's bad for them at every point.

Welcome to Demonland Pick 37
I always thought the context of that picture depended how many reps he'd done. He was clearly trying hard and at completion.

Phantom Drafts Thread 2022
My daughter assured me the modern term is "chonky". At 185/87 I'm not implying George is fat. He's likely muscle bound at a young age and that would give him a big advantage in U18 that may not translate.

Perception of usernames
Thanks Gorgoroth - it was educational. I liked some of it - Black Crow, Tyrants, Ave Danuvi. Suldusk is very accessible and clearly my favourite there - no surprise I guess because she's a bit of an outlier I think. I confess I didn't listen to all the songs on your list in their entirety. Outside of Suldusk, my playlists are unlikely to change, but my Spotify recommendations are likely to be interesting for a while based on the searches I did from your list. I do appreciate there's a place for the genre and if it didn't exist someone would need to make it. Cheers.
