  1. Agree. It will be fascinating to see if Richmond use Lynch in the ruck. It was comical at times with Grigg supporting Nankervis. If Nankervis went down in a big match they would be totally screwed. Soldo and Chol are ordinary depth too if he's out for weeks.

HTF do Port get that as an away game? Something to do with needing a game every week at AO so they need the home game?
  3. That's the whole point, it's premature to make judgements about individual trades now. The thing I do make judgements about is trading philosophy. We trade for outcomes and have a reputation for getting the deal done. Dodoro and Bell do their teams no favours in the long run IMO. Play hard ball on Lever. Maybe May and GC don't have faith in us to get the deal done and lose patience and he ends up elsewhere.
  4. Thread should be on Trade board btw
  5. Seriously? We win a flag in the next 5 years with Lever and May making significant contributions and they look like smart trades. Win more than that and they look like genius. Don't win any and you have a point. It's not about winning trade week - expect better of you.
  6. I'm a believer. He was very close to explosion this year.

He's like Joel Smith, the FD are looking at what he can do. not what he can't do, They might be competing for a similar role in the fwd 50.

Nathan Jones has some challenges in front of him in his final career phase adapting to a new role outside the primary centre square set but there's every reason to believe he will meet them He's too good not to be best 22. As you say, his media work is first class now and that's a real asset. It takes time and effort and I think it's better all around for the team if he continues to take this load.
  13. Has your glass got a hole in it? Freo must be wondering what's wrong with Hogan too because according to you we let him go too cheaply.
  14. Told you under "cone of silence" or fine to have it on the public record? We all appreciate inside information but one needs to be careful that one's sources do not dry up from being aired too much.
  15. why do I give @Queanbeyan Demon post more credit than your's?

    Great guy - your loss.
  19. His rating system has a lot of grades A- and B+, C- and D+. From A to F that gives 16 different rating levels and that's leaving out A+ and F-. Put them on the line Terry and be more definitive.

It's very rare for successful KPFs to be drafted outside the first round and usually earlier the better.

Soccer and basketball OMG - both horrible for the same but opposite reason.
  22. Where's @Petraccattack's genius when you need it?

I love NFL and I don't follow a team. I have lived in the States for two decent stints which helped me get across the line of understanding. i think if you get over the initial learning curve you'll grow to love it too. I'm not an officionado of all the set plays but I understand the rules and the basic strategies and it's very enjoyable. It's a completely different concept to AFL, much more structured. The H&A season of just 16 rounds then play-offs makes you hungry for more. I like baseball too and it's more immediately understandable and accessible but the absolute saturation coverage of the ridiculously long season with so many H&A games eventually put me off it a bit.
  24. Yes I'm keen to see Dec train with the forwards, he has got some form there at VFL level and tall depth forward is thin whereas tall depth back is deep and he's a long way back in the pecking order.
  25. Thanks for that WJ, using your "Ins" from that post, I said I'd add the outgoing future picks to balance the ledger and provide the full context and AFAIK here's the current state of play prior to the conclusion of pick trading and live trading on draft night (the outs don't have the deal status).
