We may not NEED to trade him to pay for Ben Brown but we should to keep the cap balanced by role. We've got a fair bit tied up in May and Lever and we don't want $700k playing at Casey. Omac and Preuss will be gone too but we've got Brown coming in, hopefully Petty fit and we should look for a depth ruck. In addition we could recontract Mitch Brown as tall depth. I hope we can find a taker for most of his salary.

I doubt they'll pay $1.5M over 5 years but they'll definitely pay some. would you trade Brayshaw (say to Freo) for the cap space and some extra pick currency to get Treloar? I'd be tempted.
