  1. I'd prefer to win next week than this week, but why do we have to get smashed?
  2. This is all true, but I'd still like to see us be competitive against the third worst team in the AFL.
  3. It's probably the worst ground for any club in the history of the game.
  4. On the upside, Cale Morton's been good. He's gonna be something, I tell you what.
  5. Yep. Thanks for picking that up. Maths was never my strong suit.
  6. I'd say it all depends on how good the Juice tastes tomorrow.
  7. You're talking about Fev, not Green, right?
  8. Absolutely right. Almost a quarter of our supporters are members. Compare that to the "million" magpie supporters and their 40 000 members and I'd say we're doing quite well in the membership department.
  9. We had David Neitz. He's done more than every one of these players, barring Black, Brown, McLeod and Judd. Bear in mind I'm not saying we're not crap. We don't have champions. White and Yze have been champions. Bruce has been at times in his career as good as most on that list. By the way, I'd not agree with on Cooney, Glass and Goodwyn as champions. Riewoldt hasn't done anything spectacular. Just the other week, Luke Hodge cost the Hawks the match with his terrible, Bruce-like turn-over by foot in the dying minutes against the Cats. Pavlich has, time and time again been unable to save his team in the dying minutes.Etc, etc, etc. Not to say these players aren't very very good.
  10. Can anybody who watches the Footy Show every week tell me how many times Fev's been on it this year. It feels to me like at least 15 times.
  11. But even that was overshadowed by Root McLean.
  12. That's a bit ridiculous, I think. Essendon, Port Adelaide and Sydney all won Premierships with those players, and Collingwood make back-to-back Grand Finals. Of course they're gonna have good players. By the way, Alan Didak is a hack of the highest order. Very overrated.
  13. This all sounds delightfully pointless. I love it! So conceivably, one could, by making good posts, have a bank of beers without ever spending any money. Would you be able to on-trade a beer bought for you by someone else?
  14. I'd go Brad Green and Jeff White to Carlton for their first round pick. They may not be interested in that, however, so I'd also give up Whitey for a 3rd rounder.
  15. Thanks for that. I loved the Irishman too. I used to go all the time as a little kid with my grandpa and keep an eye on him. My name is Jimmy and his is Jim so we both loved to watch him play. Also, my first footy memory was of Jeff Farmer's incredible mark on Gary Lyon's back. Good times!
  16. I was just wondering if anyone here has ever had a player that, for some reason, they just loved. They don't need to be the best. They don't even need to be good. Maybe it was their haircut or their running style. Whatever it is, I'd like to hear it. For me, I just loved the way Nathan Brown played. There was something about him I thought was great, and I was really sad when he retired, although I did understand why. What does everyone else think?
  17. I disagree. Clubs with good coaches and good players and good facilities make finals. Clubs where more than one of these are bad don't make finals often. Clubs where more than one of these are great win Premierships. To me, it's that simple.
  18. I don't think Paul Johnson is that muck better than he was. It's just that he's finally been able to play a few games in a row.
  19. Yeah. But there's something weird about the way he moves. He's all hunched over or something. Or is it just me?
  20. I think consensus is he's beyond terrible.
