I don't think they are questions worth worrying about. Mids look for options first and foremost - they may pick the wrong one, then they may not have the skill to execute, then they might hesitate on the right option leaving them no good options. I am not going along with this 'ignoring' argument, and I lay the blame for our poor NAB Cup results of the last two weeks at the feet of our mids.
-
I saw a potential CHF that would take years to develop. Others saw a potential CHF that would take a season and some harsh words to develop. And some think that a failure to be a consistently good forward in a mid-range team, with sparse and at times awful delivery, at the age of 19 is tacit approval for venom. Those people have failed to develop.
-
Jeez, don't read that much into the kicking of our mids. We don't get it forward enough, and we don't kick to the advantage of our forwards. So good luck to a 19 year old 196cm CHF... And yeah, I mentioned his age, at some point it won't be relevant, maybe when he isn't so fracking young...
-
Yeah, except for Jurrah, we suck. But i'll never accept anything less than 12 wins this year! Not with this draw!! Arrgghh!
-
Please. Top 4 finishes in the Bluey in any year is an achievement. Recent form is just that. And it's from months ago - we'll see. And I have not said that Bate is an automatic starter, what I have said is that Dunn has as much work to do as Bate. Bate is attempting to recapture something, Dunn is attempting to get to a level he has never seen before. Good luck to both of them, they're gonna need it.
-
They are on the same level in my eyes. They play slightly differently but they both have pressure on them to perform in similar roles. I cannot fathom the love for Dunn after his exceedingly sub-par career up to half way through 2010. He then plays a decent role as a negative forward player who kicks a couple goals and suddenly he is given more leeway from some easily satisfied fans (maybe that is unfair and that we are simply comparing his decent form of 2010 to his awful form of the rest of his career...).

Because footy isn't their life. The losers.

We aren't the innocant party in this 'treat each other with deference' meme you are saying is being 'final strawed' with Fev. We pull players form finals that are important to Casey because they are not important to us, and here they can snare a player that might mean a chance at a flag and they have done it. We quite rightly said 'don't do it' but Casey not listening to us and having this idiot sitting at FF for a year isn't a good enough reason to pull out of the agreement on its own - he'll be gone when and if we decide to renege. If we do decide to go on our own and start up a 'Cranbourne Demons' - we better cite some actual reasons for doing so.
-
We should push to take them over. We will stay in the region even with a 'reserves' side and it would be best if we were 'one.' Also, Fev being there isn't ar eason to go it alone - he will be gone in 2012 and we won't have the 'lightning rod' to blame for the split.
-
That is revisionist rubbish. Bate has had two top 4 finishes in the Bluey. But because he had a poor 2010 he gets less credit than Dunn who has played half a decent season in his career. Fans with short memories...
-
So I guess someone has already made their mind up on Brian Royal... Let's give him a chance, and our starting back 6, hey?
-
Ugh. They can sign him, but the club is right to be stern with Casey. He is a lost cause as a footballer and should retire and rebuild his life. It is time to move on. From a MFC perspective I hope the contract is clause-ridden and that he doesn't fraternise with any MFC players outside of training and gameday. And there is no plus here for us, only potential downside. Fev teaching the kids a few tricks?! Don't kid yourselves. The only thing Fev will be doing for Cook, Fitzpatrick, et al. is occupying a position they should be played in.
-
Well, I guess this is being unaware of one's thoughts. You can't 'flick a switch' as evidenced by Rd 1, 2010? Then what about Rd 2, 2010? Wasn't that the epitome of a 'flick switch'? I thought, apart from Rd 1, we started 2010 pretty well. And I see the progression of this young team to include the "performed below expectations" year that young teams go through. Will it be this year? Or next? Frankly, other than a decent gameplan and exposing our talent to AFL - I don't care. Just looking forward to the footy and watching the kids grow up.

HR intimated a greater personal distress than MFCSS and you shouldntry and back that up, lest you sound foolish.
-
Huh? Can't a bloke just be a nervous MFC supporter at heart and write piece of rubbish?
-
GrandSON of a gun. And how far away is Max Gawn? 'Bout 5 years.
-
I don't know if it was a full 180 turn but... I mean Mike - "Until he signs with Melbourne he is headed to GWS"?! What the frack kind of statement is that? Until I get-up in the morning I will never wake-up? It's MFCSS.
-
Or anyone who equated those believing in the Eddie's stupid rumour to those who didn't believe Eddie's stupid rumour. Oh, you're only going off the same information as each other - you can't criticise anyone for thinking a 19 year old MFC-player, halfway through his first contract, would already sign a contract purely on how much cash. Noobs.

The team is difficult to see but the Flag Core © is there: Watts, Frawley, Trengove, Scully, Jurrah, Morton, Grimes, McKenzie and Garland will provide the base, the star capability, to win flags.

Scully's management to talk to Melbourne this week
rpfc replied to SoNotFunny's topic in Melbourne Demons
Why not? He hasn't signed yet. That is what was claimed. Therefore 'told-ya-so's can be given to those who will take it. Scully isn't going anywhere. 19 year old chasing money...Some don't think much of people anymore, or people just don't think much... -
And yet, if that question wasn't asked, we would have ADC come on here and say that Tom was equivocating and that his dad or agent signed the deal and have posters believe it. I assume, before he calls up his source and tells him to get 'farked' he wants to be sure.
-
That is a little unfair. I would rate him as one of the best of an awful lot but, he can get swept away when inside 'knowledge' is given to him. I always thought the press would be used by GWS to 'stir things up' and here we are. We have been used as well.
-
Maybe the next time he listens so intently to people with a clear intent, he should ask himself - "Qui Bono?" Who benefits?

Scully's management to talk to Melbourne this week
rpfc replied to SoNotFunny's topic in Melbourne Demons
Let's discuss it. How the hell would they fit him the cap? How the hell do they get us a decent deal? Now let's discuss why you are rationalising the irrational. Come on, man.
