  1. The logistics of a backman being 2nd ruck are troublesome to say the least.
  2. I like that team AOD. S-load of run. 10 runners plus Lumumba in the 22. We won't win it out of the Middle much again so transition is what we have to about.
  3. And another player giving up The Life ©, hey C&B? Just crazy...
  4. As I said in my post - his retirement affirms the decision. But the trigger of his retirement was this proposed demotion to the rookie list. That should give one pause IMO.
  5. Not entirely certain of what you are asking. The CBA is below. http://www.aflplayers.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/CBA-2012-2016-FINAL.pdf
  6. Does this answer any questions people had between the differences between the Primary List and the Rookie List? And the fact that some players would baulk at the decision to be demoted? I am not saying it was an incorrect decision, in fact his retirement affirms the decision, but there were some on here that felt contracted players would walk willingly and magnanimously onto the Rookie List.
  7. Give us an example of the 99%. Enlighten. And how is it that I have been here in this one incarnation for 7 years, and have never been a moderator, and don't feel this oppression and archaic censorship?
  8. Then pick the Talia / Fyfe / Gunston or Sidebottom / Beams / Hannebery of those effing drafts then... I feel like we have the most players to choose from and the least at the same time....
  9. Other people get held liable for what you say - you can understand that but not comprehend it. It is not censorship.
  10. As stupid as it sounds - black stripes on white is hell of a lot lighter than white stripes on black... Pretty boring though...
  11. Yes, Collingwood is lucky enough to have a terribly boring colour set and design that easily lends itself to be made very dark and then very light, simply by 'drawing the shades'...
  12. What are you talking about? The Internet is the most lawless body in history. You have happened upon a tiny spec of it that has a clear ownership structure with a desire to not be held culpable by what people post. This is what you are having a meltdown about. Bigfooty will accommodate you. You can say hello to Hannibal. That's something...
  13. I'm glad too... I don't know why the Bulldogs wore all red, I don't really think it is relevant to this club. The white is not what I want to see but we have worn all white before in our long history so I won't reject it outright like some have. All red doesn't sit well with me but at the end of the day this is a small issue. The clash strips look fine, let's move on.
  14. Early? You are walking out of the cinema during the trailers, nah you haven't seen a trailer yet - you walking out during a Pancake Parlour ad...
  15. No the NBA allows FAs to go anywhere (unless you are Chris Paul but that is another story) but a FAs team can offer more money and longer contracts than any other team so that does make a difference. The NBA is heavily equalised though so teams don't lose money, the bigger teams share their profits across the league. But we could never have that here because... ...
  16. Dunn's last two years does well to save that draft but what low expectations we have, hey? Bate at 13, Newton with 43, P Johnson trade with 29, Scott Thompson replaced by Beamer is a loss, a mitigated loss, but still a loss. ND12, 13, and 15 should really still be here and only Dunn is...
  17. We should discuss this post in 5 years time... Great news? We will discuss this then I promise - it will be better than Interstellar... 5th dimension? You skipped right over the 4th!?!
  18. How draconian... Let me know when Stakkaland or C&B Land is operational.
  19. Maybe the black we used to wear? People uncomfortable with black and red as colours? It's funny how wearing white shorts as the away team is an unquestioned remnant of history. I remember a NAB Cup game a few years ago we wore red jumper with blue shorts - it didn't look terrible. The white shorts might have to do.
  20. You can start your own forum and turn off the censoring and the moderating capability. It would be a beacon.
  21. Yes, but when have we ever worn all red? I am attached to the blood red yolk with the dark navy blue style. I would argue, and have, that the white is more aligned to our history than a movement toward the kind of 'all-red' clash strip that we are talking about. I am not going to get into it as I don't mind the red clash strip, but an all red number is a step I am not that comfortable with. If people thought our last clash strip made us look like Sydney, we would look like GC in all red.
  22. Mark Cuban, the Owner of the Dallas Mavericks NBA Franchise, decided years ago that 'the Mavs don't do development' and that all they target are proven NBA pros that can do what their, admittedly fantastic, coach Rick Carlisle wants them to do. They get Free Agents and Trade and rarely do they go to the draft with a meaningful pick, or with many of them.
  23. That decision is not the one that give me nightmares (yet). Although I was attached to the kid before the draft (I hate when that happens...). It's 2001, 2004, 2007, 2008 (later picks not really Jack), 2009, and 2011. (shivers)
  24. Quite revealing about why we have been so poor in the last few years. Our hopeless drafting from 2001 to 2004 means that only Jamar and Dunn are players drafted then that still remain. Our disastrous efforts from 2007 to 2011 means that we have only 11 players aged 22-26 that we drafted - that is a crucial 5 year age range for AFL clubs. The most promising 5 players of those 11 are McDonald, Jetta, Watts, Howe, and Grimes. Another 6 of that 11 may not be on the list for much longer: Trengove, Fitz, Gawn, McKenzie, Spencer, and Bail. Prime years of a football career and we don't have many and we don't have much quality.
  25. That article was written with a bent that Adelaide had picked the wrong kid, purely because of group think among 'experts.' Rendell backs himself, the AFC back him too, and he recruits the best player of that draft. We take the talent in that draft at ND4 that 'we have to take' and he is gone 5 years later. The 'tenth best player' in a draft was a generational talent - does that give you pause?
