Farewell Jesse Hogan
This is where you lose me. It isn't a fact. We traded him out, we actively sought another player knowing we would use what we got for Hogan to source that player. Now there are whispers to the contrary of your whispers. You should be more equivocal with your 'inside knowledge' if indeed you have that inside knowledge. Because it sounds like you are not told much of the truth. I told you I believed my lying eyes and my lying eyes were right. And that is a fact.

Maybe. We've got a star tall defender and a best 22 winger out of our loot - can't tell you what BL and GWS get out of theirs...

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Observable reality (if you’re smart enough) screamed that we came into this trade period ready to trade out Hogan and move on May. The fact that Mahoney inelegantly admitted that we won’t get May if Hogan isn’t traded revealed how desperate we were to send Hogan to Fremantle; we were actively recruiting a player with the riches from trading Hogan. ! Its a maths equation: x requires y and we want x, so y has to happen and did happen.

Jason Taylor Resume
Aside from Peter Bell everyone handled this really well and I am once again impressed with how Mahoney handles the exit of a previous ‘messiah’ with honesty (to a degree) and lack of fuss. The posters that would have said ‘no deal’ for 8 places in the draft displayed pointless pedantry that would achieved nothing but get in the way of short, medium, and long term planning of the list and the club. Mahoney. Gets. [censored]. Done.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I’m interested to hear what the reaction is at the G for the inevitable game we play against them next year. Will we boo him? Nuff nuffs? What do you reckon?

Goodwin and co sure do seem ‘ecstatic’ for Hogan to be playing in the backline for the Dees in 2019... I’m with GNF, let’s see how it goes...

PICKS # 26 & 31 (formerly # 23 & 28)
- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
I think we will give Preuss FF a go with the 6-6-6. Someone has to start in the square. Having Weideman, T Mac, Melksham, Petracca and Spargo/Fritsch/Hannan/Garlett seems pretty appetising for our midfield to hit up with no intercepting loose players...- Farewell Jesse Hogan
Yeah, the inference is that we will get him back cheaply in a couple years when Lyon has his way and he becomes a ‘turn croad’ ...- Jason Taylor Resume
Get out of the weeds and look at it from a higher POV: we turned a star asset about to enter his prime that didn’t want to be around anymore into a star asset in his prime, a possible best 22 player about to enter his prime, and a top 25 pick. We didn’t go back to the draft for a kid, we helped out the weakest area of the list, possibly addressed a glaring need with ball use and got a reasonable pick for the next spargo. I am impressed that we lose Hogan and yet have a better team for Rd 1 next year.- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KADE KOLODJASHNIJ
It’s obvious this is designed to attack the need that the Gaff chase was to address. He definitely has a role in the best 22 if he can get fit - beautiful kick. Basically replace Tyson/Jones kicking into the forward line with KK/Salem and we are a lot better.- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY

So my lying eyes were telling the truth?! Its that damn observable reality again...- Farewell Jesse Hogan
I think we are a big chance to go into 2019 with 38 or 39 on the senior list. There is just no point in bringing in 2 players in the ND when you could probably get them with more flexibility in the Rookie Draft.- Farewell Jesse Hogan
I will take that problem... - WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
