Farewell Sam Weideman
Oh, no, I know footy quite well, much more than yourself. Even lauded Sam earlier in the year for his efforts in Adelaide in playing his role in the ruck. He may still have a role to play at this club in the wake of a certain ruckman leaving but when you praise a performance of invisibility and ineffectiveness you lose whatever credibility you have. Our most impactful tall forward inside the 50 was Fritsch and outside the 50 was Melksham. They get to contests and compete when they get the ball down to ground.

You’re emotionally invested in what Matthew Lloyd, Kane Cornes, and Mark Robinson say…

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Looks like we promised him midfield time…

POSTGAME: Rd 20 vs Fremantle
Yes, love that. I am sure he will get a little bit of ‘fan respect’ nonsense. The club should laugh it off - the fan wanted a reaction and they got one.

CHANGES: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
He was. I would just love to tell him to calm down with the footy and take a breath. He tends to rush into a 50/50, Spargo on the other hand waits and lets the game get him a 75/25 or sometimes an absolute dime to someone.

CHANGES: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
I can’t imagine Brown won’t come in. I have to agree on ANB… he is a leader so the crunch through there has to be very rough if he is pushed out. Handy to have Brayshaw to just run through the middle. Fritsch said on a post game radio interview that Clayton just slotted into Freo’s drop zones and made a nuisance of himself with Aish close checking him. That tells me that our team ethos is still burning strong. Really sets up a big 3 weeks - win two and we will have a home QF most likely.

He said we would unload, so to speak, on Freo. He was right, but so was everyone saying we needed to get back to our pressure suffocating best. God, we were intimidating.

No idea how Shai autocorrected…

3 Clubs Chasing Kozzy
Was waiting for this. Hope he is comfortable in Melbourne. Can be Cyril, can be Shari/Gresham type, and is so skilful.

GAMEDAY: Rd 20 vs Fremantle
Haha. What a re-write! ‘Yes, the fundamental conceit of my essay has been debunked but what if it was true?! Can you imagine?!’

Was about to ask. That looks bloody terrible. It’s like they are making a volleyball field off to the side…

Yes, and our FD don’t think in terms of getting back picks. They want enough to do what they want to do - ie Hogan got us May, Preuss got us Brown. If Jackson gets us Larkey that would be excellent. That’s not to say there aren’t other options but as an example - it suits.- TEAMS: Rd 20 vs Fremantle
Or Jordan with Gus to wing.- Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
There is already a report he took less than market. All our senior players have done that from the reporting of when they are signed (no Lord Nev I am not going to go and find links). Occams Razor says this is why they agree to long term deals. Gawn has talked about keeping the band together and it looks like he has done it.- Farewell Luke Jackson
First time I heard was with Giannis… Swings and roundabouts…- Farewell Luke Jackson
In fairness, that narrative was moulded by collective hand wringing on here by some of the more ‘susceptible’ posters… Essentially, the inmates started a panic, got bloodied, and then sat back after and complained about how easy it was for them to panic and more should have been done to stop themselves from panicking.- Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Yes, it’s such an affirmation of where the club is at and where the group is going. Keeping people motivated to be better can’t just be about ‘the end of their contract’ and we have obviously said to ourselves - these are players to build around - be it performance, structure, culture or all of the above. Such a great spot to be - very few question marks or worries heading into the rest of the decade when it comes to competing with the best.- Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Ah yes, I see @DeeSpencerrivalling @olisik for the bullishness in their next thought without reflecting on their last wrong thought. Its like a daily amnesia, a ‘50 first dates’ type scenario for boneheaded opinions.- Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Might just be happy for his mate.- Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
It’s a shame. He’s a great bloke too, good leader. And if it was in isolation it might be ok but they have Whitfield, Kelly, Greene and Coniglio on $900+. Essentially, we pay less for Oliver, Petracca, May, and Gawn.- Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Stephen Coniglio would be the cause for pause. They are no brainers for me because you avoid a bidding war in the future and we basically can assure recruits and coaches that you have this talent for the decade so why wouldn’t you want to be here. Injuries are brought up as a reason not to do this but they happen, it’s not like we wouldn’t keep a 30 year old Oliver if he did his knee (touch wood). - Farewell Luke Jackson
